Betty Faye Parker, 76

Mrs. Betty Faye Parker, daughter of the late Brack and Mary Bell (Caffee) Grant, was born in Adair County, Kentucky on October 23, 1944. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Presbyterian Homes in Louisville, being 76 years, 4 months, and 14 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Mt. Zion Church of God. Mrs. Parker retired from Fruit of the Loom after 40 years of service, and later began a career as an associate at WalMart.

On January 11, 1963, she united in marriage to Mr. Glennis Allen Parker. To this union was born a son, Timothy Parker. Mr. and Mrs. Parker remained a devoted couple over 53 years, separated only by Mr. Parker’s passing on September 28, 2016.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Parker was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Willis Warren and Gladys Bright.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her son: Tim Parker and wife Jill of Louisville,

Two granddaughters: Sarah Parker and Hannah Parker, both of Louisville,

Two sisters: Geneva Roution of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Esther Cox of Campbellsville,

And a host of extended family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Parker on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Clay Wheeler will be officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Green River Memorial Cemetery following the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 12, after 1:00 PM until time for the service.

Donnie L. Wood, 82

Mr. Donnie L. Wood of Campbellsville was born on July 20, 1938 to the late Evan and Tressie (Childers) Wood. He departed this life on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 82 years, 7 months, and 17 days of age.

Mr. Wood was a retired mechanic and an avid NASCAR fan, and always pulled for the Ford drivers. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, camping, and hunting and fishing with his family.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Louise (Hughes) Wood, on November 30, 2015. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, Eula Mae Nunn and Bobby Wood.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Two children: Keith Wood and wife Beth of Lawrenceburg, and Shelia Wethington and husband John B. of Campbellsville,

Two grandchildren: Mason Wethington and wife D.J. of Glasgow, and Brenna Wethington of Campbellsville,

A close friend: Diane Walters of Campbellsville,

And a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends for a walk-through visitation on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 12:00-2:00 PM at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY.

Mr. Wood will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery following a private funeral service.

Donald Estrella, 66

Donald Manny Estrella, the son of the late Antone M. and Mary C. (Fernandez) Estrella, was born February 6, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey and departed this life on March 3, 2021 at his home in Campbellsville, KY. He was 66 years of age.

He enjoyed watching and playing baseball and he was of the Catholic Faith.

He is survived by A sister: Janet Estrella of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Kathleen Sylvester of Coral Springs, Florida and locally by a niece: Renee Sylvester of Knifley, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters: George Estrella, Tony Estrella, Carol Sylvester, Margaret Schmid, Dorothy Furtado and Lucille Estrella.

Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Barbara Christie, 77

Barbara Lee Christie of Elk Horn, the daughter of the late Ray and Gertrude (Hill) Huffman, was born March 4, 1943 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania and departed this life on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Louisville at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital. She was 77 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Dunbar Hill Community Church and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed going to church and listening to music.
Barbara is survived by her husband: Gary Christie of Elk Horn; a son: Steven Christie of Campbellsville and a chosen son and daughter and was her caretaker: Bro. Darrell and Diane Tucker of Elk Horn.
Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters: Eddie Fosnaugh and wife Tina, Virginia Leslie and husband James and Patty Walker all of Ohio; Denny Stear and wife Kate and Arthur Stear, Jr, all of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren: Chyanne and Jaylin Christie and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Barbara Lee Christie will be Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. EST (1:00 P.M CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

Floyd Edward Jump, 88

Floyd Edward Jump, the son of the late Edward and Betty (DeGrandchamp) Jump, was born December 21, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan and departed this life on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Elizabethtown at the Baptist Health Hardin. He was 88 years of age. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Navy.

He was a farmer and former school bus driver for the Elizabethtown Independent School System and was a member of the American Legion Post #82 in Campbellsville.

He united in marriage to Wilma E. Sprowles, who preceded him in death July 10, 2008.

He is survived by two sons: Jim Hensley and wife Brenda of Hodgenville and Joseph Curry and wife Tamarra of White City; six grandchildren: Skyler Heirs, Azrielle Curry, Damron Lei-Sam, Jacob Borders, Jaeden Curry and Charlie Hensley; two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Floyd Edward Jump will be Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Zion Cemetery in the Sandy Y Community of Taylor County with Bro. Freddy Thompson officiating.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

To honor Floyd’s request, there will be no visitation prior to the service.
