Michael Glynn “Mike” McMahan, 63

mike-mcmahan-picMr. Michael Glynn “Mike” McMahan, the son of the late Ernest and Virginia Coakley McMahan, was born April 29, 1953 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his home. He was 63 years of age.

He was a former electrician and was a Veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon.

Survivors include: two daughters: Karis McMahan and Lindsey McMahan both of Campbellsville; two brothers: Richard McMahan of Campbellsville and Steve McMahan and wife Nancy of Carrollton; a sister: Karen Eggert and husband Steve of Virginia; two grandchildren: Aidan McMahan and Dalton Reynolds and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held in the Lebanon National Cemetery with full Military Rites by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

There will be no visitation.

milby-picDonnie Royce Milby, Jr, of Campbellsville, the son of Donnie Royce Sr and Linda Lee Terry Milby, was born August 26, 1968 in Louisville and departed this life in Campbellsville.
He was a sign maker and installer for Advance Sign in Campbellsville and attended the God’s Friendship Church in Campbellsville.
Besides his parents he is survived by a son and two daughters: Donnie Milby III, Tesla Milby and Carson Gravel all of Campbellsville.
A brother: Bryant Milby of Campbellsville; two sisters: Penny Vincent of Louisville and Candy Milby of Campbellsville; his companion: Erica Blaydes Gravel of Campbellsville; three nieces: Crissy Brunson, Stacey Spencer and Bryanna Milby; two nephews: Roger Vincent, Jr and Scott Milby and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Donnie Milby, Jr will be conducted Sunday at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Bro. John Stilts officiating.

Sherry Brock Wolford, 46

sherry-wolfordMrs. Sherry Brock Wolford of Campbellsville was born in Louisville on December 7, 1970 to Gilbert Brock and the late Ruth (Blythe) Brock. She departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital after a sudden illness. She was 46 years and 16 days of age. Mrs. Wolford professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. She was a manager for Dollar Tree in Campbellsville and was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and wife.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

The family will receive friends after 4:00 PM EST with a prayer service conducted at 7:00 PM. After the prayer, the family will share memories and stories with all in attendance. Jewell Leon Thompson, 62

Mr. Jewell Leon Thompson, son of the late Fredrick Ruel “Freddy” and Dorline (Graham) Thompson, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home in Campbellsville. Born on December 26, 1953, he was 62 years, 11 months and 26 days of age. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Thompson was a truck driver until becoming disabled. He enjoyed watching old western movies, and could quote many of John Wayne’s lines.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

Richard “RD” Johnson, 88

richard-johnson-picMr. Richard “R.D.” Johnson of Taylor County, son of the late Thomas Hendricks and Edmonia Cessna (Purcell) Johnson, entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Born on December 19, 1928, he was 88 years and 4 days of age at the time of his passing. Mr. Johnson lived a simple but honest life, and was an upstanding example to the community. He was the proud husband of Mrs. Lanora (Judd) Johnson, and they shared their lives until her passing in 2014. He was a successful farmer, and enjoyed raising a garden or simply sitting on his porch watching the traffic and sharing stories with friends and family.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

One sister: Stella Thomas Morrison of Campbellsville,

Generations of nieces and nephews, including: Teresa Kibodeaux, Gary Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Josh Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Ashton Johnson, and Christy Trevillian,

A cousin and close friend: Roger Lee Beams of Taylor County,

And a host of extended family and close friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Hiestand Johnson, and a nephew Wayne Johnson.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Johnson on Monday, December 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville.
