William Benningfield of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Elmer Togo Benningfield and Nancy Myrtle Marple Benningfield, was born August 9, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:44 A.M., Monday, January 10, 2022 in Louisville. Age: 82
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
William served his country honorably in the United States Army.
William enjoyed fishing, gardening, working on cars and spending time with his family.
He united in marriage to Cheryl J. Davis and she preceded him in death on August 9, 2002.
William is survived by one daughter, Laurie Byerly of Louisville; five grandchildren: Steven Caswell, Jenna Beningfield, Brandon Beningfield, Kara Byerly and Megan Caplinger of Louisville; one sister, Shirley Warren and husband, Bob of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Dottie Benningfield of Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Caplinger and a brother, Elmer Lee Benningfield.

Jerry Butler, Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Joseph Howard Butler, Sr. and Eva Bell Goodman Butler, was born August 16, 1957 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died at 12:24 P.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 64
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church but most recently, had been attending Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Jerry was an employee of Greensburg Bottling Company and Amazon and a part-time employee of Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He united in marriage to Nadine Cox on May 13, 1979.
Besides his wife, Nadine Cox Butler of Campbellsville, Jerry is survived by three sons and four daughters: Jerry Butler, Jr. and wife, Diana, Joseph Lewis Butler and wife, Cristie, Zachary Butler, Laura Gumm and husband, Steven, Elizabeth York and husband, Andy and Rebekah Gabbert and husband, Josh of Campbellsville and Mollie Mitchell and husband, Daniel of Scottsville; special family friends: Cameron Dial and Kattie Berry, whom he considered like his own children; fifteen grandchildren: Savannah Gumm, Ryne Gumm, Madison York, Morgan York, Mason York, Memphis York, Versailee Butler, Lucas Butler, Bastien Butler, Emma Gabbert, Jaxson Gabbert, Elisa Gabbert, Sadie Gabbert, Laina Butler and Selena Butler; three brothers: Rev. John Robert Butler and wife, Carolyn of Campbellsville, Rev. Joseph Howard Butler, Jr. and wife, Laura McWhorter Miner-Butler of Winchester, Tennessee and Rev. David Johns of Frankfort, son of Jane Marple Johns, and the late Frankie Johns, was born September 24, 1963 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 9:17 P.M., Monday, January 3, 2022 in Frankfort. Age: 58
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Ninth and O Baptist Church in Louisville.
David was a surgical technician for some forty years first at Taylor Regional Hospital and currently at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He enjoyed, cooking, entertaining, going out with friends and family, and traveling. He always wanted to look proper.
He is survived by two sons: Adam Johns of Campbellsville and Eric Johns of Frankfort; his mother, Jane Johns of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; three brothers and one sister: Todd Johns and wife, Angela of Campbellsville, Kevin Johns and wife, Betty of Smith’s Grove, Mitchell Johns and Melissa Hamilton and husband, Darrell of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; life partner, Roger Barlow of Frankfort; special friend, Sidney Fogle; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Shirley Larimore French of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Grandville Gilbert and Flossie Green Gilbert, was born February 10, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:52 P.M., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Elizabethtown. Age: 85
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Church of God.
Shirley was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She enjoyed shopping and yard sales, spending time with her grandchildren and traveling out and about with Cliff.
She united in marriage to James Harold Larimore December 4, 1954 and he preceded her in death August 5, 1992. She later united in marriage to Clifford E. French October 12, 1996.
Besides her husband, Clifford E. French of Campbellsville, Shirley is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Kathy Larimore of Campbellsville; two step-children: Twyla French of Louisville and Tony French of Massachusetts; four grandchildren: Drew Larimore of Campbellsville, Devin Larimore of Louisville, Blake Durrett and wife, Whitney of Tonieville and Andrea Shuffett and husband, Ashley of Green County; four step-grandchildren: Troy French and wife, Diana of Okinawa, Japan, Tracy French, Bryan French and Jason French of Louisville; four great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Wendell Gilbert and wife, Judy, Brenda Skaggs and husband, Twyman and Donna Burris and husband, Ernie of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Shirley was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Renee Durrett.

Beulah Netherland of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Rodman Mardis and Martie Moss Mardis, was born August 7, 1922 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 12:20 P.M., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Elizabethtown. Age: 99
She professed faith in Christ and was a stalwart of Good Hope Baptist Church where she was both the oldest and longest serving member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Over the years, Beulah served as Sunday School teacher, W.M.U. Director, Vacation Bible School worker and she and her family were the caretakers of the church for many years.
She loved serving large, home-cooked meals to her family when they gathered for special occasions. She also enjoyed working in flowers and talking to friends.
She united in marriage to James S. Netherland November 14, 1942 and he preceded her in death March 29, 2016.
Beulah is survived by one daughter and three sons: Janet Rafferty of Campbellsville, Jim Netherland and wife, Cindy of Columbia, Tennessee, Joey Netherland and wife, Maria of Newton, North Carolina and Jerry Netherland and wife, Jan of Leitchfield; ten grandchildren: James Netherland and wife, Maureen of Clarkston, Michigan, Donna Bownds and husband, Brian of Belton, Texas, Capt. Stephen Netherland and wife, Gerrylynn of Seoul Korea, Jon Rafferty and wife, Carrie of Anderson, South Carolina, Nicholas Rafferty of Richmond, Virginia, Matthew Netherland and wife, Lindsey of Campbellsville, Patrick Netherland of Hickory, North Carolina, Luke Hatfield and wife, Jenny of Leitchfield, Jordan Netherland and wife, Katie of Jackson, Missouri and Chelsi Allison and husband, Luke of Louisville; Beulah is also survived by many great and great-great-grandchildren that she cherished deeply and many cousins and other relatives and friends.
Beulah was also preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Chelsea Bownds May 27, 2013.
