Regina Hoots, 81

Sis. Regina Ruth Hoots, daughter of the late James Gordon and Mattie Lee (Pierce) Coomer, was born in Adair County on October 8, 1939. She departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2021 in Somerset, being 81 years, 4 months, and 11 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Truth Tabernacle UPCI in Campbellsville and the First Apostolic Church in Somerset. She earned her living as a seamstress, and retired from Fruit of the Loom. Her solid faith in God made her an anchor for her family, and her Biblical wisdom a trusted confidant for all.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Four children: Charlotte Mouser of Campbellsville, Kathy Crabtree of Monticello, Steve Hoots and wife Lois of Gallatin, TN, and Jeff Hoots and wife Jenny of Somerset,

Three siblings: Velma Atwood and husband Gene, Robert Coomer and wife Betty, and Corrine Dobson and husband Howard, all of Campbellsville,

Fifteen grandchildren: Michael Robertson, Stephanie LeRoy, Julia LeRoy, D.J. Mouser, Mandy Mouser, Hillary Mouser, Pamela Shepherd, Jonathan Crabtree, Christopher Fain, Stacey Lewis, William Fain, Bethany Ezell, Chelsea Bohl, Chyenne Hoots, and Hunter Lindsay,

Sixteen great-grandchildren,

Two great-great grandchildren,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Geraldine McGinnis and Mildred McGinnis.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Sis. Hoots on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Truth Tabernacle UPCI, 4607 Old Lebanon Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery. Bro. Raymond Clark and Bro. Joe Cox will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, Feb. 21, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Hilda Hall, 53

Mrs. Hilda Anna Mae Hall of Lebanon was born on August 31, 1967 to Hilda Mae (Gunter) Perkins and the late Arnold B. Abell. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was a long-time employee of Captain D’s in Lebanon and was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Hall cherished her role as a grandmother, and will long be remembered as a compassionate and caring lady.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Three children: Pamela Michelle Hall and companion Bobby Hutchison, Richard Hall, Jr., and Jessica Lynn Hall, all of Lebanon,

Two half-siblings: Carolyn Smothers of Campbellsville, and Raymond Perkins, Jr. of Bradfordsville,

Ten grandchildren,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hall on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Cremation will be accorded her after the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 22, from 10:30 AM until time for the service.

Clyde Everett Pruitt, 72

Clyde Everett Pruitt of Campbellsville, the son of the late Ervin and Bertha (Sanders) Pruitt, was born April 2, 1948 in Larue County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, February 14, 2021 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 72 years of age.

He had made a profession of Faith in Christ and was a former pastor in the Baptist Church.

He was a Veteran, having served in the United States Army.

He was a retired special education teacher in the Nelson, Hart and Marion County school district.

He enjoyed traveling, camping and a full-time RV fanatic.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers: Betty Pierce, Jerry Wayne Pruitt and one as an infant.

Survivors include his wife: Rebecca ‘Becky” (Morgan) Pruitt; a daughter: Robin Marrs and husband Greg and one granddaughter: Sarah Marrs all of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Clyde Everett Pruitt will be conducted Monday, February 22, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. at the Lebanon National Cemetery. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home parking lot at approx 1:45 P.M.

Family requests visitation on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 4-7 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

There will be no visitation on Monday.

Memorials are suggested to the Crusade for Children, which can be made at the funeral home.

John “Jr” Stearman, 86

John “Junior” Stearman, of Greensburg, the son of the late John and Elsie (Darnell) Stearman, was born April 24, 1934 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in Louisville at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. He was 86 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church and South Greensburg Baptist Church. He was a former automobile body repairman for Goff Motors in Greensburg.

He united in marriage to Creacy Jane (Howard) Stearman, who preceded him in death.

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Tom and Vernon Stearman.

He is survived a daughter and son: Janie Cox and husband Barry of Campbellsville and Steve Stearman and wife Janet of Greenburg; two brothers: Paul Stearman and wife Nanette of Henderson and Raymond Stearman of Lebanon; four grandchildren: Shae Jones, Carlee Milby, Brandon Dudgeon and Dakota Smith; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Darnell Cemetery in Green County.

Margaret Murphy, 80

Margaret Faye Murphy of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (White) Waggner, was born October 22, 2021 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 in Liberty at the Casey County Hospital. She was 80 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene where she was a former youth leader.

She was retired from Westlake Primary Care in Columbia and was the former owner of M&M Ceramics.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Murphy, a brother: Charles Waggner and a sister: Alien Chelf.

She is survived by a daughter: Marsha Silas of Campbellsville; a sister: Nellie Cox of Elk Horn ; a brother: Louis Waggner of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Jonathan Silas and Christopher Silas; a great-grandchild: Madison Silas and a host of other relatives and friends.

A public graveside service for Margaret Fay Murphy will be conducted Friday, February 12, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at the Elk Horn Cemetery on Elk Horn Loop off Hwy 76 in Taylor County. Rev. David Young will be officiating.

There will be no visitation prior to the service.
