Mr. Bernard David “Bernie” Shrader, Jr. of Campbellsville passed from this life on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Baptist Hardin Hospital. Born on April 2, 1960 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Bernard David Sr and Jane Shrader, he was 61 years, 4 months, and 10 days of age. He was a HVAC installer and repairman, specializing in ammonia refrigeration.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His companion of 31 years: Robin Humphrey of Campbellsville,

A son: Jason D. Shrader,

A stepdaughter he raised as his own: Ashley J. Fryman and husband Mark,

Two sisters: Marcia Lutzo and husband Tom, and Debbie Nichols,

A grandson: Gabriel Fryman,

The family chose cremation. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Richard “Ricky” Appleby 50

Richard “Ricky” Appleby, the son of Allen Appleby and the late Darlene (Clements) Appleby, was born February 27, 1971 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Sunday, August 15, 2021 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 50 years of age.

He enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and making people laugh and was just a simple man and was a press operator until his health declined.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother: Michael Appleby.

He is survived by his wife: Lisa (Corbin) Appleby, two children: Mariah Appleby and Michael Appleby; his father-in-law: James Corbin and wife: Debbie; his mother-in-law: Mary Corbin and companion: Edward “Pee Wee” Dulworth and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service for Richard “Ricky” Appleby will be conducted at the Tallow Creek Cemetery.

There will be no visitation

Alton Haines, 90

Mr. Alton Stewart Haines of Hiseville, formerly of Mannsville, passed from this life on Monday, August 2, 2021. Born in Carroll County, Maryland on April 11, 1931 to the late Walter Turner, Sr. and Mary Pauline (Wantz) Haines, he was 90 years, 3 months, and 23 days of age. Mr. Haines had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

Alton met and married the love of his life, Ms. Barbara Hutchinson, who he affectionately referred to as “Jones”. Together they owned and operated various dairy farms in their home state of Maryland and started a family. They moved their growing family to Kentucky and continued their passion for farm life on a large dairy farm in Mannsville and then later in Campbellsville. They shared 62 years of marriage until her passing in February 2019. Alton also spent several years with Cox Interior in addition to farming. All who knew Alton experienced the tremendous character and work ethic that he personified.

He leaves to carry his legacy:

Four children: Donna Durbin of Cave City, Tom Haines and wife Tonya of Campbellsville, Will Haines and wife Tammy of Greensburg, and Charlie Haines and wife Karin of Huntsville, AL,

Thirteen grandchildren: Christopher Durbin, Zachary Durbin, Lauren Bennett and husband Jamie, Elizabeth Coffey and husband Josh, Emily Cook and husband Chris, Jacob Haines, Shelby Haines, Jessica Lewis and husband Chip, Ashley Haines, Morgan Haines, Chase Haines, Charley Haines, and Chandler Haines,

Five great-grandchildren: Riley Coffey, Elaine Cook, Colbie Coffey, Rosalind Bennett, and Thomas Jack Cook,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Susan Marie Haines, and a son-in-law, Jack Durbin.

Mr. Haines chose cremation. There will be a service to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 3:00 PM EST (2:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Jamie Bennett will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 1:00 PM EST (12:00 PM CST) until time for the service.

Mr. Larry Michael “Mike” Waldrep of Campbellsville was born on March 4, 1962 in Anniston, Alabama to the late Dewey “Billy” and Julia (White) Waldrep. He passed from this life on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center, being 58 years, 4 months, and 30 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Waldrep was a mechanic by trade, and having an easy-going nature, he enjoyed many weekends watching Alabama football on Saturday and a NASCAR race on Sunday.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

One son: Blair Waldrep and wife Carly of Campbellsville,

A sister: Shirl Rock and husband Danny of Hodgenville,

Five grandchildren: Christopher Waldrep, Shyler Waldrep, Deliah Waldrep, Crimson Waldrep, and Kayla Outlaw,

And a host of other family and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Tyler Waldrep.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Waldrep on Friday, August, 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Todd Parrish will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery, Hwy 527, Campbellsville, KY.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 6, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Jeanette Clements, 64

Mrs. Jeanette Marie (Garrett) Clements was born on November 16, 1956 in Campbellsville, to the late Bennie and Lois (Gribbins) Garrett.

She passed away on Friday July 30, 2021 at Taylor Regional Hospital, being 64 years, 8 months, 14 days of age. She was a housekeeper for 25 years and loved farming. Jeanette loved to play bingo, have fun, and was an exceptional cook. She also loved her son and family and was one of the strongest women they knew.

Jeanette accepted Christ as her personal savior and was of the Baptist faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

One son: Eugene Clements and wife Kathy of Elk Horn,

Three grandchildren: Chelsey Clements, Whitney Clements and Austin Clements,

Six siblings: Stanley Garrett of Merrimac, Junior Garrett and wife Carol of Indianapolis, and Josephine Newton and husband Roy, Evelyn Cox and husband Bobby, Betty Seals and husband James, and Connie Gribbins and husband George, all of Campbellsville,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Ray Eugene “Gene” Clements, son Ray Jr., and four siblings, David Garrett, Hanley Garrett, Juanita Cox, and Barbara Tungate.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Clements on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville KY. Bro. Freddy Thompson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Bernard Church Cemetery in Clementsville.

visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
