Letha Davidson, 63

Letha A. Davidson of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Thomas and Aileen (Hedgespeth) Allen, was born March 13, 1959 in Taylor County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab after a short stay. She was 63 years of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. She was a former employee of 25 years at the Kroger on Broadway in Campbellsville.

Annie, as she was mostly called by family and friends, enjoyed cooking and canning and spending time with her cats, which were her fur babies.

Although she had no children of her own, she was a mother figure to many.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joey Davidson in 2018 and two brothers: Brian Thomas Allen and David Ingram Allen.

Survivors include two sisters: Regina and Rev. Freddy Thompson and Shelia Warren; special cousin: James Ray Hedgespeth; one aunt: Kathryn Garnett of Campbellsville; one uncle: Donald Underwood of Campbellsville; nieces and nephew: Natalie Hall and husband Jeremy, Nathan Thompson and wife Samantha, and Courtney Mikel; three great-nephews: Oliver Jonas Mikel, William Thomas Mikel, and Jamison Brock Thompson; special friends: Henry and Linda Pierce, Denise Walsh, Terry Underwood, Doug and Tina DeSpain and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Letha A. Davidson will be Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. in the Campbellsville Chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Interment in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Taylor County.

Rev. Freddy Thompson will be officiating.

Family request visitation after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday until time for the service at the funeral home.

Bridgette Denise Simpson, 55

Bridgette Denise Simpson, the daughter of the late William Fred Simpson, Jr and Shelia Mae Gumm, was born August 6, 1967 in Campbellsville and departed this life on Monday, August 29, 2022 in Campbellsville at her home. She was 55 years of age.

She was a former employee of Magnolia Alley Florist and was of the Christian Faith.

Survivors include a daughter: Bobbie Jo Obanion; a sister: Carol Brown; two nephews: Joshua Doyle Simpson and Ryan Micah Sears and special friend: Lois Brown.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Kellie Rae Obanion-Allen.

William “Bill” Berry, Sr., 70

William Edward “Bill” Berry, Sr. of Campbellsville, the son of the late Robert Francis and Charlotte May (Bell) Berry was born, July 6, 1952 in Walton, New York and departed this life on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 70 years of age.
He was a former construction worker having been a general contractor.
He united in marriage to Debrah JoAnn (Funk) Berry, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include four children: Barbara Ann Renn, Lisa Marie Hauser, William E. Berry, Jr and wife Terry and Danny Roy Berry and wife April.
Also his brothers and sisters: Robert Francis Berry, II, Tracie Ann Batcho, Trisha Jo Scripp, Robin Lynne Lo Furno, Danny Robert Berry, Kathy Eileen Fugle and Randy Irving Berry; eighteen grandchildren and a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Cremation rites were entrusted to L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Mrs. Sharon D. (Brown) Harris Shults of Campbellsville passed peacefully from this life on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at her home. Born in Chaplin, KY on July 11, 1964 to Audrey Mae (Coulter) Brown and the late William D. Brown, she was 58 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Shults was an educator, working over 33 years as a teacher at Campbellsville Middle School. She absolutely loved her students, and took great pride in watching them grow and develop over the years.

She leaves to cherish her memory:

A daughter: Brooklyn Harris Spaulding and husband Malique,

Two grandsons: Braylon Ray Harris and Laiken Michael Harris,

Three nephews: Christopher Woodbury, Matthew Woodbury, and Riley Brown,

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Sharon Harris Shults on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Ivan Tucker and Bro. David Wray will officiate. Cremation will be accorded her following the service.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Margaret Stultz, 92

Margaret (Callahan) Stultz, 92 of Sheridan passed away on August 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 31, 1929, to the late Henry C. and Eva (Wise) Callahan in Taylor County, Kentucky. Growing up in Southern Kentucky, she loved to go fishing, and camping. This was something she shared with her family. She could also be found every year hunting mushrooms and looking for ginseng. Margaret also loved going dancing and would look forward to going with her late husband Robert. She had a deep love and respect for animals, she had many pets over the years dogs, cats. Margaret would make sure the stray cats and animals always had a meal to eat at her home.

Margaret taught many values to her family whom she loved, especially her grandchildren. She is going to be greatly missed by her family, her children Larry (Tammie) Clements, Bruce Chappell, Roberta “Bobbi Jo” (Jeff) Raines-Sowders and Jeffrey Stultz. She was a loving grandmother to Tabatha (Vince) Havlin, Beverly (Patrick) Weiss, Trish (Scot) Bewley, Alysha Tims, Misty (Brent) Milton, Bryan Clements, Sandra M. Raines, Michele (Paul) Hayden, Michael F. Raines, Melissa (Gabe) Negron, Nicole Chappell, Dustin Chappell, Shawna Chappell, and Chris (Andrea “Krissy”) Stultz. She was a proud great grandmother to 25 and great great grandmother to 4. She was a devoted sister to Bradley Eugene (Linda) Callahan and Virginia (Burlin) Ewing, and she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Margaret was especially grateful to her nephew Dave Malbone who would always watch over her. Preceding Margaret in death is her husband Robert Scott Stultz, her siblings Hearl Callahan, James Eddie Callahan, Mattie Bell Callahan, Coy Callahan, and David Callahan.

Calling will be held on Saturday August 27, 2022, from 11:00 am till 2:00 pm at Fisher Family Funeral Services located at 508 E. 6th St. Sheridan. A graveside service will be held on Monday August 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Callahan Cemetery located 4571 Speck Ridge Rd. Elk Horn, Kentucky. Margaret’s nephew David Kalman will be officiating her service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis 7929 N. Michigan Rd. Indianapolis, Indiana 46268. Fisher Family Funeral Services has been entrusted with the care of Margaret Stultz.
