Fontella Ann Chappel Tucker, 70

F. TuckerMrs. Fontella Ann Chappel Tucker, age 70, of Campbellsville, passed away on Sunday at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late James Murrel and Mary Katherine Reed Chappel. She was a former employee of Taylor County Hospital, where she was a CNA and a Ward Clerk for over 34 years and was a 42 year member of the East Campbellsville Church of God.

Survivors include her husband: William P. “Bill” Tucker of Campbellsville.

A daughter: Tana Sapp of Campbellsville.

Three sons: Tony Tucker and wife Lisa, Trent Tucker and wife Marlene and Trevor Tucker all of Campbellsville.

Two brothers: Harold Dean Chappel and wife Wilma of Illinois and Terry Eugene Chappel of Colorado.

A sister: Wanda Bishop of Campbellsville.

9 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Fontella Ann Chapel Tucker will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 A.M.at the East Campbellsville Church of God with burial to follow in the Chappel Cemetery at Knifley.

Bro. Robbie Spencer and Bro. Ben Spencer will be officiating.

Family requests visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Wednesday at the East Campbellsville Church of God in Campbellsville.

Memorials are suggested to the East Campbellsville Church of God.

Homer Shively Wright, 82

ShiveleyMr. Homer Shively Wright was born in Green County, KY on May 7, 1932 to the marriage of George William and Zelma Iona (Moran) Wright. He was surrounded by his family when he peacefully departed this life on April 6, 2015 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Campbellsville. He was 82 years, 10 months, and 30 days of age. He was married to Delcia Mae (Burris) Wright, who preceded him in death. Mr. Wright had a kind and loving spirit; he loved meeting new people and becoming friends. He was a natural salesman, and worked at Marcum’s Wholesale and Lebanon Wholesale most of his career. Mr. Wright was a firm believer in Christ, and was a faithful member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
One daughter: Carol Mitchell and husband Greg of Campbellsville,
Seven siblings: Fred Wright and wife Eunice, Garland Wright and wife Alyene, all of Campbellsville, Jerry Wright and wife Jeanie of Bowling Green, Peggy Montgomery and husband Eudell of Greensburg, Judy Reynolds and husband Jerald of Greensburg, Nancy Sue Newton of Illinois, and Ruby Kay Jessie and husband Wayne of Hopkins County,
One step-sister: Margarette Perkins of Louisville,
Eight grandchildren,
Eight great-grandchildren,
And a host of other close relatives and friends.
Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Wright was also preceded in death by one son, Edward H. Wright, one sister, Dorothy Elizabeth Judd, a step-brother, Jesse Peppers, and his step-mother, Lucille Sweeney Wright.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Shively Wright on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the L.R. Petty Furneal Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 at 1:00 PM EST. Bro. Shaun Caudill will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Tarters Chapel Cemetery in the Portland community of Adair County, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 9 from 5:00-8:00 PM EST, and on Friday morning until time for the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to the funeral expenses, and can be made at the funeral home.
Mr. Wright will be carried to his final resting place by his grandsons: Jeremy Wright, Jamie Wright, Jon Wright, Jason Wright, Nathan Mitchell, and Matthew Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are Tristian Wright and Maranda Cox.Logo

Odell Brim, 75

Mrs. Odell Brim of Campbellsville passed from this life on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was 75 years, 7 months, and 26 days of age. She was the daughter of the late George T. and Mary “Molly Belle” (Willham) Absher. Mrs Brim was married to James Calvin “JC” Brim, who also preceded her in death. She was a very loving and charitable person throughout her life.
At the age of thirteen, she started her first public job at the Boone’s Cave Restaurant. Later, she would work as a seamstress and caregiver. She also volunteered for C&S Missions in Campbellsville, and as a Green Thumb teachers’ aid in the Taylor County School District. She professed faith in Christ, and often attended Dunbar Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brim leaves to cherish her memory:
Seven children: James Brim, Jr. and wife Kim of Greensburg, Tilford Brim and wife Martha of Campbellsville, Ruthie Gaudinier and husband Mike of Willisburg, and Dewey Dale “Bud” Brim, Bessie Johnson and husband Mark, Dorothy Reynolds and husband Greg, and Peggy Raikes and husband Donald, all of Campbellsville,
Seven siblings: Marie Holloway, Jean Perry, Kenneth Absher, and JD Absher, all of McKinney, KY, and Essie Lainhart and Joe Absher, both of Cythiania, KY, and Marion Absher of Nicholasville,
15 grandchildren,
24 great grandchildren,
1 great-great grandchild
And a host of several other extended family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Katherine Absher and Marshall Absher.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life or Mrs. Brim at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718, on April 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Brim will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Lancaster Cemetery, 205 Crab Orchard St, Lancaster, KY 40444.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 6, from 5-8 PM.

Mrs Angela Joyce (Dickens) Pritchard, a life-long Campbellsville resident, passed from this life on March 31, 2015 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. She was 80 years, 9 months, and 23 days of age. Mrs. Pritchard was a homemaker and a beloved mother and grandmother. She had professed faith in Christ and was of the Presbyterian faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
One son: Ricky Dickens of Campbellsville,
Three daughters: Mary Caldwell, Patricia Pritchard and companion William Nugent, and Barbara Pritchard, all of Campbellsville,
Five grandchildren: Kevin Pritchard, Erika Caldwell, Michael Dickens, Matthew Dickens, and David Kearney,
Three great-grandchildren: Logan Pritchard, Katlyn Pritchard, and Aryanna Britton,
And several other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Nellie (Bottoms) Dickens, her brother, Alfred Dickens, and one grandchild, William Pritchard.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Pritchard at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 on Friday, April 3, 2015, at 4:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Brookside Cemetery, West Main St, Campbellsville, KY 42718.

Two sons: Jimmy D. Sandlin of Whitesburg and Billy K. Sandlin and wife Sandra of Tiffin, Ohio.

One sister: Annie Halcomb of Tiffin, Ohio.

One brother: Glen Taulbee of Tiffin, Ohio.

Five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mrs. Elizabeth Jean Sandlin will be conducted Monday at 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
