 Mr. Christopher Allen Van Fossen of Columbia was born in Visalia, California on October 7, 1962. He departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2020 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 57 years, 3 months, and 20 days of age. He was a former Correctional Peace Officer, a believer in Christ, and a cherished husband, father, and grandfather. His love and patience with troubled children helped countless young people improve their lives. He especially enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and an extremely knowledgeable beekeeper.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
His wife: Mrs. Sandra (Buck) Van Fossen of Columbia,
His mother: Mrs. June (Bauer) Vollmer of California,
Seven children: Benjamin Van Fossen of Maryland, Jessmyne Rodriguez of California, Victoria Van Fossen and husband Devante of California, Wendy Krauth of Bardstown, Jeremy Savicki of California, Lori Beadle and husband Glen of California, and Eric Savicki of California,
Two sisters: Kimberly Bender and husband Richard, and April Alvarez, all of California,
Seven grandchildren: Serenity, Neveah, Melody, Dante, Saria, Sybrina, and Raelynn,
One great-grandchild: Trenton,
And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his father: Mr. Larry Van Fossen; and a grandson: Dylan.
Mr. Van Fossen had requested that his body be cremated. Those arrangements were entrusted to the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville. There was no public visitation.

 Mrs. Leola (Reynolds) Rucker of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lee and Gertrude (Caulk) Reynolds, was born in Finley on June 2, 1929. She departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Greensburg at the Green Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, being 90 years, 6 months, and 27 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she especially enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Rucker was a testament of personal strength, and a 42 year breast cancer survivor. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom, a cherished mother and grandmother, and a devoted homemaker to Mr. G.L. Rucker, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1993.
She is survived by:
A daughter and son-in-law: Lorrie and David Spachman of Greensburg,
Two sisters: Eula Durham and Shirley Kennon, both of Campbellsville,
A brother: Bob Reynolds and wife Rita of Columbia,
Two grandchildren: Joshua Spachman and wife Stephanie of Hodgenville, and Christopher Spachman of Bowling Green,
And a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Parnell Reynolds, and a sister, Aileen Lyon.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Rucker on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 6380 Old Lebanon Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Dr. James Jones and Bro. Dennis Santos will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, January 27, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

 Jordan Wayne Coppage, the son of Tim Coppage and Leslie (Parrott) Gaines, both of Campbellsville, was born on June 25, 1986 in Campbellsville and departed this life in on Friday, January 10, 2020 at his home in Campbellsville. He was 33 years of age.
He was of the Baptist Faith and was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served his country honorably in Iraq.
Jordan enjoyed his family and friends and helping his dad train dogs and loved sports, especially the U of L Cardinals.
He is survived by his parents: Tim Coppage and wife Traci and Leslie Gaines and husband Lee all of Campbellsville; his children: Nigel, Kayala and McKinley; his brother: Jerrett Coppage and wife Andrea of Campbellsville; his step-siblings: Brittany Ebetino and Matthew Gibson both of Indiana, Cheyenne Milby of Lebanon, Ashton Chelf, Scotty Chelf and Cory Williams all of Campbellsville, Jennifer Gaines of Lexington, Marcia Gaines, Angela Gail Gaines and Autumn Carol Gaines all of Lebanon; his grandparents: Lanny and Sue Parrott of Campbellsville; his companion: Cassandra Harriss and his former wife: Haydee Coppage and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Wayne and Phyllis Coppage.
The funeral service for Jordan Wayne Coppage will be conducted Monday, January 27, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation after 8:30 A.M. on Monday until time for service.

 Lou Bell (York) Dyer Veatch, the daughter of the late Elmer and Iva (Morrison) York, was born January 16, 1938 in Cumberland County, KY and departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2020 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 82 years of age.
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom having worked for over 34 years and retired from Taylor Regional Hospital after 20 year of service and was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by a daughter: Patricia Dyer Bell and companion John Pelcher II of Campbellsville; a sister: Betty Jo Wheatley and husband Henry of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Jeffrey Dyer and wife Stephanie and John Pelcher III of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren: Braydan and Wayne Dyer; two step-great grandchildren: Thomas and Benjamin McMahan; a special niece: Shannon Taylor of Campbellsville, special great-niece: Madison Ferrie of Campbellsville and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Donell, Odell, Roy and Jerry York.
The funeral service for Lou Belle Veatch will be conducted Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Ronnie Dooley will be officiating.
Family requests visitation of Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Timmy, Greg, Terry, Stacy, Jeffrey, Stevie and Donnie York and Kyle Coffey.

 Thomas Alfred ‘Tommy” Carter of Hodgenville, the son of the late Sidney L. and Lura Ethel (Atwell) Carter was born July 21, 1940 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, in Elizabethtown at the Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab.
He was 79 years of age.
He was a farmer and was of the Baptist Faith.
He enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats and when his health allowed him, he liked hunting, fishing, dancing and long walks with his wife and listening to gospel and country music.
He is survived by his wife: Mary “Joanie” (Vires) Carter of Hodgenville; three step-children: Troy Heady of Hodgenville, Angie Clough and husband Marty of Paris, KY and Jessica Ramirez of Monticello; his brothers and sister: James Carter and wife Nancy, Freddy Carter and Robert Peace all of Hodgenville, James Peace, Jr and wife Darlene of Elizabethtown and Shirley Warren and husband Mitchell of Louisville; four step-grandchildren, two step- great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters: Hugh Carter, Janet Martin Edwards, Jerry W. Peace, Betty Page and three as infants and one deceased step grandchild.
The funeral service for Tommy Carter will be Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Old Mt. Sherman Cemetery in Mt. Sherman.
Visitation after 10 AM on Saturday until time for the service.
