Margaret Eaton of Glasgow, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Wesley Barlow and Mary Ellen Jones Barlow, was born in Monroe County, Kentucky, February 9, 1922.  She died at 12:40 P.M., Sunday, August 18, 2013 in Glasgow.     Age:    91

She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

She united in marriage to Rev. Thurman Eaton January 3, 1944.  He preceded her in death May 11, 1990.

She is survived by two sons:  Cary Eaton and significant other, Candy of Glasgow and Jeff Eaton and wife, Julie of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren:  Kim Wyatt of Glasgow, Missy Martin and husband, Kevin of Horse Cave, Andrew Eaton and Laura Cannon and husband, Tom of Lexington; four great-grandchildren:  Garrett Wyatt, Corbin Wyatt, Cully Martin and Maddie Martin; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Charles Lee Cowherd

Charles Lee Cowherd of Campbellsville, son of the late William Turner Cowherd and Sallie Matt Gaddie Cowherd, was born February 8, 1920 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:28 A.M., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in Elizabethtown.

Age: 93

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was carpenter and a farmer.

He united in marriage to Audrey Reynolds November 24, 1944.

Besides his wife, Audrey Cowherd of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons and their spouses: Cora and James Renfro of Columbia, Charles Vernon and Carolyn Cowherd and Eddie and Patsy Cowherd of Campbellsville; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Cowherd Matney of Greensburg; eleven grandchildren: Anthony Cowherd, Brian Cowherd and wife, Shonda, Dwight Renfro and wife, Renee, Jaime Renfro, Jessica Settles and husband, Jeremy, Caitlyn Cowherd, Bret Cowherd, Aylette Cowherd, Ceyley Cowherd, Ceeanna Cowherd and Zoe Cowherd; three great-grandchildren: Hunter Cowherd, Addison Cowherd and Bryce Cowherd; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Wayne “Red” Cowherd June 6, 2006 and three brothers: Archie Cowherd, Aylette Cowherd and James Turner Cowherd.

Virginia Caulk of Elizabethtown, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ellis Akin and Carrie Bale Akin, was born in Green County, Kentucky, February 5, 1921. She died at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, August 11, 2013, in Elizabethtown.  Age:  92

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church.

She was a retired beautician.

She united in marriage to Walter “Jiggs” Caulk December 21, 1938. He preceded her in death March 14, 2002.

She left to cherish her memory, her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Fred Clem of Elizabethtown; one granddaughter, Laura Hess and husband, Matthew of Elizabethtown; two great-grandsons: Tanner Creighton Hess and Sawyer Matthew Hess; one brother, Russell Akin of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Moss September 10, 2012.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Faith Family Ministries.

She united in marriage to Bro. Daniel S. Hunt Sr. May 23, 1968.

Besides her husband, Bro. Dan Hunt of Oak Grove, with Faith Family Ministries and former pastor of ElkHorn Baptist Church and Beech Grove Baptist Church in Campbellsville, Kentucky, she is survived by one daughter and two sons: Marci Elizabeth Hunt of Oak Grove, Kentucky, Joshua Carl Hunt of Louisville, and Danny Hunt and wife, Alecia of Burlington, Kentucky; two grandsons: Trey Hunt and Cade Hunt; one sister and two brothers: Linda Carson and husband, Ken of Columbus, Ohio, Walter (Butch) Morrison and wife, Shirley of Muncie, Indiana, and Dennis Morrison and wife, Sheila of Worthington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Vandergriff.

Lois Bailey of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry Calvert and Mary Tharp Calvert, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, September 18, 1927. She died at 9:33 P.M., Friday, August 9, 2013 in Campbellsville.     Age:    85

She professed faith in Christ and was member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church.

She was a retired nursing assistant.

She united in marriage to John E. Bailey June 8, 1958. He preceded her in death July 30, 2003.

She is survived by one daughter and one son: Lisa Thomas and husband, John and Jack Bailey and wife, Becky of Campbellsville; two step-children: Elizabeth Trendel and husband, James of Lansing, Michigan and Johnny Bailey of Washington, DC; four grandchildren: Alan Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Allison Bailey, and Chad Wilson and wife Sharon; five step-grandchildren: Chris Trendel, Jason Trendel, Debbie Derosia, Tara Sanders, and Brandon Thomas; three great-grandchildren: Connor Bailey, Sophia Caroline Wilson and Lillian Camille Wilson; one sister: Helen Winningham of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers: Lucille Moran, Naomi Hourigan, Dixie Staley, Billy Calvert, and James Calvert.
