Gregory Keith Watson, 50

Gregory Keith Watson, of Campbellsville, the son of Jerry Cox and the late Neda Kaye Watson, was born May 23, 1972 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Monday, June 13, 2022 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 50 years of age.

He was a former carpenter and home remodeler, a lineman, a former employee at the Green River Marina and demolished industrial smoke stacks and was of the Christian faith.

Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a step-brother: Leo Sallee.

Survivors include his wife: Laura (Callison) Watson; his father: Jerry Cox and wife Debbie; five children: Corey Keith Watson, CheyAnn Sky Edwards, Chelsie Edwards Graham and husband Logan, Sidney Autum Ewards and Summer Shayd Edwards.

Also surviving is a sister: Angela Michelle Graham and companion Gary Simons, Robert Matthews and Sara Houk; two grandchildren: Hunter Webb and Addison Graham; his mother-in-law: Ann Callison; step-brother: Clifford Tungate; special friend: Kim Watson and a host of nieces and nephews including Brinkley Simons and Colton Graham.

The funeral service for Gregory Keith Watson will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Bro. Darrell Ford will be officiating.

Visitation after 10:00 A.M. until time for the service

Lorene Oldson, 94

Lorene Oldson, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Claude and George Ann Bright, was born January 18, 1928 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in Greensburg at the Green Hill Manor. She was 94 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

She enjoyed pretty flowers and working in her flower beds, cooking and spending time with her great-grandkids.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Lindsey Oldson in 1978, a granddaughter: Carolyn Garrett in 2016 and a sister: Dorothy Gribbins.

She is survived by a daughter: Connie Atwood and husband Robert of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Jonathon Wiser, Christopher Alia and Stevi Shirley; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Lorene Oldson will be Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Old Liberty Cemetery at Bradfordsville.

Bro. Raymond Atwood will be officiating.

Family requests visitation on Sunday after 11:00 A.M. until time for the service.

William Lewis Elmore, 87

Mr. William Lewis Elmore of Campbellsville, son of the late Guy and Mary Lou (Thomas) Elmore, was born in Taylor County on June 16, 1934. He departed this life on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the Rex Robley VA Medical Center, being 87 years, 11 months, and 18 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Elmore was a former salesman for Burkholder Insurance, and worked at Cox Interior as a security guard for almost 20 years following his retirement. A former constable, he was made an honorary deputy by Sheriff Junior Sprowles. Mr. Elmore had served his country honorably in the United States Army, and was a member of Elkhorn Masonic Lodge F&AM #568 and Scottish Rite.

He was also preceded in death by Mrs. Audrey Jeanette (Malone) Elmore, and a son, Kenneth Elmore.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Three children: Stephen Elmore and wife Crystal Kaye of Campbellsville, Patrick Lewis Elmore and wife Jamie of Shepherdsville, and William Lewis Elmore Spitler and wife Leann of Illinois,

Six grandchildren: Jason Elmore, Benjamin Elmore, Kristy Hensley, Audrey Elmore, Madison Elmore, and William “Billy” Spitler,

Two great-grandchildren: Jaden Elmore and Lilly Elmore,

And a host of other family members and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Elmore on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Michael Mustain will officiate. Cremation will be accorded Mr. Elmore following the funeral, with final interment in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Joyce Huddleston, 93

Mrs. Joyce Maxine Huddleston of Campbellsville was born in Ft. Pierce, Florida on February 8, 1929 to the late Heber and Mildred May (Mercer) Fox. She departed this life on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center, having attained the age of 93 years, 3 months, and 26 days. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Huddleston was a former employee of Bell’s Bakery and Campbellsville Laundry.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Joe Huddleston, Sr., on March 22, 2021, and two brothers, Justice Lee “J.L.” Fox and Heber Fox, Jr.
She is survived locally by a grandson, Tony Huddleston, and a daughter-in-law, Pam Huddleston.
Also surviving is a son: Mike Stettenbenz and wife Gail of Indiana,
Three grandchildren: Gary Stettenbenz, Mike Richardson, and Janelle Richardson,
A chosen son: Jimmy Anderson,
And a host of great-grandchildren, current and former exchange students, and other relatives and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Huddleston on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Joe Castello will officiate. Cremation will be accorded her following the service.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 8, after 4:00 PM until time for the service.

Henry Layman Damron, 75

Henry Layman Damron, of Glasgow, the son of the late Millard Curtis and Ruth Catherine (Brown) Damron was born July 7, 1946 in Wayne County, West Virginia and departed this life on Saturday in Glasgow at his home. He was 75 years of age.

He was a surface miner, where he was the lead blaster, a former truck driver and a auto mechanic for Charles Nolley and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was a Veteran of Vietnam, having service in the United States Marine Corp.

Henry founded the Giles County (TN) Veterans Honor Guard and was a past post commander of the American Legion #60 in Tennessee.

He enjoyed motorcycles and loved music, having played the keyboard for Tru Dynasty.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Donald, Curtis and Charles Damron.

Survivors include four children: Sherry Damron-Arnett and husband JD of Magnolia, Rev. Jay Damron and wife Cindy of Edmonton, Jeff Robertson of Pulaski, TN and Jennifer Cordial and husband Jason of Louisa; a brother: John Paul Damron of Pulaski, TN.

Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren: Shawn (Heather) McCubbins, Andrea Megan (Brandon) Whitlow, Erica Dawn Phinney (Dealin) Mattingly, Dylan (Audrey) Arnett, Joshua (Lindsey) Damron, Jessica (Bryan) Cyr, Clary Quinn, Jayden Lee Damron, Damian (Haley) Robertson, Sunserra Robertson, Caleb Robertson, Logan Robertson, Raclyn Robertson, Dakota Cordial, Sydney Cordial, Shianne Cordial, Dalton Cordial, Sara (Adam) Cantrell and Tia (Zack) Sloan; ten great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Henry Layman Damron will be Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. EST (10 CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 5-8 PM EST (4-7) CST. at the funeral home.
