Richard Nicholas “Nicky” McClanahan, of Clinton, KY, the son of the late John and Willie Ruth (Turner) McClanahan, was born February 23, 1937 in Fulton County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab.
He was 87 years of age.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton. A Veteran of the United States Army and was the owner and operator of Nicky’s Barbeque in Clinton, KY.
Nicky as he was known, enjoyed sports in general, including Kentucky Basketball, St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, quail hunting, fishing and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth McClanahan.
Survivors include two daughters: Gay Pillow and husband Robert and Lisa Eason and husband Rodney, all of Campbellsville.
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Brandon High and wife Valerie, Maegan Despain and husband Jeremiah, Makayla Spalding and husband Dylan and Pvt. Charlie Eason; four great-grandchildren: Payton High, Lukas, Kylee and Waylon Despain and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family chose cremation and a memorial service will be held later this month in Clinton, KY.

Janice Lee Hamm, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Spieles) Boreman, was born September 10, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, and departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at her home. She was 68 years of age.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Richard Boreman.
Janice was of the Catholic Faith and enjoyed gardening, playing volleyball, working at the Hosparus Thrift Store and most of all, attending any and all events that her family was part of.
Survivors include her husband: Philip A. Hamm; two daughters: Linda Hamm and Jennifer Van Mersbergen and husband Guy, all of Campbellsville.
Also surviving is a sister: Peggy Excobedo and husband Bedo of Campbellsville and Robert Boreman of Chicago; four grandchildren: Rebecca Hamm, Jaylynn, Phillip and Chyanne Van Mersbergen and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family of Janice would like to say a special “Thank You” to the staff at Hosparus for the care given to her during her illness.
To honor her request, the family chose cremation and no public services are scheduled at this time

Rodolphus Ray Taylor, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Willie Bill and (Lennie (Pryor) Taylor, was born November 17, 1935 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, April 28, 2024 in Elizabethtown at the Baptist Health Hardin. He was 88 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Pleasant Run Baptist Church and was a retired custodian at the Taylor County Elementary School.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Karen Taylor; a son: Thomas Taylor; his brothers and sisters: Willie Mae Taylor, Catherine Shockency, Leonard, Ralph, Phillip, Ester wood and Henry Arthur Taylor and a granddaughter: Brandi Barnett; nephews: Theodore Taylor, Luther Ray Taylor and Tyron VaShawn Taylor, Jr.
He enjoyed fishing, music, dancing, gardening and friends and family.
Survivors include his children: Annetta Young, Michael Lee Hall, Martha Linton and Anthony “Tony” Taylor; six grandchildren: Lanetta (Lamont Cecil, Corie Barnett, Harold Jermaine Barnett, Sheldon Taylor (Chantini) Owens, Tyron Taylor and Marquita Taylor and a host of great and great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church on Broadway on Campbellsville.
Interment in the Pleasant Run Cemetery in Green County.

Family requests visitation after 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church.

Daniel Ray Napier, of Knifley, the son of the late Ernest Adam and Ruby Napier, was born June 28, 1956 and departed this life on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 67 years of age.
He was a former electrician technician for National Guardian Security Company.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Brandon Gardner and two brothers: Magallen Napier and Randall Napier.
Survivors include a son: Stephen Garner and Jarrod Napier, both of Lexington; a brother: Chris Golden of Coburg.
Also four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
To honor the wishes of Mr. Napier, cremation rites were conducted by L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Wendi Renee Akin of Campbellsville, the daughter of Roger and Debra (Shofner) Sprowles of Campbellsville, was born November 18, 1977 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Louisville at the University Hospital. She was 46 years of age.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She loved her pets, horse riding and other farm animals, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Louise Shofner and Charlie and Goldie Sprowles and a grandchild: Ember Faith Brockman.
Besides her parents Roger and Debra, she is survived by her husband: Bryan Akin of Campbellsville; her children: Chase Brockman and wife Whitney, and Chance Brockman, all of Campbellsville, Noah Akin and Lily Akin, both of Greensburg; and a brother: Josh Sprowles of Campbellsville.
Also surviving is her grandfather: Elbert Shofner of Campbellsville; her mother-in-law: Connie Russell of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Nevaeh, Bentley, Addisyn, and Kinsley Brockman, and a host of other relatives and friends.
