Kimberly K. Lawson, 54

Mrs. Kimberly Kay Lawson of Campbellsville was born in Taylor County on December 21, 1965 to the late “Hambone” and Shirley (Wade) Blankenship. She departed this life on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the University of Louisville Hospital after an extended illness. She was 54 years, 11 months, and 14 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle. Mrs. Lawson was a long-time car saleslady, and was well-known and respected throughout the community.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her husband: Roy Dale Lawson of Campbellsville,

Three children: Zachary Dale Lawson of Butler, Conner Reed Lawson of Campbellsville, and Kaitlyn Rose Lawson of Campbellsville,

Three siblings: Leanne Blankenship of Campbellsville, Anthony Blankenship of Campbellsville, and Melissa Blankenship of Crittenden County,

An aunt: Anne Sutty of Campbellsville,

And several other family members and friends.

Mrs. Lawson chose cremation and a private interment service will be conducted at a later date.

Martha Book, 67

Mrs. Martha M. Book of the Sparksville Community of Adair County was born on March 10, 1953 to the late Sam and Edna (Fausnight) Knight. She departed this life on Friday, December 4, 2020 at her home, being 67 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Sparksville Nazarene Church. Mrs. Book was a retired secretary and the devoted wife of Mr. Dave Book, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. She was a loving and gentle lady, and cherished her family dearly. She loved being Nana to her grandchildren. Her empathic heart, genuine smile, and contagious laughter left a positive footprint in this world, and will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to carry her legacy:

Her husband: Dave Book,

Two daughters: Angie Savanick and husband Ben of Pennsylvania, and Laurie Yliniemi of Minnesota,

Four sisters: Ruth Hamm and husband Vince of Pennsylvania, and Lavonne Overholt and husband Will, Marlene Miller and husband Gaylerd, and Glenna Knight, all of Missouri,

Four beloved grandchildren: Lexi, Makenna, Caeden, and Lane Yliniemi,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

There will be a private funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Book at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. Bro. Robert Adkins will be officiating.

Lisa Bailey, 58

Mrs. Lisa Kathrine (Priddy) Bailey was born in Bowling Green on August 16, 1962. She departed this life on Monday, November 30, 2020, being 58 years, 3 months, and 14 day of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Bailey enjoyed life, especially when she was able to spend cherished time with her grandson. Her crocheted pieces will be cherished for years.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Two children: Donald Richard Priddy and companion Jessie Nunez of Campbellsville, and James Matthew Bailey of North Carolina,

Her father: Hugh Edward Priddy of Oregon,

Her mother: Rita Ann Dempsey of Florida,

Her grandson: Michael Richard Priddy,

A sister: Diane Blanch Durfee of Crystal Springs, Florida,

A brother: Donald Edward Priddy and wife Cindy of Georgia,

One sister: Diane Blanch Durfee of Florida,

And a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Bailey had chosen cremation. All services were held privately.

Margaret Cross, 92

Mrs. Margaret Jo Cross, the daughter of Cloyd and Daisy Amelia (Jones) Martin, was born September 30, 1928 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Greensburg at the Green Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. She was 92 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was the manager of the Merchant Hotel in Campbellsville in the early 1960’s, and was a caregiver for the elderly for many years.

Margaret enjoyed cooking and sewing, and was a talented pianist.

She united in marriage to Shelby Davis and they remained a devoted couple until his death in 1959. She later united in marriage to Rev. Kermit Neal, who preceded her in death, then united in marriage to James Cross, who also preceded her in death.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by a daughter: Deborah Jean Davis; a brother: Melvin Douglas Martin; a sister: Betty Sprowles; and a step-daughter: Brenda Bowers.

Survivors include a son: Donald Ray Davis and wife Sharon of New Mexico; a sister: Naomi C. Paxton of Campbellsville; a grandson: Bradley Ray Davis of Colorado, and step-children: Belva, Lawrence, Anita, Bonita, Bryan David, Rick, and Danny.

Mrs. Cross will be laid to rest beside Mr. Shelby Davis in the Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery following a private interment service.

Margaret Harris Bartman, 76

Mrs. Margaret (Harris) Bartman of Campbellsville was born in Louisville on August 20, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Charles Mayford and Ruby (Young) Harris. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center, being 76 years, 3 months, and 11 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. On April 29, 1966, she would marry her beloved, Mr. John Richard Bartman, II. They moved to Campbellsville in 1968, where they remained a devoted couple until Mr. Bartman’s death on September 6, 2015. Mrs. Bartman retired from Coppock’s Appliance Store in 2015 after a 35 year career as the in-house bookkeeper. She was a proud mother and a cherished wife, and was an excellent homemaker.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garland Wilson Harris and Kenneth Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two daughters: Heather Brianna Bartman, and Elizabeth Young Bartman and companion Stephen Antle, all of Campbellsville,

Three grandchildren: Larry Dean Roby, II, John Claude Roby, and Raechel Elizabeth Bartman,

One great-grandson: Gunner Roby,

A special friend: Angela Gramer,

And a host of other family and friends.

Mrs. Bartman will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Brookside Cemetery.

All services will be conducted privately.
