Mrs. Elzora Yocom of Campbellsville passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014. She was born in Brownsville, KY to the late Charlie and Nola (Blair) Gipson on January 10, 1931 and departed this life in Campbellsville at the age of 83 years. Mrs. Yocom was married to John Francis Yocom, who also preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist faith, and had spent the majority of her life working as a maid in a church home.
Mrs. Elzora Yocom is survived by:
Five children: Jerome Yocom, Bryon Yocom, Dorothea “Doddie” Wells, Clay Yocom and wife Sharon, and Dwight Yocom, all of Campbellsville,
One sister: Temple Rogers of Murray, KY,
Nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Yocom was preceded in death by six siblings: Cal Gipson, Cotton Outland, Marie Jaggers, Romie Gipson, Lawrence Gipson, and Margie Lay.
There will be a funeral service held at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718 on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 3, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Mrs. Rachel Gayle (Perkins) Cofer, of Campbellsville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at her home. She was 58 years, 1 month, and 10 days of age. She was the daughter of Mrs. Anna Margaret (Harrison) Perkins and the late Morris Glen Perkins. Although disabled, Mrs. Cofer loved being outside, especially fishing, as her health permitted. She had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cofer leaves to mourn her passing:
Two daughters: Karen Corbin of Campbellsville, and Rachel Armstrong and husband Eric, also of Campbellsville,
Her mother: Margaret (Harrison) Perkins of Campbellsville
Four grandchildren: Courtney Gayle Seals, Joseph Dylan Price, Hailey Lynn Armstrong, and Logan Eric Tyler Armstrong, all of Campbellsville
Her best friend: Kathy Rogers of Campbellsville
And a host of other family and friends
There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Cofer on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718, at 11:00 AM. Bro’s Jamie Bennett and Landon Hadley officiating.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, May 29, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to the funeral expenses, and can be made at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are: James Scott, Eric Armstrong, Mark Shreve, Brian Seals, Ricky Brown, and Courtney Seals. Her grandchildren will stand as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. James “Jim” Thomas Puracchio, son of Dorothy Puracchio and the late Thomas Puracchio, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Campbellsville. He was 60 years, 3 months, and 7 days of age. Mr. Puracchio was an accomplished transmission mechanic, having worked on several professional teams and winning numerous awards throughout his lifetime. He was the owner of Jim’s Performance in Campbellsville, but he often felt that his biggest contribution to the sport he loved (drag racing) was in the work he did for the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow Engine Challenge, which has raised over 2 1/2 million dollars in scholarship money.

Mr. Narotm J. Patel passed from this life at his home in Campbellsville on May 17, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was 73 years of age. Mr. Patel was born in Deusana, Ta: Kadi, District: Mehsana, Gujarat, India to the late Jivram and Puriben Patel. He was a farmer by trade in India, and continued that occupation, as well as becoming a successful businessman, after he became a citizen of the United States.
Mr Patel leaves behind to mourn his passing:

Four children: Mahendra Patel, Ghanshyam Patel, Jyotsana Patel, and Bharat Patel

Mrs. Irma Jo Shepperson of Campbellsville passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 peacefully at her home. She was 60 years of age. She was the daughter of the late James and Helen Irene (Ritchie) Wilson. Mrs. Shepperson was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Kentucky where she had worked as a receptionist and secretary. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Campbellsville.
Mrs. Shepperson is survived by:
Her husband: Delson Eugene Shepperson of Campbellsville
Six children: Veronica Adams, Tony Shepperson, Brittany Bowier, Tammy Cox, and C.R. Shepperson, all of Campbellsville, and Dianna Williamson of Elizabethtown
Twelve grandchildren
One great-grandchild
And a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a memorial service arranged and conducted by the family at a later date, and will be announced by the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville.
