Rachel Brown, 84
Rachel Brown, 84, died at Taylor Regional Hospital Saturday, October 29, 2016 after a long battle with liver disease. She was born March 15, 1932 in Adair County, KY to the late Arvis Hillary and Eve Lawhorn Bragg. She married the love of her life Ernest Brown on December 6, 1951.
Rachel was preceded in death by her husband on July 3, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter and her husband, Kristen Brown Sublett and Jeff Sublett in 2015. She was preceded in death by an infant sister and one brother Titus Bragg.
Rachel had made a profession of faith in Christ as a child. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for 31 years where her husband served as deacon. She joined First General Baptist Church now known as Crossroads Church in 2005.
Rachel is survived by 7 children, Raymond (Anita) Brown, Wanda (Kenny) French, Connie Kearney (Terry LaBoyteaux), Lisa Fulks (Stephfon Lancaster) all of Campbellsville. Dale (Theresa) Brown of Humboldt, TN, Barbara Brown of Elizabethtown and Bonnie Underwood of Louisville. She is survived by 13 grandchildren, Chris (fiancé Misty Jackson) Brown, David (Christina) Brown, Justin (Holly) Brown, Clint (Amy) Brown, Scott Brown, Kacy (Daniel) Pierce, Kyle French, Jordan (Jade) Kearney, Danielle Kearney, Rusty (Toccara) Underwood, Rachel (Carley) Fudge, Matthew Fulks, Travis (Sammie Jo) Fulks; 18 great-grandchildren, Cody, Kayla, Declan, Hadleigh, Noah, Maleah, Hunter, Hilary, Jemmalen, Jevin, Jorga, Gavin, Ravenna, Bryan, Xander, Belle, Faith , Lily Jo. She is also survived by one sister Mary Ann Jones.
Mrs. Rachel loved her church and her family. She loved cooking food for a church function or a family gathering. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers, baking and crafts. She also tried to make sure each new baby that was born got a grandma love quilt. She adored her grandchildren and also had a personal relationship with each one of the children and grandchildren. She is going to be so missed by her family. Memories of Mother/Daughter at Christmas time, memories of her beautiful smile and her sweet and kind nature. We love you, Mama!
Her funeral will be held Tuesday November 1, 2016 at 12:00 in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718 with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Family requests visitation on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM, and on Tuesday, November 1, from 8 AM until time for the service.

Mr. Charles David Buchanan of Willisburg was born on November 20, 1925 in Charlestown, Indiana to the late Frank David and Isaline (Rab) Buchanan. He departed this life on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Springfield Nursing and Rehab Center, being 90 years, 11 months, and 7 days of age. Mr. Buchanan professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Anchor of Hope Church in Willisburg. He was a retired meat inspector and a farmer.
Mrs. Patricia Ahmer of Marshall Ridge Rd in Green County was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 17, 1931 to the late Patrick and Rosella (O’Connell) Murphy. She departed this life on Monday, October 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 85 years, 4 months, and 7 days of age. She was a factory worker, a homemaker, and a wife to Robert Earl Ahmer, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Ahmer professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith.
Evie Faith Glover, age 10 days, the daughter of Cody Glover and Whitney Pyles both of Campbellsville, passed away on Sunday in Louisville at the Kosair Children’s Hospital.
Mrs. Beatrice Tucker Rodgers of Covington was born in Taylor County on December 4, 1937 to the late Fountain and Nellie (Childers) Tucker. She departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her home, being 78 years, 10 months, and 16 days of age. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Rodgers was a homemaker and took special pride in her role as her family’s matriarch. She was an excellent mother to both to her children and her younger siblings after her mother was called home at a young age.
