Elozie Dean Franklin of Jamestown, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Toley Arthur Warren and Ethel Josephine Hash Warren, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 29, 1931. She died at 8:05 P.M., Monday, September 22, 2008, in Russell Springs. Age: 76 She had been employed as a waitress. She united in marriage to John Franklin, Jr. Besides her husband, John Franklin, Jr. of Jamestown, she is survived two sisters-in-law: Shirley Warren and Pansy Willis of Campbellsville; one niece, Deborah Dean Overstreet of Campbellsville and one nephew, Dwight Eugene Warren of Jacksonville, Florida; a special cousin, Freddy Gault of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Angel McCubbin age 46 of New Kensington, PA formerly of Campbellsville died Saturday after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Randy McCubbin of New Kensington, PA., one daughter Michelle Walkley of Campbellsville, KY., her parents Paul and Goldie Smith of Mannsville, KY., and one brother Clifford Krider of Campbellsville, KY., and two nieces, Natasha Krider of Louisville, Ky and Nicole Krider of California. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00PM Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Wanda Shepherd of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Paul Swafford and Dollie Kearney Swafford, was born June 20, 1950, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 2:28 P.M., Tuesday, September 16, 2008. in Louisville. Age: 58 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Leon Shepherd April 18, 1969. She is survived by her husband, Leon Shepherd of Campbellsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Dr. Matt Marshbanks of Bowling Green; one granddaughter, Addison Claire Marshbanks of Bowling Green; four brothers and their spouses: William Swafford and Donald and Norma Jean Swafford of Campbellsville, Jimmie and Gail Swafford of Winchester and Albert and Shelby Swafford of Spring Hill, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Willard LeRoy LaCrosse age 72 of Campbellsville, formerly of Wisconsin passed away Sunday at the Grandview Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Willard Leroy and Elaine LaCrosse Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife Alma Virginia LaCrosse, on step grandson, Kevin Blaydes. He was a former co-owner of the Active Ad Signs. He is survived by one step-son and two step-daughters, Perry Blaydes and Rita Bilger of Campbellsville, and Twanna Lee of West Virginia, two brothers and one sister, Dennis LaCrosse of Michigan, John LaCrosse and Rosa LaCrosse both of Wisconsin, and six step-grandchildren. Family chose cremation Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Edmon Miller, 82, of Campbellsville, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Medco Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Herlie and Mattie Skaggs Miller, he was born on August 8, 1926 in Marion County, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Christine Thompson Miller on December 22, 1943. She preceded him in death in October 2000. He was retired owner and operator of Miller Lumber Company and a farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church where he served as deacon for 54 years and song leader for 41 years. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Miller, Charlie Miller, Chester Earl Miller and three sisters, Kate Bell, Gladys Thompson and Mary Pearl Miller. He is survived by five children and their spouses, Verlas and Bettie Miller, Garry L and Phyllis Miller, Roger and Karen Miller, Jeanette and Gary Lynn Goodin all of Campbellsville, and Jean and Dennis Doughman of Seminole, Florida , Fourteen grandchildren, Cindy Hiestand, Cheryl Ritter, Ronna Mills, Scott Miller, Aaron Miller, Daniel Miller, Rebecca Miller, Ryan Miller, Chasidy Thompson, Tamara Prather, Jamie Goodin, Wendy Grant, Joey Goodin and Joshua Pike, twenty one great-grandchildren, Brittany and Shawn Mills, Lori, Michael and Katie Hiestand, Clarice, CaRynne and Cayla Ritter, Grayson and Julianne Miller, Mattie and Avery Miller, Magdalena Miller, Lacey, Lilly and Landon Miller, Tyler Goodin, Abigail and Jasmine Grant, Cameron and Jacob Goodin, one sister, Myrtle Huber and one sister-in-law, Ruby Miller both of Campbellsville.
