Carlos B. Anderson went to his eternal rest on Wednesday, 27 December 2023 at 6:50am. He was 86 years of age at his departure from the Hospice Comfort Care Center in Richmond, Kentucky.
Carlos was born on 10 March 1937 in Knob Lick, Kentucky (Metcalfe County). He was the son of Paul Preston Anderson and Opal Jeffries Anderson of Metcalfe County, Kentucky.
Carlos was a professor in higher education for over 30 years and taught at Campbellsville College, Sun Bennett College, and retired from the University of the Cumberlands in 2009.
He was a graduate of Louisville Male High School (KY), undergraduate degree from Georgetown College (KY), masters degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (KY), and masters degree from Washington University (MO).
Carlos was dedicated to his family, an ordained minister and teacher of Social Work.
He served in short-term ministries to Russia, Romania, Honduras, Chile, and Cuba.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Pearl Carpenter (Fleming County, KY) of Richmond, KY. He is also survived by his three (3) children: David Sabin Anderson and wife Maria Antonieta Ybarra residing in Chisinau, Moldova; Lisa Anderson (Spencer) of New York, NY; Dr. Steven Andrew Anderson and wife Kellie residing in London, KY. He was the cherished Grandfather of five (5) grandchildren: Sabin, Jacob, Ana Luisa, Gloria, and Coleman Anderson. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Judye Faye Anderson Hafling of Edmonton, KY.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Lloyd ‘Sonny’ Hafling.
Carlos was known for his quiet, kind, artistic, and fun-loving nature. He never met a bird or day that he did not love.
Funeral services for Carlos B. Anderson will be conducted on Saturday, 30 December 2023 at 1:00pm in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, London KY, with Roger Gobel officiating. Burial will follow in the London City Cemetery (A.R. Dyche Memorial Park) immediately following the services.
Live streaming of the funeral will be available via the Bowling Funeral Home website and Facebook page.
The family of Carlos B. Anderson will receive friends at the Bowling Funeral Home beginning 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday and at 11:00am on Saturday until the service hour of 1:00pm.

Lois Daffron of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Curtis Lee Nunn and Carrie Pearl Anderson Nunn, was born June 2, 1940 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 5:05 A.M., Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Columbia. Age: 83
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
Lois was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lois also enjoyed fishing. She never met a stranger and she took in anyone and everyone, becoming a stand-in mom whenever needed. There was always room at the table and plenty to eat, as cooking for family and friends was her love language. She saw the best in everyone. If you needed it, she’d find a way to get it. Lois loved the Lord and her family fiercely and she had a hotline to The Lord, Himself. Her prayers moved mountains and covered her whole family. The stories of her unconditional love, kindness and unselfishness will last forever. She is, certainly, resting in the arms of Our Lord.
She united in marriage to Tommy Daffron October 8, 1957 and he preceded her in death July 28, 2014.
Lois is survived by one son and two daughters: Terry Daffron and wife, Shari of Elk Horn and Carol Elmore and husband, Mike and Lee Ann Muncie and husband, Jeff of Campbellsville;
five grandchildren: Jessica Browning and husband, Jamie and Vanessa Smith and husband, Jason of Campbellsville, Tessa Collins of Louisville, Torri Daffron and Jeffery Muncie and wife, Lindsey of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren: Adrian Browning, Brianna Browning, Sophie Smith, Emi Smith, Marlee Smith, Ava Muncie and Cale Muncie; special friend, Charlie Shields; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Lois was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: Bobby Nunn, Harold Nunn, Leon Nunn, Larry Nunn and Norma Jean Rogers.
The family would like to thank Jennifer Thompson of Hosparus Health of Green River and the personnel and staff of Signature Health Summit Manor for the excellent care she received.

June Bishop of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Robert S. Holman and Ellen Joyner Holman, was born November 23, 1938 in Hardin County, Kentucky. She died at 5:56 P.M., Saturday, December 23, 2023 in Campbellsville. Age: 85
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a public school teacher and homemaker.
She was an active member of Campbellsville Baptist Church where she and her husband, Don, taught a Sunday School class for decades.
She was an active member of the Campbellsville Professional Women’s Club, and spent many years involved in the athletics department at Campbellsville College, now Campbellsville University.
June was the biggest cheerleader and supporter for her whole family, especially for her husband, Don. She often referred to him as her hero.
She has left a legacy of faith, beauty and grace that all women would aspire to have.
She united in marriage to Don Bishop July 7, 1957 and he preceded her in death December 27, 2017.
June is survived by two daughters: Robyn Lawless and husband, Randy and Susie Pollock and husband, Michael “Sarge” Pollock of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Luke Lawless and wife, Rebecca, Lincoln Lawless and significant other, Kelsi Tackett, Reagan Pollock Allen and husband, Blake and MeLeigha Pollock Milby and husband, Blake of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren: Fletcher Milby and EverLeigh Milby; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
June was also preceded in death by a twin brother, Jerry Holman.

Audrey Diane Caulk Bland of Campbellsville, daughter of the late W. R. “Dick” Caulk and Ermine Richerson Caulk, was born June 23, 1947 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in Greensburg. Age: 76
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark Methodist Church.
Diane attended college at Campbellsville University and was employed as a clerk at Kmart and Parks Belk.
She enjoyed reading and loved her cats and the Taylor County Public Library.
She is survived by cousins and caregivers, Lisa and Darren Wade of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.
Diane was also preceded in death by a daughter, Audra Denise Scott August 19, 2006; a brother, Randall Caulk May 26, 2010 and a half brother, Robert L. “Bobby” Caulk June 28, 2008.

Ralph Gooslin of Campbellsville, son of the late Jesse Gooslin and Goldie Mae Crawford Gooslin, was born May 30, 1945 in Thacker, West Virginia. He died at 12:55 A.M., Monday, December 18, 2023 in Elizabethtown. Age: 78
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Ralph was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter.
He united in marriage to Joyce Sherman who preceded him in death.
Ralph is survived by one brother and five sisters: Jesse Gooslin, Jr. and wife, Marie and Nanette Norris of Ohio, Dottie Roberts and husband, Gene of Alabama, Blanche Slaten and Delores Overstreet and husband, James of Illinois and Shannon Kraft of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Ralph was also preceded in death by two brothers: Tommy Gooslin and Arnold Gooslin.
