Ralph Edward Barnett of Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Campbellsville, the son of the late Edward “Bear” Barnett and Geneva Peters Barnett was born on March 17, 1955, in Campbellsville, KY, and passed away on December19, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was 69 years of age.
He was a cattle farmer, and enjoyed westerns, had a good sense of humor, and enjoyed spending time with his grandson.
He is survived by one daughter: Haley Barnett Bhanini and her husband Elias of Russell Springs, Two grandchildren: Kairo Bhanini, and Palmer Bhanini, One sister: Shirley Bright and companion Les Akridge of Campbellsville, and three nephews: Jared Bright, Jason Farmer, and Chris Farmer.
Besides his parents, He was preceded in death by one sister: Donna Farmer.
The funeral service for Ralph Edward Barnett will be Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. EST / 1:00 P.M. CST. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

The family has requested visitation on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 5:00 – 8:00 EST / 4:00 – 7:00 CST at the funeral home, and again on Sunday at 10 A.M. EST/ 9:00 CST until the time of the service.

Mrs. Essie Pearl Buchanan of Willisburg was born on June 5, 1941 in Washington County to the late Taylor and Pearlie Thompson. She departed this life on Friday, December 13, 2024 at her home being 82 years of age.
Mrs. Buchanan professed her faith in Christ and was a charter member of the Anchor of Hope Church in Willisburg. She retired from Walmart after fifteen years, where she loved working as a door greeter.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
Two children: Ricky Chesser and Angie Young, both of Willisburg,
Five grandchildren: Jason Chesser of Lawrenceburg, Gina Spalding. Derek Young, Brent Young, all of Willisburg, and Dylan Mattingly of Indiana,
Seven great-grandchildren: Dalton Chesser, Jacie Chesser, Jaylee Chesser, Jason Chesser, Jr., Ty Mattingly, Zac Spaulding, and Eli Blandford,
And a host of other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death a son, Tony Chesser; six sisters: Aline Pierson, Ann Lou Buchanan, Olie Chesser, Elsie Thompson, Hazel Thompson, and Ada Thompson; and nine brothers: Ernest Thompson, Herman Thompson, Raymond Thompson, Jody Ray Thompson, James W. Thompson, Charles Thompson, Vernest Thompson, William Thompson, and baby Thompson.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Buchanan on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Anchor of Hope Church, 9190 KY 555, Willisburg. Rev. Brandi Cheatham will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Willisburg.
The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, Dec. 19, after 4:00 PM and on Friday, Dec. 20, after 9:00 AM.

Mrs. Diane Ritchie Amburgey of Shepherdsville, formerly of Campbellsville, passed from this life on Sunday, December 15, 2024, in Louisville at the Norton Audubon Hospital, being 65 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Kanowan “Cager” Ritchie and Margie Everidge Ritchie, and was born in Hindman on April 29, 1959. Mrs. Amburgey was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She was the cherished wife of Mr. William Garrett “Johnny” Amburgey. He preceded her in death on October 2023. She was also preceded in death by three siblings, Kelvin Ritchie, Alger Ritchie, and Kathy Leslie.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
Two sons: James Everett Amburgey and wife Ashley, and Johnny Wayne Amburgey, all of Shepherdsville,
A grandson: Donovan Everett Amburgey,
A sister: Janie Ritchie of Campbellsville,
And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Amburgey on Friday, December 20, 2024, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville. Bro. Robby Everidge will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery immediately following.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 20, after 9:30 AM until time for the service.

Kimberly Ann Hunt of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Edward Shirley Smith and Mary Blan Aldridge Smith was born on October 10, 1961, in Louisville, KY, and departed this life on Friday, December 13, 2024, in Bardstown. She was 63 years of age.
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. She had been employed in jewelry sales and repair. She enjoyed gardening, and cooking, was a talented artist, especially at drawing, and loved decorating.
She is survived by her three children: Joshua Edward Warren, and James Coleman Warren (Tabitha Speairs) both of Bardstown, and Anna Grace Hunt of Campbellsville. Three grandchildren: Isaiah Warren, Coleman Warren Jr., and Averianna Warren. One sister: Cheryl Lynn Akrami (Ramin) of Louisville. Also surviving is her former spouse: James Kent Warren of Bardstown.
The family has chosen cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mary Helen Sprowles of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late Willard Allen and Emma Skaggs Allen was born on August 20, 1937 and departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at her residence. She was 87 years of age.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was retired from Fruit of The Loom after 42 years and was a homemaker and worked at Medco Nursing Home for 10 years. She enjoyed shopping, flowers, and feeding the squirrels. She was very friendly and enjoyed good conversations, and spending time with her great-grandbabies
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Sprowles, of Campbellsville, and two daughters, Diane Mardis of Campbellsville and Retha Sprowles Baumle of Louisville. Two grandsons, Brandon Mardis and Kyle Mardis, one great-granddaughter, Makayla Mardis, and two great-great-grandchildren, Axton New and Alec Mardis, and her granddog, Tazzie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Alan Wayne Sprowles
There will be a Private Funeral Service for Mary Helen Sprowles at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. Dwayne Norman will officiate.
