Ayden Xzavier Jackson of Campbellsville, infant son of Amanda Louise Jackson and Clint Daugherty, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 19, 2012.  He died at 4:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Campbellsville.

Age:    4 months

He is survived by his mother, Amanda Louise Jackson of Campbellsville; his father, Clint Daugherty of Mt. Vernon; his maternal grandmother, Ramona Jackson of Campbellsville; two aunts, Brittany Jackson and Nicole Barnett of Campbellsville; two uncles:  Levi Brockman and Dennis Lamer of Campbellsville; several other relatives and friends.

Jean Jaynes

Jean Jaynes of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Roy Clarke and Zelma Humphrey Clarke,  was born June 30, 1934, in Adair County, Kentucky.  She died at 7:51 P.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Louisville.  Age: 78

She was a retired Nurses Aide.

She united in marriage to Kermit Jaynes March 12, 1949.  He preceded her in death July 21, 2005.

She is survived by two daughters:  Gwen Robinson and husband, Gary of Lawrenceburg and Pamela Barber and husband, Denny of Louisville; seven grandchildren:  Lisa Cowherd of Campbellsville, Jason White, Jonathon White, Melissa Barber and Corey Barber of Louisville, Erin Robinson of Lexington and Amanda Finnegan of Issaquah, Washington; seven great-grandchildren:  Austin Chandler, Aaron White, Aiden White, Caden Cowherd, Kelsie Bowling, Julian Roscoe and Bennett White;  four step-grandchildren:  Pam White, Michelle White Bruner, Terri Kirkland and Laura Flamini; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna White December 10, 2004 and a granddaughter, Stephanie Barber.

Gladys Shipp Pennington of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ander Smith and Mary E. Perkins Smith, was born January 25, 1925, in Washington County, Kentucky.  She died at 11:01 P.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2013 in Campbellsville.   Age: 88

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She was a member of the Pitman Chapter #157 Order of the Eastern Star and the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary.

She united in marriage to John Edgar Shipp, who preceded her in death May 1959.

She united in marriage to Robert C. “Bob” Deener July 7, 1961.  He preceded her in death June 17, 1987.

She united in marriage to Joe Pennington October 23, 1992.  He preceded her in death December 2, 2002.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Mary Shipp of Campbellsville; two sons-in-law:  Louis Shipp and Pete Daugherty of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren:

Brian Pickard and wife, Tiffany, Charlotte “Cricket” Willis and husband, David, Janet Woodcox and husband, Tim and Jessica Samuell and husband, Kevin of Campbellsville, John T. Shipp and wife, Leah and Pennye Parsons and husband, Steve of Greenwood, Indiana, Toni Brock and husband, Andy of Peru, Indiana and Eddy Cox and wife, Dawn of Atlanta, Georgia; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister:  Tommy Smith of Lebanon and Faye Yankey of Springfield; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two daughters:  Peggy Noel Shipp November 18, 2001 and Joyce Daugherty January 10, 2010; one great-grandson, Wesley Aaron Cox Kelsay July 30, 1992 and three brothers:  Richard Smith, Lester Smith and James Smith.

James W. Barnett of Campbellsville, son of the late Baskell Barnett and Ina  Weatherford Barnett,  was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 4, 1933.  He died at 9:10 P.M., Sunday, April 21, 2013, in Campbellsville.

Age:    79

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.

He was a lifelong farmer for many years.

He is survived by several aunts and cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Rachel Phillips of Magnolia, daughter of the late Oco Harris and Luriee Withers Harris was born January 24, 1943 in Russell County, Kentucky. She died at

11:10 P.M., Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Louisville.               Age: 70

She professed faith in Christ and attended Mt. Mariah Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Bobby Phillips March 7, 1964.

Besides her husband, Bobby Phillips of Magnolia, she is survived by one daughter, MaryLois Garr of Magnolia; two granddaughters, Rebecca Ann Chancellor and husband, Chris of Lexington and MaryLynn Louise Garr of Magnolia; one great-grandson Thomas James Choate of Lexington and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rachel Luriee Kays.
