Patricia Moore, 76

Mrs. Patricia Ann (Phillips) Beirer Moore of Campbellsville was born on January 14, 1946 in Los Angeles, California, and departed this life on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an extended illness. She was 76 years of age. She was the wife of Mr. Don Moore, with whom she shared 35 years of life. Mrs. Moore had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Church of God.

“Oma” is a German word for “Granny”. It was also a title Mrs. Moore wore proudly, earning every bit of love, respect, and admiration the word encapsulates. She was a mother and grandmother first and foremost, and a trusted confidant for her family. Oma daily showered everyone she knew with love and compassion. She loved helping people; her heart of gold was only rivaled by a quiet, inner strength that could move mountains.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Her husband: Don Moore of Campbellsville,

Three children: Sonja Hughes and husband Todd of Campbellsville, Sheri Chandler and husband Denny of Louisville, and Lisa Lewis of Louisville,

Ten grandchildren: Salena Ritchie, Dominique Allen, Dalton Hughes, Noah Hughes, Ava Hughes, Alexa Quinn and husband Dylan, Brandenn Finch, Jocelyne Finch, Alexis Lewis, and Ashley Newman,

Three great-grandchildren: Carlo, Elijah, and Cassie,

And a host of other family and friends.

There wil be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Moore on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Evan Tedder will be officiating. At the request of Mrs. Moore, cremation will be accorded her following the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the funeral home after 5:00 PM until time for the service.

Rachel Skaggs Ritchie, 34

Rachel Leigh Skaggs Ritchie, the daughter of Terry Lynn and Tammy (Barnes) Skaggs, was born March 13, 1988 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 34 years of age.

She was a food server and enjoyed crafts, painting, dancing, singing and softball and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her husband: Wayne Ritchie of Campbellsville; her parents: Terry Lynn and Tammy Barnes Skaggs of Campbellsville; three children: Piper, Phoebe and Levi Ritchie all of Campbellsville; a brother: Josh Skaggs of Campbellsville; her grandmother: Helen Barnes of Elizabethtown.

Also surviving are her aunts and uncles; Gwendolyn Skaggs, Melvin Skaggs, April Ogle, Jamie Ogle, Michael Barnes, Kelly Barnes, Tyrone Barnes and Andrea Barnes and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Rachel Leigh Skaggs Ritchie will be conducted Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bro. John Hall will be officiating.

Visitation from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Douglas Edward ‘Doug” Cox, 65

Douglas Edward “Doug” Cox, the son of Dollie Jean (Gabbert) Cox and the late Kermit Cox, was born April 4, 1956 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 65 years of age,

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church.

Before becoming disabled, he was an employee of former Crabtree’s Firestone in Campbellsville.

Doug, which he was known mostly as enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with his grandkids and family.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by three half-sisters: Patricia Lee, Linda Nunn and Wilma Sluder.

Survivors include his mother: Dollie Jean Cox of Campbellsville; a son and a daughter: Justin Edward Cox of Columbia and Rachael Mae Spurling of Mannsville.

Also a brother: Carl Michael Cox of Campbellsville; a sister: Kathy Jean Pelly and husband Terry of Knifley; a half-sister: Cassie Brady of Lebanon; two grandchildren: Emily Grace and Bonnie Sue Spurling and a host of nieces, nephews including Ethan Pelly and Amanda Celis and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Douglas Edward “Doug” Cox will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bro. Troy Grider and Bro. Matthew Lawhorn will be officiating.

Visitation on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M.

Doris Judd, 76

Mrs. Doris Kay Judd of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at her home. Born on July 27, 1947 in Green County to the late Will Andy and Gertrude Katherine (Vaughn) Druin, she was 74 years, 7 months, and 7 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Summersville Baptist Church. Mrs. Judd was a graduate of Campbellsville College, where she had earned an associate’s degree in business. She was a former seamstress, sold Avon products over 45 years, and was an account manager for US Airways. Mrs. Judd was a mother and grandmother first, though, always leading by example, whether it be how to love, how to pray, or when to play a prank – and she was usually the best at all three.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Three children: Rebecca Kaye Williams and husband Bob of Campbellsville, Terri Marie Loutfi of Campbellsville, and John Nicholas Hall and wife Leslie of Greensburg,

A sister: Marietta Jeffries of Bedford, Indiana,

A sister-in-law: Mildred Druin of Campbellsville,

Eight grandchildren: Laura Williams, Miranda Wiggins and husband Lane, Stephanie Shelton and husband Jerry, Michael Scott, Natalie Smith and husband Dwight, Abby Sarmiento, Nalan Atkinson, and Jasmine Oller,

A close friend: Marcia Winn,

Eleven great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family members and friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Othel Nelson “Double Dry” Judd, and three siblings, Fredrick Vaughn, Silvia Cave, and Noel Barkley Druin.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Judd on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Green County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 10, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST (4:00-7:00 PM CST).

Carol “Possum” Harris, 45

Carl “Possum” Harris, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Orvey Carl Harris, Jr and Betty (Keith) Harris, was born June 5, 1976 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 45 years of age.

He was an employee of Cox Interiors and was of the Baptist Faith.

Possum enjoyed fishing, hunting, and teaching others to hunt and fish; he loved coin collecting and spending time with his grandson and his dog Dottie Mae.

He is survived by his wife: Maranda (Miles) Harris; a daughter: Bethany Harris and companion Sean Mullins and a son: Dakota Harris all of Campbellsville.

Other survivors include a brother: James Harris and wife Stephanie of Lebanon; two sisters: Carla Garrett and husband Chris and Betsy Thompson and husband Doug of Mt. Sherman; a grandson: Kade Mullins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Carl “Possum” Harris will be Wednesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
