Frances Cundiff Johnson

Frances Johnson 002Frances Cundiff Johnson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Horace Cundiff and Victoria Hughes Cundiff, was born in Adair County, Kentucky July 22, 1924. She died Wednesday morning, October 8, 2014 in Elizabethtown.      Age:   90.

She was a lifelong Christ follower and a graduate of Centre College, class of 1946, with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

She married Doug Johnson, her childhood sweetheart, January 2, 1945. He preceded her in death June 28, 1989.

Her vocations and avocations included church and school librarian, church secretary, volunteer at The Daughter’s of American Revolution, cofounder of Dewure High School in Zinbabwe high school teachering, publisher at Central Africa Mission Evangelistic Literature Service and an avid supporter of Central African Mission with whom she spent 30 years in Zimbabwe.

She is survived by three sons: Dr. Mark Cundiff Johnson and wife, Marcia Snider Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, Lynn Hughes Johnson and wife, Dr. Sally Sperring of Ellettsville, Indiana and Peter Martin Johnson and wife, Karen Cole Johnson of Elizabethtown.

Seven grandchildren: Katharine Powell and husband, Andy of Cincinnati, Aaron Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, Elizabeth McConaghy and husband, Kyle of Los Angeles, Savannah Atlas and husband, Rees of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Sylva Johnson of Bloomington, Indiana, Andrew Johnson and wife, Emily of Elizabethtown and Anna Johnson of Elizabethtown.

Two great-grandchildren: Ben Powell and Jack Powell.

Two brothers-in-law: David Lewis Johnson and wife, Norma Jean and Norman Allen Johnson of Campbellsville

Nieces and nephews of Campbellsville, Frankfort, Seattle and Washington D.C. and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Walker of Columbia.

Kathy Munford 002Kathy Munford of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William F. Buckler and Barbara Baute Weeks, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, January 21, 1951. She died at 12:15 P.M., Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Campbellsville.     Age:   63

She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

She was a retired employee of Kerr Insurance Agency and Jessie Insurance Agency.

She united in marriage to Donnie R. Munford, Sr. June 11, 1977. He preceded her in death October 10, 2003.

She is survived by one son and one daughter: Chris Wright and friend, Kelly Smoot and Shannon Beach and husband, Troy of Campbellsville; four step-children: Donnie Munford, Jr. and wife, Debbie of Campbellsville, Danny Munford and wife, Lisa of Bowling Green, Lisa Munford of Louisville and Stephen Munford of Georgetown, Indiana; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters: Tommy Buckler and wife, Wanda, Bill Buckler and wife, Arlene, Aileen Thompson and husband, Jimmy, and Therese Tatum and husband, Terry of Lebanon, Richard Buckler and wife, Lisa of Louisville, and Becky Bixler and husband, Darryl of Georgetown, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Robert “Doggie” Walters of Campbellsville, son of the late James Walters and Mattie Pierce Walters, was born February 3, 1937, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:04 P.M., Tuesday, September 30, 2014 in Campbellsville.            Age: 77

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of GE after twenty-seven years of service.

He united in marriage to Carolyn Harrison July 6, 1973.

Besides his wife, Carolyn Harrison Walters, he is survived by one daughter, Robin Michelle Walters of Campbellsville; two brothers: Larry Walters and wife, Diane and Eddie Walters and wife, Linda of Campbellsville; special cousin, Tammie Baumgardner of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and a lifelong farmer.

He united in marriage to Bonnie Cox December 26, 1955.

Besides his wife, Bonnie Wooley, he is survived by four sons and one daughter: Shirley Arnold Wooley and wife, Tina and Donald Wooley and wife, Donna of Elk Horn, Ronald Lee Wooley and wife, Lucy of Campbellsville, Roger Keith Wooley and friend, Marsha Roof and Bonnie Wicker and husband, Larry of Elk Horn; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Roy Wooley and wife, Doris of Liberty, Wilbur Wooley and wife, Jerri of Louisville and Mary Jo Sneed of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Thelbert Wooley April 17, 2011 and one brother and five sisters: Bill Wooley, Opal Tungate, Annie Perkins, Myrtle Morris, Nellie Tungate and Lucille Wood.

Fred Neat 001Fred Neat of Campbellsville, son of Ruby Dye Neat and the late Finis Neat, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, December 24, 1944. He died Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Campbellsville.   Age:   69

He retired from Komatzu in Peoria, Illinois and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Lodge #0158 AFL-CIO.

He is survived by one daughter and three sons: Jodi Sparks and husband, Jason , Bobby Neat and Eddie Neat and wife, Telisa of Indiana and Freddie Neat and wife, Audrey of Chico, California; ten grandchildren; his mother: Ruby Neat of Campbellsville; seven sisters and six brothers: Barbara Moore and Jolene Shirrell of Campbellsville, Alene Long of Liberty, Wanell Porier of Clearwater, Florida, Patsy Neat, Joann McDaniel and Randall Neat of New Port Richey, Florida, Wilma Burton of Palm Harbor, Florida, Edward Neat of Hamilton, Ohio, Frank Neat of Russell Springs, Elba Neat and Wilbert Neat of Elkhorn and Coy Neat of Buffalo; several nieces and nephews and many other relative and friends.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Leona Scholl, Shirley Abner and Mary Neat.
