William Fredrick Hoy of Campbellsville, son of the late William Hoy and Ruby O’Banion Hoy was born in Utica, Ohio, March 9, 1936. He died at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2013 in Campbellsville. Age: 76
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Navy for some twenty-one years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He retired from Ingersoll-Rand Company after seventeen years and then helped Roberts Landscaping eight years.
He united in marriage to Marcella White June 20, 1956.
Besides his wife, Marcella Hoy of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons: Sheila Coomes and husband, Ron of Daphne, Alabama, Joe Hoy and wife, Wanda Sue of Berea, Kentucky, and Gary Hoy and wife, Shannon of Sharpsburg, Georgia; seven grandchildren: William Thomas Hoy, Jennifer Leigh-anne Hoy, Joseph Michael Hoy, Phillip Hunter Coomes, Morgan Ashley Coomes, Olivia Caitlin Hoy, and Rachel Alexandria Hoy; two sisters: Ila Berry and husband, John of Sunbury, Ohio and Annie Hoy of Newark, Ohio; several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother in infancy.

Rodger Abel Monson of Campbellsville, son of the late George S. Monson and Jewell Miller Monson, was born June 13, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:30 P.M., Friday, March 1, 2013 in Campbellsville. Age: 74
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.
He was a graduate of the Kentucky Military Institute in 1956 and served his country honorably in the United States Army as a cryptologist and attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He was retired in the field of sales after many years in merchantile trade.
He united in marriage to Peggy Ellis Williams November 12, 1988.
Besides his wife, Peggy Williams Monson, he is survived by two daughters: Debbi Sweat and husband, John and Cindy Marer and husband, Pete of Bradenton, Florida; Peggy’s three children: Laura Williams Agee and Milton Ellis Williams and wife, Carla of Campbellsville and Myra Williams Oliver and husband, Rick of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters: Ashley Marer and Kaitlyn Marer; Peggy’s five grandchildren: Drew Bryant and wife, KaAnn, Alexia Williams, Sydney Agee, Raquel Williams, and Stone Williams; sister-in-law, Jeff Malone and husband, Mike of Louisville; several other relatives and friends.

Roger Thomas Land of Campbellsville, son of the late Tommy Land and Nellie Noel Land, was born August 16, 1942 in Casey County, Kentucky. He died at 10:27 A.M., Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Campbellsville. Age: 70
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Living Grace Church.
He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom after forty-two years of service.
He united in marriage to Anita Cox February 4, 1961.
Besides his wife, Anita Land of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Mitchell Thomas Land and wife, Lisa of Louisville and Melinda DeSpain and husband, Kevin of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Brandon Thomas Humphries, Tara Wallace and Carrie Jo DeSpain; four great-grandchildren: Traxton Thomas Wallace, Dalton Cox, Landon Cox and Tatum Caulk; three sisters and one brother: Jo Colvin and husband, Richard of Campbellsville, Sharon Spear and husband, Homer of Liberty, Sandy DeHart and husband, Bill of Winchester and Donald Land and wife, Shirley of Liberty; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Virginia Shipp of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Elmer Franklin and Elsie Keltner Franklin, was born September 16, 1923, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:10 P.M., Monday, February 25, 2013 in Greensburg. Age: 89
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bethel First Presbyterian Church.
She united in marriage to Oscar Shipp December 24, 1941. He preceded her in death January 6, 2009.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Dr. Robert Shipp and wife, Linda and Linda Shofner and husband, Bobby of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Scott Shipp and wife, Andrea and Samantha Shipp of Campbellsville and Robert Adam Shipp of Elizabethtown; five great-grandchildren: Mason Shipp, Addison Shipp, Skyler Shipp, Charles Ryan “Kade” Wichmann and Cameron Wichmann; two sisters: Lucille Brockman and husband, Charles of Campbellsville and Christine Eschmann of Denton, Texas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Shipp June 12, 2008 and one brother and one sister: Robert Huston Franklin and Audrey Johnston.

She is survived by her parents, David and Jennifer Carter Harmon of Campbellsville; two sisters, Cheyanne Rose Harmon and Kayla Mae Harmon of Campbellsville; one step-sister, Alisha Harmon of Horse Cave; maternal grandmother, Lois Ann Carter of Campbellsville; parternal grandparents, Larry and Lettie Harmon of Greensburg and great-grandmother, Ivanelle Burris of Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Carter.
