Eddie B. Childers of Campbellsville, son of the late Jim Logan Childers and Alta Lou Cox Childers, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 30, 1921. He died at 9:22 A.M., Monday, October 31, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 90
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.
He was retired from the Taylor County Board of Education and a farmer.
He united in marriage to Hallie Herron February 14, 1942.
Besides his wife, Hallie Herron Childers, he is survived by one daughter: Elaine Childers of Campbellsville; one grandson, Darren Childers of Atlanta, Georgia; one daughter-in-law, Brenda
Childers of Campbellsville; special friend, Betty Holt of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chuck Childers May 17, 2002 and one brother and three sisters: James Childers, Tressie Wood, Nona Burress
and Nellie Tucker.

Richard Dale Wilson, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of Richard “Rick” D. Wilson and Melody Gertz Isom, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, December 4, 1978. He died
at 10:56 P.M., Friday, October 28, 2011 in Bardstown as the result of an automobile/pedestrian collision in Campbellsville. Age: 32
He served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard and was a veteran of the Iraq War.
He is survived by his father, Richard “Rick” D. Wilson of Campbellsville; his mother and step-father, Melody and William Isom of Indianapolis, Indiana; his step-mother, Kathy Martin of

Charles Walker McBurney of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, formerly of Lexington, Kentucky, son of the late Ralph McBurney and Hazel Powers McBurney, was born in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, June
23, 1924. He died Saturday, October 22, 2011 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Age: 87
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
He was retired from McBurney Associates, an international marketing and management firm specializing in the direct selling industry. He held an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Alabama and from the Graduate School of journalism at Columbia University in New York City.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II, serving as a cryptographic
technician in the Pacific Theater.
Besides his wife, Nancy McCulloch McBurney, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Charles W. McBurney, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida and Michelle McBurney Hanchey of Duluth, Georgia; three nieces and one nephew: Lisa McBurney Brown of Memphis, Tennessee, Vivian McBurney Wilson of Fairhope, Alabama and Jane McBurney Burris of Nashville, Tennessee and David D. McBurney of Memphis, Tennessee; and many other relatives and friends in the Campbellsville area.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: George W. McBurney and Robert P. McBurney.

Ocie Hill Long of Virginia Beach, Virginia, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Henry Hill and Bettie Graham Hill, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, August 30,
1919. She died at 11:45 A.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Virginia Beach. Age: 92
She worked many years as a bookkeeper in Louisville, Lebanon and Campbellsville.
She was an avid gardener, quilter and long time member of the First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Howard Lewis of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren: Rebecca Pisel and husband, Chris of Norfolk, Virginia and Jeffrey Lewis
of Racine, Wisconsin; one brother, E. Mac Hill and wife, Fayetta of Campbellsville; two nieces and two nephews: Katy Blancett of Goshen, Kentucky, Amy Hill of Morgantown, West Virginia, Jim Hill of Louisville and Allan Hill of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Piercy Hill May 3, 1992 and Lenora Hill December 7, 1999.

Peggy Ware Pyles of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Cary U. Ware and Ida Pearl Coomer Ware, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, February 6, 1933. She died at 8:53 A.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 78
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was a long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, having been a Grand Representative and a Past Worthy Matron.
She united in marriage to Marzon Pyles November 23, 1956.
Besides her husband, Marzon Pyles, she is survived by one son and two daughters: Billy Pyles, Ivy Keen and friend, Steven Harris and Beth Murphy and husband, Jeff of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: James Broyles, Chad Skaggs and wife, Bonnie of Campbellsville, Mary Lynn Skaggs of Grayson County and William Broyles and wife, Angie of Lebanon; two step-grandchildren: Brock Murphy and Rayven Murphy of Olive Hill; five great-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Frances Elizabeth Pyles and three brothers and three sisters: William Ware, James Ware, Lennie Ware, Ruth Bradshaw Shope, Ivy Goff and Elizabeth Stone.
