Helen Magdalene Johnson Akridge, daughter of the late Aubrey Johnson and Mary Campbell Johnson was born on November 29, 1924, in Taylor County, Kentucky, and died peacefully in her home in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on Friday, January 22, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. She was 96.
Helen professed faith in Christ at an early age and lived her life in accordance to those beliefs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Campbellsville.
She married Chester F. Akridge on September 27, 1946, and he preceded her in death on November 20, 1992. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage in which they had six children, thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A homemaker all her life, Helen later retired from the Taylor County School System. She had a love of farm living, rock collecting and traveling to various places around the world. Gifted in quilting, embroidery, needlepoint, and sewing, she spent many hours creating beautiful items to share with family and friends.
Helen is survived by five children: Alfred Akridge (Diane) of Buffalo, Kentucky, Sherry Enlow (Paul) of Rockmart, Georgia, Paul Akridge (Jackie) of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Beti Turner (Terry Nunn) of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, Annette Jefferson (Tom) of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and daughter-in-law Cheryl Akridge of Campbellsville, Kentucky; grandchildren: Greg Enlow (Julia Handrick) of Grorinderfeld, Germany, Ryan Enlow (JoEllen DuBois) of Glendale Heights, Illinois, Daniel Enlow (Nikki) of Glendale, Kentucky, Jan Enlow (Kristin) of Rockmart, Georgia, Jason Akridge (Jennifer) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Holly Akridge (Patty Rosser) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Gretchen Lawson (Adam) of Hoagland, Indiana, Alicia Akridge of Sonora, Kentucky, Andrew Akridge (Stacey) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Mariah Akridge (Matt Atwood) of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Austin Turner (Sarah) of Plains, Montana, Sarah Jefferson of Campbellsville, Kentucky, and Mary Jefferson of Navarre, Florida; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and one sister, Shirley Rose of Lexington, Kentucky,
In addition to her husband, Chester, she was preceded in death by son David F. Akridge, son-in-law Al Turner, brothers Robert “Bob” Johnson, James “Jimmy” Johnson, and sister Peggy Jo Price.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Services will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 11:00 am EST at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Kentucky. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am EST, with Facebook Live accessibility available throughout the duration.
Graveside services will follow on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 11:00 am EST at the Memorial Garden’s Chapel of Peace.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hosparus Health of Green River and/or The Gideon’s International through Parrott & Ramsey.

Clodean Giles of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Glenn Campbell and Claudia Harden Campbell, was born April 23, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:48 A.M., Friday, January 22, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Church of God faith.
She united in marriage to J. C. “Curly” Giles July 9, 1947 and he preceded her in death
December 9, 2017.
Clodean was loved by everyone who met her and was known to be a kind and generous person and a great and loving mother.
She also loved working in her flowers.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Gary Giles and wife, Jenny of Greensburg, Dianne Wood and husband, Jerry of Elk Horn and Roger Giles of Lebanon; five grandchildren:
Gene Giles and wife, Jennifer of Goshen, Allison Warren and husband, Greg of Campbellsville, Melissa Surratt and husband, Jeremy of Greensburg and Jordan Giles and Jacob Giles of Lebanon; three great-grandchildren: Katie Grace Giles, Tyler Thompson and Izabella McKinney; one step-granddaughter, Emily Ray and husband, Dustin of Hodgenville; two step-great-grandsons: Arai Ray and Datsun Ray; one brother, Skip Campbell and wife, Jan of Glasgow; three sisters-in-law: Charlotte Kinardy of Bowling Green, Doris Campbell of Elizabethtown and Pat Campbell of Kansas and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Clodean was preceded in death by a grandson, Byron Wood and two brothers and one sister: Ransell Campbell, Shannon Campbell and Bardaria Bland.

Dwight Phillips Sandidge

Dwight Phillips Sandidge of Campbellsville, son of the late Daniel Dwight Sandidge and Mary Phillips Sandidge was born February 28, 1929 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Campbellsville. Age: 91
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Lou Hord Sandidge.
He made a profession of faith in Christ at Greensburg Presbyterian Church and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church in Campbellsville.

He was retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairy.
Dwight served in the United States Navy, was an avid golfer and lifetime member of Campbellsville Country Club.

Dwight is survived by the following: a daughter, Beth (Sammy) Levinson, of Boynton Beach, Florida, and a son, Ben (Suzanne) Sandidge of Danville, a sister, Helen Sandidge Underwood of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Jess (Clara) Sandidge of Campbellsville, Brook (Scott) Hollis of Georgetown, Indiana, Samantha Sandidge of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Mackenzie Sandidge of Lexington, Meggan (Will) Graham of Lexington and Erin (Brian) Lanpear of Bowling Green; five great-grandchildren: Keaton and Lola Hollis and Reid, Collins and Bishop Graham.
