Helen Marie Loy, 90

Helen Marie Loy, the daughter of the late Demar and Callie Burress Mings, was born Tuesday, January 24, 1929 in Taylor County and departed this life on Sunday, February 24, 2019 in Harrodsburg at the James B. Haggin Hospital. She was 90 years, 1 month and 10 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Stoner Creek United Methodist Church and was a homemaker and worked with her husband on the farm. She enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting.
She united in marriage to Carl Loy, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2018.
Survivors include a daughter: Sheila Hollon and husband David of Campbellsville; a grandson: Anthony Hollon and companion Tonya Mann of Campbellsville and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Helen Marie Loy will be conducted Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Callahan Cemetery.

Don Waymon, 59

Mr. Don Lewis Waymon was born on February 21, 1959 in Campbellsville to Ola Mae (Miller) and the late Charles Odell Waymon. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the Taylor Regional Hospital, being 59 years, 11 months, and 30 days of age. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green River Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Waymon retired from the Campbellsville Industries and had worked for Graybeal Aluminum over 25 years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and enjoyed challenging his mind through puzzles and artistic coloring.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife Mrs. Joyce (Judd) Waymon,

His mother: Mrs. Ola Mae Waymon of Campbellsville,

One son: Charles Lewis Waymon and fiancé Ashley Edwards of Campbellsville,

One grandson: Cameron Edwards,

And a host of other family and friends.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Larry Waymon.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Waymon on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Bro. Jamie Bennett and Bro. Don Gowin will be officiating.

Mr. Waymon requested cremation, and those wishes will be accorded him after the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Feb 22, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Ella Arlene Sullivan, 63

Mrs Ella Arlene Sullivan of Campbellsville passed from this life on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her home. Born on February 17, 1956 to the late Hobart and Pearl (Sharp) Eaton, she was 63 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith, and was a retired nurse.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
A daughter: Beth Profitt and husband Jacob of Corbin,
Twelve siblings: Dewey Taylor, Johnnie Eaton, Cora Flynn, Steve Sullivan, Eb Sullivan, Virgina Sullivan, Mayme Robinson, Glenda Hammonds, Carolyn Marcum, Marilyn Sullivan, Ralph Eaton, and Ruth Bigelow,
A grandchild: Harley Profitt,
A former spouse and friend: Daniel Mansfield,
And a host of other family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Eddie Vincent.
Mrs. Sullivan chose to be cremated.
All services were held privately.

Lorraine Shirley, 67

Mrs. Lorraine Constance “Lorie” Shirley of Campbellsville passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her home. Born on May 26, 1951 to the late Theran and Virgina (Hadley) Gilbert, she was 67 years, 8 months, and 24 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. Always independent, she had worked several jobs to support herself and her family, but was recently quoted as being “happily retired”. Her big heart overcame her allergies, and she adored her cat.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Three children: Dennis Baker of New York, Connie Brady and companion Jacob Tipton of Tompkinsville, and Michael Watson and companion Devon McCormick of Glasgow,

A brother: Kerry Gilbert of Virginia,

A grandchild: Alexis Tipton,

Special friends Shirley and Cliff Sturtivan,

Her precious kitty, Callie,

And a host of other family a friends.

She was also preceded in death by four siblings, Darlene Gilbert, James Gilbert, Corliss Gilbert, and Cynthia Rand.

Mrs. Shirley chose to be cremated.

Marjorie Nadean Antle, 86

Mrs. Marjorie Nadean Antle of Campbellsville was born on November 10, 1932 in Taylor County to the late Lewis Nathan “Doc” and Eliza Ethel (Ford) Barnett. She died Friday, February 15, 2019 at 1:20 AM at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness, being 86 years, 3 months, and 5 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Elkhorn Baptist Church. As a young lady, she met and fell in love with Mr. Don Antle, and they married on April 25, 1953. They would share their love until his death in 2018. Mrs. Antle was a former cafeteria manager in the Campbellsville Independent School System, and enjoyed quilting and raising a garden. She was the matriarch of a close-knit and well-respected family, and her devotion to her grandchildren was paramount.

She leaves to mourn her passing:

Two daughters: Donna Antle of Campbellsville, and Jeanean Malone and husband Larry of Buffalo,

Four grandchildren: Andrea Lawhorn and husband Phil, Adam Dobson and wife Rachael, Andrew Dobson and companion Maranda Quinn, and Austin Malone,

Six great-grandchildren: Chase Lawless, Brianna Dobson, Cayton Lawhorn, Aubri Dobson, Addyson Dobson, and Mason Baldwin-Schiess,

A brother-in-law: Charles Sprowles of Fairdale,

All her friends at Campbellsville Nursing,

And a host of other family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by six siblings: Alvin Barnett, Willis Barnett, Howard Barnett, Leslie Barnett, Hazel Wright, and Barbara Sprowles.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Antle on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home. Dr. Brian Rafferty, Bro. Eddie Finn, and Rev. Haywood Riner will be officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, Feb. 18, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
