Mr. Larry Michael “Mike” Waldrep of Campbellsville was born on March 4, 1962 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Dewey “Billy” and Julia (White) Waldrep. He passed from this life on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center, being 58 years, 4 months, and 30 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Waldrep was a mechanic by trade, and having an easy-going nature, he enjoyed many weekends watching Alabama football on Saturday and a NASCAR race on Sunday.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

One son: Blair Waldrep and wife Carly of Campbellsville,

A sister: Shirl Rock and husband Danny of Hodgenville,

Five grandchildren: Christopher Waldrep, Shyler Waldrep, Deliah Waldrep, Crimson Waldrep, and Kayla Outlaw,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Tyler Waldrep.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Waldrep on Friday, August, 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Todd Parrish will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery, Hwy 527, Campbellsville, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 6, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the funeral expenses. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

Jeanette Clements, 64

Mrs. Jeanette Marie (Garrett) Clements was born on November 16, 1956 in Campbellsville, to the late Bennie and Lois (Gribbins) Garrett.

She passed away on Friday July 30, 2021 at Taylor Regional Hospital, being 64 years, 8 months, 14 days of age. She was a housekeeper for 25 years and loved farming. Jeanette loved to play bingo, have fun, and was an exceptional cook. She also loved her son and family and was one of the strongest women they knew.

Jeanette accepted Christ as her personal savior and was of the Baptist faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

One son: Eugene Clements and wife Kathy of Elk Horn,

Three grandchildren: Chelsey Clements, Whitney Clements and Austin Clements,

Six siblings: Stanley Garrett of Merrimac, Junior Garrett and wife Carol of Indianapolis, and Josephine Newton and husband Roy, Evelyn Cox and husband Bobby, Betty Seals and husband James, and Connie Gribbins and husband George, all of Campbellsville,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Ray Eugene “Gene” Clements, son Ray Jr., and four siblings, David Garrett, Hanley Garrett, Juanita Cox, and Barbara Tungate.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Clements on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville KY. Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Bernard Church Cemetery in Clementsville.

visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Melissa Willis, 51

Mrs. Melissa Gayle Willis of La Vergne, TN, formerly of Campbellsville, passed from this life on Friday, July 30, 2021 at her home. She was born in Taylor County on April 2, 1970 to the late Kenneth and Glenda Jean (Cox) Rainwater, and was 51 years of age at the time of her passing. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Mannsville. She was a retiree of Burger King, where she had served as manager for 25 years. Mrs. Willis was the devoted wife to Mr. Larry Willis, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2018. Melissa loved her family and being a mother, and spent as much time as possible with her grandchild.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two children: Miranda Willis (Chris Taylor), and Bryce Willis (Katie Claunch),

One grandchild: Levi Taylor,

Seven siblings: Greg (Destiny) Rainwater, Kevin (Krista) Rainwater, Shawn Rainwater, Elizabeth “Libby” Rainwater, Stacey (John Blake) Rainwater, Kristi Rainwater, and Tonia Rainwater,

And a host of other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three siblings: Kim Rainwater, Timothy Rainwater, and David Rainwater.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Willis on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville KY. Bro. Don Gowin will be officiating.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Green River Memorial Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 PM CST).

George Harris, 75

Mr. George Lee Harris of Campbellsville, son of the late Orby and Jessie (Whitlock) Harris, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, July 26, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Marion County on December 18, 1945, he was 75 years, 7 months, and 8 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Harris was a lifelong farmer and a timber cutter and sawmill worker. He enjoyed spending time in God’s creation, and was a talented animal trainer with a passion for hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by five siblings: Jimmy Harris, Charles Harris, David Harris, Carl Harris, and Dottie Mae Bagby.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Four children: George D, Harris and wife Kim of Raywick, Chad Isaiah Harris and wife Sheena of Green County, Tammy Sue Fisher and husband Michael of Franklin, and Ramona Gail Burris and husband Tracey of Campbellsville,

Five siblings: Minnie Sullivan of Campbellsville, Modean Keeling of Mt. Washington, and Betty Graham, Mary Rose Hensley, and Kathy Thompson, all of Campbellsville,

Fourteen grandchildren,

Twenty-one great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Harris chose cremation. All services were performed privately.

Victor Richards, 67

Mr. Victor Lee Richards of Campbellsville was born on November 17, 1953 to Fred and Lydia (Reeves) Richards. He entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, being 67 years, 8 months, and 4 days of age. Born in Danville and raised in Casey County, he had a natural affinity for all things outdoors. A favorite hobby was four wheeling or fishing – especially when his children and grandchildren joined him. Mr. Richards was a talented carpenter and spent the majority of his working life in residential building. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Elkhorn Baptist and Ellisburg Baptist.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife: Patricia Anne “Patti” (Gribbins) Richards,

Three sons: Raymond Joseph Gribbins and wife Stephanie of Campbellsville, Robert Lee Richards and wife Nicole of Casey County, and Ryan Aaron Richards and fiance Taylor of Somerset,

One daughter: Kaylee Gribbins-Harris and husband Colton of Campbellsville,

Nine grandchildren: Sierra Gribbins, Raymond Axel Gribbins, Hazel Rose Harris, Jasalynn Richards, Chloe Richards, Isaac Fancher, Caleb Fancher, Lilly Spencer, Adley Richards, and Walker Hyden,

Special friends: Carol and Candy Wethington, and Pastor Raymond and Ann Hollins,

And a host of other friends and family members.

Mr. Richards took great pride in providing peace of mind for his family and had chosen to be cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
