Jennifer Kaye Benningfield

Jennifer Kaye Benningfield of Campbellsville, daughter of Donna Kaye Wood Benningfield and the late Terry Wayne Benningfield, was born May 10, 1987 in Pulaski County, Kentucky.  She died at 10:22 A.M., Monday, June 13, 2022 in Louisville.   Age:  35

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church.  Jennifer had a beautiful soul and had a heart for the Lord her entire life.

She was dearly loved by her parents, brother and grandparents and will be missed beyond measure.  Jennifer enjoyed gospel music and going to church.  She also loved to sew and do crafts and made special gifts to give to family and loved ones.

Jennifer is survived by her mother, Donna Kaye Benningfield of Campbellsville; one brother, Ryan Benningfield of Elizabethtown; aunts and uncles:  Tommy (Natosha) Peppers and Roger (Patti) Benningfield of Campbellsville and Peggy (Andy) Sloan of Lexington; special friends:  Vicki Burkes, Ronyale McCoomer, Delores Newton and Verlee Alcorn and many other relatives and friends.

Jennifer was also preceded in death by her grandparents:  Noel Wood and Barbara Wood Pike and Lyndon and Naomi Benningfield and two aunts:  Cindy Wood Denton and Mary Ann Peppers.

Theresa Sapp Goodin

Theresa Sapp Goodin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Luther Sapp and Flossie Agnes Knopp Sapp was born May 13, 1935 in Marion County, Kentucky.  She died at 9:12 P.M., Monday, June 13, 2022 in Somerset.   Age:  87

She was an active member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church in Finley.

Theresa was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She lived for her kids and grandkids and enjoyed working in her yard and watching the wildlife outside her home.

Theresa united in marriage to Gene Goodin December 13, 1958 and he preceded her in death June 13, 2015.  In true fashion and the significance of the 13th, she passed on the same day as her husband, seven years apart.

She is survived by one son and one daughter:  Wayne Goodin (Karen) of Lebanon and Dawn Conder (Terry) of Somerset; one daughter-in-law, Felicia Goodin; six grandchildren:  Jeffrey Goodin, D. J. Goodin, LeeAnn Goodin, Aaron Conder, Annie Conder and Sean Whitman; one sister, Frances Clarkston of Louisville; her caregiver, Rubie Brock; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Theresa was also preceded in death by a son, Timmy Goodin and two brothers and two sisters:  James Sapp, Herb Sapp, Ruby Maupin and Viola Newcomb.

The family would like to wish a special thanks to Rubie Brock and Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

Spenser “Ru” Chea

Spenser “Ru” Chea of Lexington, formerly of Campbellsville, son of Daelan Simpson and Emily Ann Chea, was born March 23, 2019  in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:18 P.M., Sunday, June 12, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:   3

He was a fun-loving little fellow and enjoyed hiding things from his family.  He loved tractors, motorcycles, all music and dancing and Paw Patrol.  He especially loved his dog, Max and his cat, Princess.

Besides his parents, Daelan Simpson and Emily Ann Chea of Lexington, he is survived by one brother, Aiden Jeremiah “A.J.” Chea of Lexington; grandparents:  Nathena and David Garner of Campbellsville and Missie “MeMe” Simpson of Greensburg; uncles:  Uncle Joe and Uncle Tae; god-mother, CiCi Shears and many other relatives whom he loved dearly.

Pauline Hovious of Elk Horn, daughter of the late Howard Hovious and Vernon Burris Hovious Perkins, was born January 24, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Friday, June 10, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  86

She is survived by four sons and one daughter: Tony Hovious and wife, Debbie and Rick Hovious and wife, Melissa of Campbellsville, Greg Hovious, Bryan Hovious and Shannon Hovious of Elk Horn; three grandchildren:  Brianna Hovious of Campbellsville, Britney Viers of Elk Horn and Brandon Hovious of China; four sisters: Kathy Hovious, Lequita Barnett and Brenda Wilson of Campbellsville and Diane Pittman and husband, Sonny of Marion County; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister:  David Hovious, Daniel Hovious and Geraldine Tucker.

Vivian C. Wilcher Christie of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ervin Wilcher and Ruth Cochran Wilcher, was born May 13, 1941 in Casey County, Kentucky.  She died Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Campbellsville.   Age:  81

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Donald Christie November 11, 1988 and he preceded her in death May 20, 2015.

She loved flowers, gardening, canning and sewing curtains.

Vivian is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Allen of Liberty; one step-daughter, Debbie Druin of Campbellsville; one grandchild, Kyle Newton and fiancé, Emily Newton of Casey County; seven step-grandchildren: Khandin McColley, Amythyst McColley, Taz McColley, Karissa Skaggs and husband, Josh, Jessie Walters and wife, Natalie, Cade Ray, and Tray Flinchum; eleven step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda White of Louisville; her beloved furbaby, Yukon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Vivian was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Goode; one grandson, Joshua Daugherty; one step-daughter, Rindi Christie; one step-grandchild, Robby McColley and four brothers: Lee Wilcher, Horace Wilcher, Charles Ray Wilcher, and Bobby Wilcher.
