Susan Ann Graham, 75

Susan Ann Graham, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late William and JoAnn (Lively) Volk, was born July 5, 1948 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her residence. She was 75 years of age.

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Amazon and was of the Christian Faith.

Susan enjoyed cooking, watching her TV shows, including the Hallmark movies, especially during Christmas.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Marshall Daryl “Dink” Graham, two sons: Marshall Graham, Jr and Greg Herbig; a brother and a sister: William “Billy” Volk and Barbara Fritz.

Survivors include four children: Jeff Herbig, Kevin Herbig, Kimberly Michelle Mitchell and husband Joseph and Marcella Graham, all of Campbellsville; two sisters: Carol Hogan of Bardstown and Debbie Harrod and husband Jim of LaGrange.

Also twelve grandchildren: Dillon, Christopher, Ashley, Shelby, Carissa, Samantha, George, Jessica, Taylor, Heather, Noah and Issac; ten great-grandchildren; one expectant great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Susan Ann Graham will be Monday, October 30, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Bro. Earl Rogers will be officiating.

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Monday until time for the service.

Junior Ray Parson, 82

  • Junior Ray Parson, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Hayes and Mazetta (Norris) Parson, was born April 16, 1941 in Metcalfe County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 82 years of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Jesus Name Church. He was a former maintenance and construction employee for the State of Kentucky, a constable, and was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge # 124 F&AM.

Junior enjoyed mowing and caretaking of the Arrowhead Ranch in Campbellsville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Lois Kendall and Gladys and Marcella Parson as infants.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Zelma Faye (Smith) Parson of Campbellsville; a daughter: Margaret Parson and husband Jeff Wheat of Campbellsville; two sons: Roy Parson and wife Dorothy of Russell Springs and Keith Wayne Parson and companion: Monica of Winchester.

Also a brother: Wayne Parson of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Jason Tucker and wife Brandy, Megan Couarrubias and husband Seth, Shawna Shuffett and husband John and Lily Parson; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Junior Ray Parson will be Saturday, October 24, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Elder Rueal Boils will be officiating.

Visitation after 11:00 A.M. until time for the service

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, both can be made at the funeral home.

Masonic service will be conducted at approx. 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Bryce Eugene Savage, 31

Bryce Eugene Savage of Campbellsville, KY, the son Kevin Kindle of Arizona and Amber Mercer of Campbellsville, was born March 30, 1992 in Kilmarnock, VA and departed this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was 31 years of age.

He was of the Christian faith and loved spending time with family and friends, listening to rap music, tattoos, paintball, working on cars, and was especially looking forward to being a new dad.

Besides his parents, he is survived by three children: Ford Savage Mercer, Azura Savage Mercer, Nova Hicks, and one expected son: Mavryk Anthony Bryce Savage, his companion Camryn Belliveau, one sister: Lindsey Schmitz of Iowa. His grandmother: Brenda Graham, along with several aunts and uncles: Michael Graham (Royce), Kevin Graham (Tammy), Kelly Graham, Tiffany Ferguson (Lancer) and CJ Kampf (Michael).

There will be a funeral service for Bryce Eugene Savage on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. EDT at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel, 1765 New Columbia Rd. in Campbellsville with cremation to follow.

Bro. John Nguyen will officiate.

Visitation will be held Wednesday October 25, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. until time of the service.

Memorials are suggested to be donations to KODA- Kentucky Organ Donors Association and can be made at the funeral home.

Linda Sue Smith, 75

Linda Sue Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James “Jim” Morris and Betty Lay Morris, was born, February 12, 1948 in Liberty, KY and departed this life on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at her residence. She was 75 years of age.

She professed faith in Christ and attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters and one son: Tammy Taylor and husband Steve of Liberty, Scotty Thomas Smith Jr. and Kim Watson both of Campbellsville, along with ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and one sister: Delitha Ellis of Liberty.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Bobby L. Derringer, second husband: Scotty T. Smith. One son: Michael Thomas Smith, one sister and two brothers: Ina Evans, Leverne Wilcher and Elbert Morris.

The graveside service for Linda Sue Smith will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1 P.M. at the Whited Cemetery in Casey Co.

Bro. Darrell Tucker will officiate.

 In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made in the form of donations to the funeral expenses and those can be made at the funeral home.

Betty Jean (French) Wilson, 78

Mrs. Betty Jean (French) Wilson of Campbellsville passed from this life on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. Born in Knifley on November 28, 1944 to the late Charlie and Lissie (Harris) French, she was 78 years of age. Mrs. Wilson was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Union Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

Two children: Darrell Ford of Campbellsville, and Kathy Satterly of Shelbyville,

Two brothers: Garnett French and wife Donna of Ohio, and Clifford French of Campbellsville,

Thirteen grandchildren, including her caretakers Brandon Satterly and Jessica Veatch,

Nineteen great-grandchildren,

And a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wilson; a son: David Murrell Ford; three siblings: Mildred Elmore, Richard M. “Buster” French, and Bobby French; and a daughter-in-law: Louise Ford.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Wilson on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro David Wray will officiate. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery immediately following.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 17, after 10:00 AM until time for the service.

Brandon Satterly, Casee Satterly, Joshua Ford, Shondah Cowherd, David Ford, and Bryan Ford will serve as pallbearers.
