Geneva Sullivan Collins

Geneva Sullivan Collins of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Almon Sullivan and Pauline Campbell Sullivan, was born April 5, 1942 in Russell County, Kentucky. She died at 12:01 A.M., Monday, February 7, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Woodlawn Christian Church, where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
Geneva was a homemaker and bookkeeper and manager of Dynamic Athletic Center she and her husband owned.
She had an ear for music and began playing by ear at age four and never learned to read music but could play anything she heard.
She loved decorating especially at Christmas and enjoyed watching her grandsons play ball.
She united in marriage to Charlie Collins July 10, 1959 and he preceded her in death June 5, 2020.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Mark Collins and wife, Teresa of Seymour, Tennessee and Jennifer Chewning and husband, David of Campbellsville; two grandsons: Matthew A. Chewning of Nicholasville and John P. Chewning and wife, RaeAnn of Campbellsville; one sister, Betty Wheat; her granddog, Lilly Fiona; nieces and nephews: Sandy Bell of Louisville, Gene Smith of Columbia, Mike Akers of Lexington, Lana Maupin of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Patrick Sullivan of Nicholasville and Ann Hatcher of Jamestown and many other relatives and friends.
Geneva was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Almon Sullivan, Jr., Joyce Akers and Lois Smith.

Barry Keith Smith, of Campbellsville, son of the late George Edward Smith and Martha Lee Canon Smith, was born July 23, 1962, in Wayne County, Michigan. He died at 12:59 A.M., Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 59
He professed faith in Christ and attended The Rock Community Worship Center. Barry loved his Lord and Savior.
Barry was an employee of First United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Campbellsville Independent School System after twenty-seven years of service.
He loved animals and was a lifelong lover of weightlifting.
He is survived by his lifelong companion, Anita Smith of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister: Randy Smith and wife, Karen of Somerset and Lisa K. Rozek and husband, William of Brighton, Michigan; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

James Kenneth Perkins

James Kenneth Perkins, of Campbellsville, son of the late Bennie Perkins and Lola Sweeden Perkins, was born August 5, 1930 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:09 A.M., Sunday, February 6, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 91
He had professed faith of Christ.
He was a retired farmer and had worked at McMahan Furniture and for Cox’s Sawmill.
He was kind-hearted man who loved his family and would do anything for anybody.
He united in marriage to Vernon Hovious Perkins who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one brother and one sister: Glen Perkins and Geraldine Ford of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by an infant child and two brothers and two sisters: Raymond Perkins, Louis Perkins, Delois Farmer and Doris Woodrum.

Sara Blevins Curry

Sara Blevins Curry of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late William Lyle Blevins and Nelle Pryse Blevins was born on October 2, 1946 in Campbellsville, KY.  She died on the morning of February 5, 2022 in Bellevue Washington at 75 years of age. 
She professed her faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of Campbellsville Baptist Church and a frequent visitor at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Sara grew up in Campbellsville and loved her hometown and Campbellsville University where she took tremendous joy in being part of growing the community.  She was a retired owner of multiple beloved community restaurants including, The Cumberland House Family Restaurant where throughout the 80’s and 90’s families shared many meals and special moments with Sara. She was the former Chair of the Advancement Board at Campbellsville University and took great pride in being an alumnus.  
Sara is survived by her daughter, Leigh Anne Clark, husband, David, and two grandchildren, Hudson and Gavin Clark of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband James Freeman Curry, August 3, 2014 and brother Phillip Blevins, March 24, 1995.

Linda Read Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Joe Read and Nora Cruise, was born October 20, 1942 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:00 A.M., Friday, February 4, 2022 in Hodgenville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
Linda was a very private person, sewing was her favorite activity.
Linda is survived by one daughter, Wanda Shirrell and companion, Eddie Nalley of Summersville; two grandchildren: Raymond Shirrell of Campbellsville, and Robert Shirrell of Greensburg; two brothers and four sisters: John Read, Delores Jeffries, Edna Read, Evalean Read, Josie Osborne, and Larry Read; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters: Robert Read, Joe Read, Glenn Read, Harry Read, Benny Read, Catherine Read, Norma Read, and Rosie Read.
