Marian R. Newton

Marian R. Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ralph G. Wilson and Edna Myrtle Williams Wilson, was born December 25, 1937 in Taylor County.  She died at 9:10 P.M., Monday, October 16, 2023 in Campbellsville.      Age:  85

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Methodist Church.  Marian was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. She united in marriage to Willard Lewis Newton November 18, 1982. Marian was loved by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Besides her husband, Willard Newton of Campbellsville, she is survived by one son and one daughter: Terry M. Keltner and wife, Janee, and Jill Blakeman and husband, David of Campbellsville; two step-daughters and one step-son:  LaDonna Lobb and husband Jerry, Rhonda Gaines and Michael Newton and wife, Mila; fifteen grandchildren: Jarrod Keltner and wife Whitley of Lexington, Shane Keltner and wife Tracy of Midway, Paige Hord and husband Shaun of Campbellsville, Mendi Booton and husband Heath of Ft. Thomas, Stephanie Clenney and husband Ryan of Campbellsville, Matti Blakeman of Lexington, Billy Newton and wife Casey of Lebanon, Carrie Thompson and husband Jeremy of Campbellsville, Dylan Newton and wife Sydney of Campbellsville, Kim Ford and husband Todd of Campbellsville, Josh Gaines and wife, Brook of Campbellsville, Matt Gaines and wife Caroline of Louisville, Chris Lobb and wife Mary of Campbellsville, John Lobb and wife Veronica of Louisville and Greg Lobb and wife LaDonna of Campbellsville; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Roger Wilson and wife, Judy of Campbellsville, Sheila Judd and husband, Roger of Greensburg, and Gay Bright of Bardstown; two sisters-in-law: Ruby Wilson and Mary Wilson of Campbellsville; and a brother-in-law, Thomas R. McMahan of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Ruel H. “Sonny” Wilson, Ralph “Kenny” Wilson, J.W. Wilson and Ruth McMahan.

Mike Bowen

Mike Bowen of Campbellsville, son of the late Jerdon Robert (J.R.) Bowen and Bernice Mardis Bowen, was born February 13, 1955 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 7:55 P.M., Monday, October 16, 2023 in Campbellsville.      Age:  68

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elkhorn Methodist Church.

Mike loved his family dearly and was a proud PaPaw. He was a very loving and outgoing person with everyone and enjoyed helping anyone he could. He enjoyed spending his days working around his farm with cattle and going fishing.

He united in marriage to his best friend April Dawn Burton May 22, 1976.

Besides his wife, April Bowen, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Shelley Hamilton and husband Shawn of Cox’s Creek and Clay Bowen and fiancé Misty of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Blake Hamilton and Bailey Hamilton; one sister: Robin Bowen and husband Daniel Bucca of Alexandria, Virginia; one niece and one nephew: Emma Bucca and Joseph Bucca and many other relatives and friends.

Freida Noe Anderson

Freida Noe Anderson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Russ Druin and Venie Ree Franklin Druin, was born February 26, 1931 in Taylor County.  She died at 6:55 P.M., Sunday, October 15, 2023 in Greensburg.      Age:  92

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to E.A. “Strut” Noe in 1950 and he preceded her in death December 5, 1984.

She later united in marriage to Leonard “Ray” Anderson and he preceded her in death July 25, 2018.

Freida was a housewife all her life who enjoyed nothing more than to crochet, travel, cook, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by one son, Russ Noe and wife, Colleen of Campbellsville; three step-children: Brian Anderson and wife, Sandra of Boston, Massachusetts, Barry Anderson of Maine, and Karen Bennett and husband, Blake of Florida; one grandchild, Lindsay Michelle Phelps and husband, Ben of Lexington; and many other relatives and friends.

Charles Ancil Reynolds

Charles Ancil Reynolds of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Stanley Reynolds and Birdie Thompson Reynolds was born into this world February 14, 1931 in Marion County, Kentucky. He passed at 3:30 P.M., Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Campbellsville.     Age: 92

He professed faith in Christ as a young boy was baptized and was of the Baptist Faith.

Ancil was a well known successful businessman in Campbellsville. He owned and operated Ancil Reynolds Used Cars which he started in 1954. Before the car business when younger he farmed and worked nights at Fruit Of The Loom while starting the car business.  He retired in 1996 and the business is still in operation with two of his sons as owners.

He served his country honorably in the National Guard.

Ancil was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Father-in-law, Brother-in-law, and Friend. He enjoyed being with family, traveling, playing Rook with friends, spending winters in Florida with his wife, Jewell, camping, car racing, shopping and boating

He united in marriage to Jewell Dean Lemmon December 24, 1949. She preceded him in death March 21, 2010.

He is survived by five sons and one daughter: Michael Reynolds and wife, Patti of Campbellsville,  Libby Fudge and husband, Billy Joe of Columbia, Terry Reynolds and wife, Ellen, Duane Reynolds and wife, Margaret, Steven Reynolds and wife, Patty and Todd Reynolds and wife, Vonda all of Campbellsville; fourteen grandchildren: Michelle Herron , Michael Shawn Reynolds and  Shay Knifley of Columbia, Cameron Feese of San Diego, California, Prindle Hinton of Louisville, Brandon Reynolds and McCall Thompson of Campbellsville, Dustin Reynolds of Bowling Green, Tyler Reynolds, Joshua Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Drew Reynolds and Megan Bailey of Campbellsville and Jordan Reynolds  of  Lexington; thirty-two great-grandchildren; eight great-great- grandchildren; one brother, Darrel Reynolds; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Ancil was preceded in death by one brother and one sister, Conrad Reynolds and Mabel Warren.

Doris Jean Newton of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Malvin Benningfield and Willard Drury Benningfield, was born June 15, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:25 A.M., Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Campbellsville, Kentucky.   Age:  91

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pitman Valley Baptist Church.

Doris enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Doris is survived by two sons and two daughters: Mike Newton and wife, Linda, Johnny Newton and wife, Vickie, Rhonda Watson and husband, Carl and Julie Bruce and husband, Pat all of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister; Janice Thompson of Elkhorn; one sister-in-law, Lillie Benningfield Sherrill of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Doris was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Lyndon Benningfield, Don Benningfield, Monte Ray Benningfield, Berlin Benningfield and Shirley Ann Thompson.
