Master Genesis Wade Barlow-Welch of Campbellsville was born on July 22, 2019 to Mitchell Lee Welch and Patricia Noelle Barlow. He entered his heavenly home on Monday, March 29, 2021, being 1 year, 8 months, and 7 days of age. Master Genesis was a bundle of love and energy; he was Mom’s “Happy Feet” and Dad’s “Turkey”. His hugs and snuggles will be cherished and remembered until God’s great reunion day.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Close cousins: Josh and Emily Seacrest of Somerset,

The family chose cremation. A public memorial service may be held at a later date.

Mr. James Ray “Jimmy” Calhoun of Elk Horn was born on November 20, 1967 in Franklin, Indiana to the late Frank and Juanita (Hughes) Calhoun. He departed this life on Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home, being 53 years, 4 months, and 9 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church. Mr. Calhoun was a diesel mechanic and a former employee of Keyboard Carriage. He will be remembered as a family man; his grandchildren were paramount in his life.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

His wife: Deronda Faye (Woodrum) Calhoun,

Two children: James Calhoun and companion Brantlee McGaha, and Maggie Calhoun and companion Michael Chenault, all of Elk Horn,

Two siblings: Marty Calhoun and wife Kelley of Greensburg, and Becky Warren of Campbellsville,

Six grandchildren: Eric Chenault, Lexie Despain, Kyler Calhoun, Tucker Calhoun, Letty Calhoun, and Laken Calhoun,

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Calhoun on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsvilel, KY. Bro. Raymond Atwood and Bro. Michael Woodrum will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Callahan Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Apr 2, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.

Mrs. Virginia Elizabeth Taylor of Campbellsville, Passed from this life on Friday March 26, 2021 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center. Born September 1, 1929 to the late Robert and Sarah Davis (Penick) Taylor, she was 91 years, 6 months, and 25 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Run Baptist Church. She had a natural green thumb and enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Mrs. Taylor loved to play her harmonica as much as others enjoyed listening. She was the devoted wife to Mr. Ester Wood Taylor who preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing:

Nine children : Sarah Tobin and husband Zachery, Clara Abell, Dwight Taylor and wife Becky, Connie Taylor, Kennith Taylor, Lottie Taylor, Nancy Taylor, Janice Taylor and husband Tee, and Vanessa Moorman

A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her children: Bobby Taylor, Ivin Taylor, Danita Gay, and Betty Williams,

Eight siblings: Betty Taylor, Naomi B Taylor, Cora Lee Taylor, Hallie Taylor, Charlie Taylor, Henry Taylor, Leonard Taylor, and James T Taylor

Mr. Vestal Hobbs, 82

Mr. Vestal Lavern Hobbs of Columbia (The Sparksville Community), formerly of Howell County, Missouri, Passed from this life on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the T.J. Samson Hospital in Glasgow. He was 82 years of age. He was born on June 25, 1938 in West Plains, Missouri to the late Theodore Roosevelt and Daisy Rebecca (Roupe) Hobbs. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a devoted employee of the Amyx Manufacturing Plant, retiring after 35 years of service.

Mr. Hobbs was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mrs. Melba Kay (Dodson) Hobbs; a son, Vestal Hobbs, Jr.; two brothers, Cleo Hobbs and Merle Hobbs; and a sister, Loretta Daniels.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Two children: Daryl Hobbs of Missouri, and Debra Adams and husband Michael of Columbia,

Two brothers: Merlin “T” Hobbs and wife Judy of Missouri, and Kenneth Hobbs and wife Donna of Kansas,

Joe Huddleston, 62

Joseph Anthony “Joe” Huddleston, Sr., of Campbellsville, the son of Joyce Maxine (Fox) Huddleston of Campbellsville and the late Lanous Huddleston, was born February 19, 1959 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Monday, March 22, 2021 in Elizabethtown at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital. He was 62 years of age.

He was a self-employed entrepreneur, owning service businesses and rental properties. “He was a jack of all trades and master of all” was expressed by his family.

Joe, as everyone knew him enjoyed mud racing, big trucks, mowing the grass on his tractor, but found great pleasure spending time with family and friends.

Besides his mother, he is survived by; his wife: Pam Huddleston; his son: Tony Huddleston, both of Campbellsville; Pascal Burghardt an exchange student from Germany; half-brother: Mike Stettenbenz and wife Gail of Indiana; his father-in-law and mother-in-Law: Charles and Pat Brown of Louisville; sister-in-law: Carol Castello and husband Joe of Mt. Washington; his brother-in-law: Joe Brown of Louisville; special friends: Doug Farmer, Jimmy Anderson and Buddy McNear and a host of exchange students all across the world and a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Joe Huddleston will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.

Bro. Joe Castello will be officiating.

A walk-thru visitation will be after 4:00 P.M. until time for the service.

Memorials are suggested to the Pan Atlantic Foundation for exchange students or the Taylor County Middle School youth service center, both can be made in person at the funeral home.
