Val Bagby, 77

Mr. Val Ike Bagby, Sr. of Campbellsville passed from this life on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Clark Memorial Hospital in Clarksville, Indiana after an illness. Born in Green County on November 14, 1944 to the late Ike and Velma Mae (Patterson) Bagby, he was 77 years of age. Mr. Bagby was a mechanic, farmer, and a carpenter.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
Five children: James Richard Bagby and companion Dimitro of Mannsville, Valerie Austin and husband Carlos of Indiana, and Melissa Bagby, Sonny Bagby and companion Faye Tungate, and Joyce Ann Bagby, all of Campbellsville,
Three siblings: Danny Ray Bagbyand wife Wanda of Illinois, Eva Cox of Campbellsville, and Mary Price of Green County,
Nine grandchildren,
And a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a former spouse and friend: Dotty Mae Bagby; and four siblings: Coy Bagby, Robert Bagby, Junior Bagby, and Marie Nugent.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Bagby on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM EDT (12:00 PM CDT) in the Campbellsville chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery, Taylor County.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 29, from 10:00 AM EDT (9:00 AM CDT) until time for the service.

Paul Harmon, 55

Paul Harmon of Campbellsville, the son of Gerald Harmon and Peggy (Humble) Crabtree, was born April 18, 1967 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 55 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodist Church and was the finance director for Heritage Children Services.
Paul enjoyed cooking, computers and politics.
Survivors include his parents: Gerald Harmon and wife Mary and Peggy Crabtree; his wife: Jennifer (Frazier) Harmon; his children: Andreana Frazier, Will Harmon and Ashtyn Harmon; a brother: Jody Harmon and wife Vickie; brothers-in-law: Neal Frazier and wife Brenda, Tim Frazier and companion Angela; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Roger and Eileen Frazier; two nephews; one niece and many, many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joe and Lucille Humble and Paul and Lela Harmon and a sister-in-law: Annette Frazier.

The funeral service for Paul Harmon will be Friday, August 26, 2022 at the St. Andrew United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Hodges Chapel Cemetery in Summersville.

Melody Boward, 72

Mrs. Melody Boward of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, August 19, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan on June 5, 1950 to the late Gerry and Jean (Baule) Williams, she was 72 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene. She was a retired mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Mrs. Boward enjoyed traveling and raising flowers, and loved her jewelry and the jewelry club.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Four children: Laura Dillow and husband Jamie of Ohio, James Lipps and wife Letha of Campbellsville, Chad Beardslee of Michigan, and Richard Boward of Michigan,

Two siblings: Famie Coats and husband Ron of Mississippi, and Kathy Vansickle of Canada,

Twelve grandchildren,

Three great-grandchildren,

One expectant great-grandchild,

And a host of other family members and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by four siblings: Paul, Vernon, Gary, and Pat.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Boward on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. David Young will officiate. Cremation will be accorded her following the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 23, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Janie Onell Johnson, 61

Janie Onell Johnson of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Thomas Burks and Lonie Johnson was born May 10, 1961 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was 61 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Church of the Living God on Mayes Court in Campbellsville. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to music.

Survivors include a daughter: Nicole Ann Johnson of Texas; four brothers: James Johnson and wife Donna of Garland, TX, Larry John and wife Patricia and Johnny Ray Johnson and wife Janice both of Campbellsville and David Lee Johnson of Detroit and a host of other relatives and friends include a special cousin: Sarah Hunter.

The funeral service for Janie Onell Johnson will be Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Church of the Living God 299 Mayes Court in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Miller Cemetery.

Rev. Joe Richerson and Carolyn Groves will be officiating.

Rex Harrison, 71

Mr. Rex Allen Harrison of Campbellsville passed from this life on Friday, August 12, 2022 in Danville at the Select Specialty Hospital. He was 71 years of age.

He was a retired carpenter from Building Concepts, Inc. and Gabehart Lumber, and was of the Christian faith.

He was the son of the late Wilford and Miriam Evelyn (Smith) Harrison. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Demesia Harrison, and a sister, Patsy Vandivier.

Survivors include his children: Charisse LaBoyteaux and husband Terry, and Benjamin Harrison and companion Bethany Anderson; four siblings: Shirley Carew of Florida, and Steve Harrison and wife Bonnie, Jimmy Harrison, and Carol Sheckles, all of Indiana; eight grandchildren: Ayden, Zane, Creed, Callie, Tanner, Sydney, Olivia and Penelope; a great-grandchild: Alistair; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Rex Allen Harrison will be Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday until time for the service.
