Robbin Cecil Colvin, 55

Mr. Robbin Cecil Colvin of Campbellsville passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after a short illness. He was 55 years, 11 months, and 1 day of age. Mr. Colvin was the son of Richard and Jo (Land) Colvin of Campbellsville, who survive. He was employed as a supervisor at the Jamestown Fruit of the Loom factory. Mr. Colvin had professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lifegate Baptist Church in Campbellsville.

Besides his parents, Mr. Colvin leaves behind:
His wife: Mona (Bradshaw) Colvin of Campbellsville,
One son: Ryan Colvin of Campbellsville,
One granddaughter: Amethyst Sky Colvin of Campbellsville,
One sister: Colleen Hunt and husband Steve of Campbellsville,
One nephew: Drew Hunt of Campbellsville,
Three nieces: Courtney Hunt and Shea Kearnes, both of Campbellsville, and Emily Bradshaw of Louisville,
His in-laws: Jimmy and Gretchen Bradshaw of Greensburg, and Lisa Kearnes of Campbellsville,
And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a memorial and committal service conducted to honor the life of Mr. Colvin at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718, on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 10:00 AM. All of Mr. Colvin’s friends and family are encouraged to attend.

Norman “Sonny” McAllister, 78

Mr. Norman Gene “Sonny” McAllister of Campbellsville passed away at his home on Sunday, June 8, 2014. He was 78 years of age. Mr. McAllister was born on June 19, 1935 in West Virginia to the late Harold and Mable (Townsend) McAllister. As a young man, Mr. McAllister answered the call to duty and served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a civil servant of the highest example, proven by his three retirements from federal, state, and city municipalities. Mr. McAllister was a Mason and an intellect. He loved playing chess, cards, and pool. He held bowling trophies, and was rarely seen without a quality book close at hand. Above all that, though, he cherished his family most.

Mr. McAllister leaves to mourn his passing:
His sweetheart and wife: Mrs. Janet (Wolfe) McAllister of Campbellsville,
Four children: Brenda-Kay Buck and husband Danny of Campbellsville, Christina Waczovszky and husband Joseph of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Kevin Gene McAllister and wife Lori of Medina, Ohio, and Karen Jean Stitt and husband Greg of Canal Winchester, Ohio,
Two sisters: Mary “Sissy” Williams and Linda Esparza, both of Virginia,
One brother: Albert McAllister of Virginia,
Twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren,
And a host of extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings: Harry Lee McAllister, Juanita “Nita” Newman, and Norma “Sunshine” McAllister.

There will be a funeral service for Mr. Norman Gene “Sonny” McAllister on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718, at 11:30 A.M.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, June 12, from 10:30 AM until time for the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association, and can be made at the funeral home.

Emma Grace Shive

blocksEmma Grace Shive, the infant daughter of Ryan and LaDonna Dial Shive of Edmonton was stillborn Friday in Glasgow at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital.

Besides her parents she is survived by a brother: Landon Shive of Edmonton.

Grandparents: Jeff & Genese Dial of Cave City, Rita and Jimmy Shive of Edmonton.

Great-grandparents: Rev. Stanley Hatcher of Cave City and Dorothy Petty of Columbia and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by a grandfather: Doug Shive and great-grandparents: Ruth Hatcher, Woodrow and Rae Dial, James and Ruby shive and Malcolm Petty.

A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. CST at the White Cemetery on Hwy 533 in Edmonton. Bro. Jon Dial will be officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Collins - Pic Mrs Judy Ann Collins of Webster, KY passed from this life on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Campbellsville at the home of her daughter. She was 72 years of age, and was the daughter of the late Colonel Griffith and Edna (Vaughn) Graham. Mrs. Collins was married to the late Msgt. Jimmy Wayne Collins; like many military wives, she became quite proficient in various fields. She was a self-taught computer and network engineer, yet she would often be found gardening or making home repairs. Mrs. Collins had professed faith in Christ, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness’.

Mrs. Collins leaves to cherish her memory:
One son: Jim Collins and wife Mona of Garfield, KY,
Two daughters: Debbie Bentley and husband Dr. Eric Bentley of Campbellsville, and Kim Stoker and husband Ed of Frankfort, KY
Eight grandchildren: Nicole Rice, Hannah Bentley-Keeven, Heather Bentley, Benjamin Bentley, Edward Stoker, Shannon Woodson, Jay Stoker, and Riley Collins,
Three step-grandchildren: Lindsay Reinhart, Chance Reinhart, and Saxon Reinhart,
Seven great-grandchildren,
Two in-laws: Betty Graham of Webster, KY, and Floyd Collins, Jr. of Brandenburg, KY

She was preceded in death by:

There will be a memorial service for Mrs. Judy Ann Collins held at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718 on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 1:00 PM EST. Mr. Floyd Collins, Jr. will deliver the eulogy.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 4, from 11:00 AM EST until time for the service.
Mrs. Collins’ remains will be interred in the Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, KY.

Billie L. Rutherford, 69

Mrs. Billie Lynn Rutherford of Columbia passed away at her home on Saturday, May 31, 2014 after an illness. She was 69 years of age. Mrs. Rutherford was born to Bill and Emma (Allen) Broyles on December 14, 1944 in Lowell, KY. As a young lady, she moved to Ohio where she married her sweetheart, Bud Rutherford, and together they shared many cherished years.
