Bennie “Foot” Curry, 76

Bennie, “Foot” Curry, the son of the late Claudie and Lola B Pierce Curry, was born, Thursday, May 1, 1941 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Campbellsville at his residence.

He was 76 years, 5 months and 24 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pitman Valley Baptist Church. He was a former car salesman for over 25 years and later a salesman at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bennie enjoyed talking on the CB radio acquiring the name “Big Foot” as his CB handle. He always enjoyed talking to people with a sense of humor and laughing and telling of good jokes.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Kim Curry.

Survivors include his wife: Donna Agee Curry of Campbellsville; a daughter: Rita Stocksdale and husband Skip of Indiana; three sons: Terry Curry of Columbia, James Dean Curry and wife Carlene and David Curry and wife Loretta, all of Somerset; a sister-in-law: Gatha Williams and husband Billy of Russell Springs.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Bridget, Brandon, Jasper, Jacob, Jared, Kristen, Chad, Candace, Michael and Jason; 16 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Bennie “Foot” Curry will be conducted Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Entombment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Bro. Dannie Nelson and Bro. Ronnie Dooley will be officiating.

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the donation of Gideon Bibles, which can be made at the funeral home.

Marjorie Hunt, 81

Marjorie Hunt, the daughter of the late Omer and Flossie Bohanon, was born Sunday, February 2, 1936 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in Springfield at the Springfield Nursing and Rehab. She was 81 years, 8 months and 20 days of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a retired retail sales clerk. Marjorie enjoyed reading, puzzle books, her flower garden, knitting , UK Basketball fan and her collection of ceramic frogs that she used as yard decorations and in her flower beds.
She united in marriage to N.T. “Tommy” Hunt, who preceded her in death along with one brother: Garlan Bohanon.
Survivors include her children: Pam Bright and Gary Hunt and wife Marlena all of Campbellsville and Kevin Hunt and wife Christy of Burkesville; a sister: Mae Parker of Monticello; two brothers: Robert Bohanon and wife Sue and Harlan Bohanon and wife Helen, all of Campbellsville.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Jason (Robin) Bright, Tammy (Les) Richards, Chrissy (Shawn) Canada, Michael (Laura) Hunt, Cheryl (Kevin) Mings, Rita (Chris) Thompson, Jeremy (Alyssa) Hunt, Katelyn (J.T.) Pruitt, Wesley Hunt and Carly Hunt and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Marjorie Hunt, will be conducted Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Bro. Don Gowin and Bro. Drew Underwood will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Shannon Ray Brown, 42

Shannon Ray Brown, of Mt. Sherman, KY, the son of Ray Brown and Lou Ann Skaggs Brown, was born, March 11, 1975in Louisville, and departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in Whiteland, Indiana. He was 42 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Buffalo Church of the Nazarene. He was a truck driver for Shofner Enterprises in Campbellsville. He loved to work on vehicles, ATV’s, and motorcycles as well as ride them and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his father: Ray Brown and his wife: Rose of Mt. Washington; his mother: Lou Ann Zirnheld and husband David of Mt. Washington; his children: Alice McGuffin of California, Devon Bates of Elizabethtown, Vera Brown, Vivian Brown and Dalton Brown, all of Campbellsville; two brothers: Brandon Brown and wife Jessica and Nicholas Brown, all of Mt. Washington; a step-brother: Jason Zirnheld and wife Lisa of Louisville; his grandmother: Juanita Skaggs of Mt. Sherman.
Also two grandchildren: Preston Lee Milby and Mayzie Mae Milby; two nephews: Laken Brown & Addison Zirnheld; a niece: Lily Zirnheld and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Shannon Ray Brown will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Barbara Mills, 77

Mrs. Barbara (Chapman) Mills of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness. Daughter of the late Raymond and Ruby (Absher) Chapman, she was 77 years, 3 months, and 11 days of age. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Meadowview Baptist Church. Always a lady, she enjoyed raising flowers and gardening, and loved to care and cook for others. She was a homemaker to, and the cherished wife of, Mr. Harold Mills, who survives.

Besides her husband, she leaves to carry her legacy:

Three sons: Jeff Mills and wife Sharon, Terry Mills and wife Pam, and Tim Mills and wife Angie, all of Campbellsville,

Nin grandchildren: Jonathan Mills and wife Whitney, Courtney Mills, Alex Thomas, Whitney Pyles, Timmy Mills, Jamie Mills, Nathaniel Mills, Dusty Long and wife Nikki, and Elliot Long and wife Ashley,

Seven great-grandchildren,

And a host of extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kendra Mills, and a brother, Billy Joe Chapman.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Mills on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Entombment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 3878 Old Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Haywood Riner and Bro. Robert Morris will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 19, from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Eugene Ray Gray, 77

Mr. Eugene Ray Gray, age 77, of Campbellsville, died on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Lexington at the UK Medical Center. Eugene was born February 9, 1940 to the late Joe and Helen (Watson) Gray. He professed faith in Christ and attended Elkhorn Baptist Church. Eugene worked for a furniture company and later opened South Campbellsville Wood Shop, where he made reproduction cherry furniture and enjoyed fishing and was especially fond of spending time with his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Gray and Joe Gray, Jr.
He is survived by:
His wife: Wanda (Lawson) Gray,
A daughter: Jennifer Bell and husband Robbie of Campbellsville,
A son: Timothy Partridge and wife Kaye of Florida,
Eight grandchildren: Ryan Tungate, Jenna Tungate and Kayden Bell, all of Campbellsville, Anthony Bell of Lebanon, Robbie Bell, Jr. and LaDenna Bell, both of Russell Springs, Brandon Partridge and wife Cayla, and Brandi Trimble and husband Kyle of Florida,
Three great-grandchildren: Jayden and Lane of Russell Springs, and Ava of Florida,
One sister: Betty Cox of Florida,
His mother-in-law: Laura Lawson of Campbellsville, a sister-in-law: Ruth Gray of Campbellsville, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Gray on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM EST (10:00 AM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, Ky. Bro. Haywood Riner will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, W. Main St, Campbellsville, KY.
