James Sprowles of Camelback Drive, Campbellsville, son of the late Everett Sprowles and Rhea Beard Sprowles, was born November 30, 1938, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 4:00 A.M., Saturday, July 27, 2002, in Campbellsville.Age: 63He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.He was a retired employee of the Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.He united in marriage to Paulette Landis Beard December 24, 1986.Besides his wife, Paulette Sprowles of Camelback Drive, Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and one son: Melissa Sapp and Steve Sprowles of Campbellsville; one step-son, Todd Beard of Danville; one granddaughter, Jessica Sprowles of Burlington, Iowa; three sisters: Mattie Durham, Thelma Grimes and Arvella Kearnes of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Keith Sprowles and Dencil Sprowles.FUNERAL SERVICES:2:00 P.M., Monday, July 29th, at the Parrott RamseyFuneral Home in Campbellsville byRev. #65279;Sallie Gilpin WethingtonMrs. Sallie Gilpin Wethington, age 89, of South Central Avenue, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at the Taylor County Hospital after an illness.She was the daughter of the late John and Lillie Farmer Wethington of Taylor County. Shewas member of the First Church of God and a homemaker. Mrs. Wethington was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Gilpin, one son and two daughters, Ronald Gilpin, Eva Irene Buck and Tracie Bright.Mrs. Wethington is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Helen Marie Spradlin, Margie and Orville Hughes, Paul Buck all of Campbellsville, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild along with a host of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted at 2:00P.M. Friday July 26, 2002 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home chapel with burial in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.Brother Roy Phillips and Brother Clifton Hale officiated.

Herbert Keeton of Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Guy Keeton and Olga Roberts Keeton was born in Wayne County, Kentucky, February 5, 1922. He died at 9:20 P.M., Monday, July 15, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 80He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a retired prominent Campbellsville businessman. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Campbellsville Gideon Camp and Campbellsville Kiwanis Club and a former trustee of Campbellsville University.He united in marriage to Jean Shepperd September 12, 1942.Besides his wife, Jean Keeton, he is survived by two daughters and one son and their spouses: Brenda Sammy Barnett, Wanda Kenny Hurt, and David Becky Keeton of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: DeAnna Brangers of Louisville, Kerry Barnett of Bardstown, and Jenna Hurt, Tanner Keeton, and Derek Keeton of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Chelsey Barnett, Levi Barnett, and Macy Brangers of Louisville; one brother, Eugene Keeton of Clarksville, Tennessee; several other relatives and many friends.He was also preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Keeton.FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 17th at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. J. Funeral services for Mrs. Lou Connie Christie will be held at 11:00 A.M.
