Howard Durham

Howard Durham of Campbellsville, son of the late Lee Durham and Frances Bailey Durham, was born March 20, 1930, in McLean County, Illinois.  He died at 5:00 A.M., Monday, February 6, 2023 in Campbellsville.   Age:  92

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church, where he was a founding deacon and a Sunday School teacher.

Howard served his country honorably in the United States Navy and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He loved his family and the Lord.

He united in marriage to Rachel Nelson July 4, 1953.

Besides his wife, Rachel Durham of Campbellsville, Howard is survived by one son and one daughter:  Howard Durham, and wife, Carolyn of Campbellsville and Mazetta Harden and husband, Frank of Somerset; four grandchildren: Johnathon Durham and wife, Tesla and Amanda West and husband, Jeremy of Campbellsville, Chasidy Clements and husband, Charles of Bradfordsville and Nathaniel Harden and wife, Whitney of Somerset; ten great-grandchildren: Isabella Harden, Ava Harden, Adaline Harden, Anthony Clements, Nicholas Clements, Sierra Clements, Forrest Durham, Gavin West, Grant West and Elliot West; a sister, Judy Murphy of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters:  Martha Burress and Betty Carol Hall.

Leona Crain

Leona Crain of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Colman Kiper and Marie Carter Kiper, was born August 19, 1949 in Grayson County, Kentucky.  She died at 5:05 A.M., Thursday, February 2, 2023 in Campbellsville.    Age: 73

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Leona was a retired secretary at Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She loved being a grandma and loved her family dearly.

She is survived by one daughter and one son:  Lauren Gordon of Campbellsville and Ashley Crain of Oregon; four grandchildren:  Clayton Gordon, Jessalyn Gordon, Lena Gordon and Coleman Gordon; three sisters:  Helena Perry of Tennessee, Marietta Dennison and Regina Miller and husband, Merle of Indiana; former son-in-law, Johnny Gordon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Leona was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Kiper.

Linda Faye Boston

Linda Faye Boston Campbellsville formerly of Bowling Green, KY, was the daughter of the late Aubrey Smith and Hattie Smith.  Linda was born June 17, 1940 in Warren County Kentucky.  She departed this life at 6:05 AM Monday, January 31, 2023 in Campbellsville.  Age: 82 Linda Smith grew up in Bowling Green, KY where she met and married her life partner, Dempsey “Bud” Boston.  They embarked on their marriage journey in 1955.  To this union was born 3 children, Terry Boston (Deceased) Tonia Gaddis (Allen) and Travis Boston (Jay).  Linda was an active homemaker, she had a green thumb for flowers and plants and served many years in the banking industry.  After the death of her husband Bud and then her oldest son Terry, she moved to Campbellsville to be closer to Tonia and her kids.

Linda took great pride in her home and was often on the cutting edge of fashion and design in decorating her home with chic decor, ranging from modern art pieces to Texas flags. She was a faithful and loving spouse, mother and grandmother.  In her later years she very much enjoyed traveling with her family and she loved to tell them stories of her childhood and the early days of her and Bud’s marriage.

Linda had professed faith in Christ and attended church with Allen and Tonia as her health allowed.  She used to enjoy going to hear Allen sing in the Gospel group he was a part of.

Linda leaves to honor and cherish her memory her daughter Tonia (Allen) and her son Travis (Jay). Her brother, Doyle Smith, her Nephew Mark Smith (Liz) and her great niece Maddie.  Her legacy also includes five Grandchildren: Joel (Deceased), Jessa, Jaxon, June, and Jenny Gaddis and a great nephew, Vincent Smith (Deceased).  Linda was proceeded in death by 2 other brothers who died in early childhood, Rodney and Wendell.

The family will receive friends and family 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. (EST), Thursday February 2, 2023, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville.  There will be an additional visitation Friday  11AM – 2 PM (CST) at Hardy & Sons Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.  We will all celebrate Linda’s life at 2:00 P.M. Friday with her son- in- law, Allen Gaddis officiating.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green.

Milford Henry Lowe

Milford Henry Lowe of Merrimac, son of Robie Lowe and Luvenia Wooley Lowe,  was born April 19, 1938,  in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 8:00 A.M., Sunday, January 29, 2023 in Merrimac.   Age:  84

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Merrimac Christian Church.

Milford was a retired farmer and a former member of the Merrimac Masonic Lodge and had served two terms as a Taylor County Magistrate.  He was a people person and was known for always having a team of mules in parades and get togethers.

Milford united in marriage to Betty Cox December 21, 1963.

Besides his wife, Betty Lowe of Merrimac, Milford is survived by two sons and two daughters:  Robie Lowe and Russell Wayne and wife, Clara of Merrimac, Lisa Garrett and husband, Curtis of Elk Horn and Debbie Nelson and husband, Leon of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren:  Rebecca Lowe, Betty Lowe, Matthew Lowe, Kevin Lowe, John Murphy, Emily Garrett and Jacqueline  Graves and husband, Dustin; one expected great-grandchild; one brother, David Lowe and wife, Susie of Franklin, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Milford was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters:  Roger Lowe, Charles E. Lowe, Ruth Owens and Carl Ray Lowe in infancy and Ina Catherine Lowe in infancy.

Tommy Arbuckle

Tommy Arbuckle of Campbellsville, son of Alberta Hardesty Dishman and the late Donald Arbuckle was born December 10, 1960 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He died at 1:56 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Campbellsville.               Age: 62

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Cane Valley Baptist Church.

Tommy was a mail carrier in Green County for twenty-seven years and a well respected roofer for some thirty-five years.

He was a devoted husband and father whose main concern was taking care of his family.

Tommy united in marriage to Brenda Price November 26, 1995. Besides his wife, Brenda Arbuckle of Campbellsville he is survived by one daughter, Baylee Arbuckle and significant other, Zack Faulkner; his mother, Alberta Dishman of Campbellsville; three sisters and one brother: Denise Blaydes and husband, Perry, Tena Gowen and husband, Travis and Pam Druin of Campbellsville and Travis “Tony” Arbuckle and wife, Nancy of Clarksville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
