Margaret Velma Bond of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Theodore Allen and Dona Hale Allen, was born April 24, 1942 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. She died at 5:45 P.M., Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 79
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church, where she was a former kindergarten Sunday School teacher. Working in her flower gardens, sewing and time with her family brought her great joy. She also enjoyed fishing and deer hunting.
Velma united in marriage to Curtis Bond June 2, 1962 and he preceded her in death November 22, 2019.
She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Jones and Gina Byrd and husband, Donnie Wayne; one granddaughter, Sara Gilpin Mardis and husband, Justin; one step-granddaughter, Ginny Lynn Byrd; two great-grandchildren: Addie Grace Mardis and Maxwell Mardis all of Campbellsville; one brother, Gillus Allen of Mt. Vernon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Velma was also preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters: Orba Allen, Gertrude Smith, Ruth Halcomb, Easie Allen, Laura Owens, Anna Lee Mullins, Delbert Allen, Virgil Allen, Marie Allen, William Allen, Willie Allen, Ted Allen, Jr., and Eddie Allen.

Cora Money Faulkner of Campbellsville, Kentucky was born August 19, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky. She was the fourth of nine children of the late George William Money and Commie Sullivan Money. She died peacefully on Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Campbellsville.
Cora professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. She was united in marriage on November 17, 1946 to Raymond Tye Faulkner, Jr., who preceded her in death August 14, 2015. They have two daughters and one son who survive: Sherry Fickling and husband, Kurt of Greenville, North Carolina, Olivia Kirtley and husband, Dr. Louis Ray Kirtley of Louisville, Kentucky, and Raymond Tye Faulkner III and wife, Cathy of St. Petersburg, Florida. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren: Tye Fickling (Marjorie), Will and Clark of Goldsboro, North Carolina; Joel Fickling (Susan), Matts and Griffin of Charlotte, North Carolina; Wade Fickling (Beth), Gray and Thomas of Morehead City, North Carolina; Chris Kirtley (Katie), Rhett, Kathryn and Annie of Atlanta, Georgia; Andrew Kirtley of Menlo Park, California; Tyler Kirtley (Joanna), Ella and Zoe of Newton, Massachusetts; Ellen Huenink (Jeff), Maxwell of St. Petersburg, Florida and Sarah Bolhofner (Ross), Cora, Mark and Bair of Boca Raton, Florida.
Her grandchildren were her delight and called her “Mom”. They spent countless days and weeks visiting “Mom & Gan-Gan” in Campbellsville and often taking long road trips with them. Her great-grandchildren were also frequent visitors and called her “Chocolate Chip Mom” because of her famous chocolate chip cookies that were dependably ready on their arrival.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, one of her greatest joys was spending time with all her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. The family get-togethers were frequent and festive, filled with wonderful food, laughter and playful competition to be the center of attention. Preceding her in death were three sisters and two brothers: Agnes Warren, Annas Coleman, Lois McAnelly, Parson Money and Gene Money, as well as 3 nephews. She is survived by two sisters and one brother: Eleanor Hedgespeth (Lilburn) of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Sue Sandidge (Terry) and George Money (Sue Ellen) of Buffalo, Kentucky, along with 21 nieces and nephews, including Vicki Money, who was her “angel” caregiver over the past few years.
Cora’s talents were many. She generously used them to serve and enhance the lives of others. She loved to cook, sew, quilt, make beautiful Christmas stockings for family and friends, host gatherings in her home, and generally make people happy and feel loved. She cherished her friends and shared her light with all she came in contact. Cora never let her age define her, remaining stylish and active into her 90s. There are many who thought of her as a second mother and speak fondly of all the life lessons and skills they learned from her. While she outlived most of her peers by many years, she remained rich with friends across many generations.
Celebration of Cora’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Campbellsville Christian Church. Visitation begins at 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm conducted by Dr. Paul Patton and Dr. Joel Patton.

John Mitchel Owen “Bam” Carney of Campbellsville, son of June Gabehart Carney and the late Ronnie “Don” Carney, was born September 30, 1969 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:02 A.M., Saturday, July 17, 2021 in Lexington . Age: 51
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of 3 Trees Church.
Bam was an educator, having taught and coached at Taylor County, Campbellsville Independent, and Washington County School Systems.
He was elected in 2009 as a State Representative in the 51st District where he served until his passing.
Bam is survived by two sons: Chase Carney of Seattle, Washington and Ethan Carney of Campbellsville, his mother, June Carney of Campbellsville; four brothers and sisters: LaDonna Willis and husband, Tony of Columbia, Shane Carney and wife, Pam of Casey Creek, Mark Carney and wife, Kelly, and Amy Farmer and husband, Mark of Campbellsville; seven nieces and nephews: Keri Burton and husband, Ryan, Kyle Willis, Shanna Carney, Daniel Carney, Shelby Hinton and husband, Jordan, Mackenzie Carney, and Kylee Farmer; several aunts and uncles and many other relatives and friends.

Lawrence Edward “Sonny” Lyons of Campbellsville, son of the late William Leslie Lyons and Floye Marie Enyard Lyons, was born November 30, 1940 in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 1:59 A.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 80
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
He was a retired construction employee and mechanic.
Favorite past times were coon hunting and playing music with his friends.
Sonny united in marriage to Phyllis Hicks July 11, 1981.

William Enoch “Bill” Perkins of Campbellsville, son of the late Enoch Perkins, Jr. and Alice Chesser Perkins, was born January 17, 1954 in Washington County, Kentucky. He died at 8:48 A.M., Monday, July 5, 2021 in Campbellsville.
Age: 67
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He was a retired quality engineer.
Bill united in marriage to Wanda Barnett Atwell May 14, 1983.
Besides his wife, Wanda Perkins of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter, Tanya Perkins of Campbellsville; two sisters: Betty Wohner and husband, Joe of Springfield and Debbie Boblett of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a step-son, Jimmy Atwell and two sisters: Carol Howell and Kathy Harper.
