David Eugene “Sonny” Colvin of Shepherdsville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of Mary Aileen Melton Colvin and the late Kenneth Colvin, was born September 27, 1947 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at12:31P.M., Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Louisville. Age: 73
He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was a retired machinist specialist at C Lee Cook.
Sonny was a loving father and grandfather who always made sure his family was taken care of. He was also a Mason and was able to participate with his father and son in Masonic activities.
His favorite hobby was restoring cars and attending car shows. He made many good friends through his involvement with the cars.
Sonny is survived by one daughter and two sons: Michelle Milby and husband, Dennis of Summersville, Allen Colvin and wife, Jennifer of Hart County and Michael Colvin and wife Brandy of Louisville; six grandchildren: Dustin Milby, Michael Aaron Colvin, Meredith Anne Colvin, Casey Rena Colvin, Addison Grace Colvin and Scarlett Elizabeth Colvin; his mother, Mary Aileen Melton Colvin of Campbellsville; two sisters: Joyce Ann Colvin and Paula Hunt of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
VISITATION: 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday following social distancing guidelines and
masks are required. According to Public Health Guidelines food is not allowed in
during public visitation.

Charlie Herman Huber, 92, passed away in Frankfort, KY, on 2/24/21. He was known as “Herman” by his family and as “Charlie” by extended family and friends. Charlie lived a long life dedicated to Lord. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Louisville where he served as a deacon for many years. Charlie considered it his mission to be a witness to anyone who crossed his path. He was known to many by his signature cowboy hat and his magic tricks, which he used as a means of witnessing to others.
Charlie was born near White Hill, Kentucky, later moving to Marion County. Charlie told others of how he began working at the age of 11 and worked “his whole life.” He held jobs such as hauling ice to homes with “ice boxes,” drove trucks hauling lumber, and eventually worked supporting his family at Blue Grass Cooperage in Louisville where he retired in 1990. In retirement he stayed busy mowing yards in Louisville and his beloved home away from home on “The Ridge” in Raywick. He also mowed for his nephew Danny’s properties in Campbellsville. He continued mowing until he moved to Frankfort to be near his daughters. As a Frankfort resident he spent many fun-filled days at the Capital City Activity Center for Seniors where he had many friends. Charlie will be missed by family and friends.
Charlie is survived by his daughters, Diann Shuffett Ashcraft (Brett Ashcraft) and Danetta Mattingly (Dan Mattingly); grandchildren Miranda Baker (Tyler Baker), William Shuffett, Hope Cash (Robert), Robin LeCureux (Jeremy), Amara Mattingly, Nathan Mattingly; great grandchildren Chasity Fowler, Brynlee Baker, Carter Baker, Anna Blankenship, Aaron Blankenship.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Jestine Stumph Huber, parents William and Alice Huber, and siblings Sherman Huber, Dewey Huber, Al Huber, Mattie Miller, Osa Hunt, Dora Morris, Flora Tungate, and four other siblings prior to Charlie’s birth. Pallbearers included: William Shuffett, Tyler Baker, Robert Cash, Brett Ashcraft, Dan Mattingly, Danny Huber.
The family would like to thank the Capital City Activity Center for their care and support of him in his final years. Gratitude is also extended to Morning Pointe (Frankfort), Heritage Hall (Lawrenceburg), Frankfort Regional Medical Center, and Bluegrass Hospice Care for their support and kindness in his final days.

Jean Button, daughter of the late Chester Ray Morris and Nellie Jones Morris, was born July 29, 1937 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 6:01 A.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Campbellsville. Age: 83
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Separate Baptist Church.
Jean was a retired OR Surgical Tech with Taylor Regional Hospital for thirty years and was a bus monitor with Campbellsville Independent School System for fifteen years.
Jean enjoyed fishing, going to stock car races, watching Westerns and The Price is Right. She also loved spending time with her family and her time spent being a bus monitor.
She united in marriage to James Davidson and he preceded her in death. She later united in marriage to Gerald G. Button October 1, 1970 and he preceded her in death March 17, 1988.
Jean is survived by one son and one daughter: Lois Campbell and husband, James of Campbellsville and Russell Martin of Hodgenville; one step-son, Charles Anthony Button; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Robert Morris and wife, Carol of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Carlis Davidson February 6, 2012 and James Davidson, Jr. in 1999 and one brother, Raymond Morris in infancy.

Janet Cox, daughter of the late George Scudder and Lena Harcourt Scudder, was born December 19, 1944 in St. Omer, Indiana. She died at 7:20 P.M., Monday, February 15, 2021 in Somerset. Age: 76
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, doing puzzles and watching westerns.
She united in marriage to Willard Cox and he preceded her in death July 6, 2002.
She is survived by two sons: James Cox and wife, Amanda of Nancy and Walter Imel of Shelbyville, Indiana; two stepsons: Bobby Cox of Campbellsville and Paul Cox and wife, Cedell of Shepherdsville; two grandsons: Carson Cox and Carter Cox of Nancy; two sisters: Helen Hudson of Ferdinand, Indiana and Paulette McDonald and husband, Wilson of St. Omer, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one stepdaughter and two stepsons: Gay Reed, Don Cox and James O’Neal Cox; three brothers and two sisters: Robert Scudder, Dennis Scudder, Gene Scudder, Laverna Scudder and Cathy Robinson.

William “Bill” Morrison of Campbellsville, son of the late John Wesley Morrison and Dessie Wright Morrison, was born May 10, 1937 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:40 P.M., Monday, February 15, 2021 in Hodgenville. Age: 83
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Covenant Ministries.
Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era having served in Germany.
He was the retired owner and operator of Bill’s Camper & Dixon Mowers for more than thirty years. He graduated from Barber School and worked as a barber for several years before moving to Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Josie Cox August 24, 1963.
Bill’s main hobby was playing the guitar and his family considered him to be a good husband, Dad and Pa.
Besides his wife, Josie Morrison of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Donna Morrison of New Albany, Indiana; one granddaughter, Emily Elise Morrison of New Albany, Indiana; one brother, Howard Morrison and wife, Sharon of California; three sisters-in-law: Floye Marple and Stella Morrison of Campbellsville and Eula Morrison of Albany; one brother-in-law, R. J. Overton of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: James A. Morrison, Charles Morrison, Edward Morrison, Elton Morrison and Nancy Baldock Overton.
