Ricky Lane Rood of Campbellsville, son of the late Levi Harvey Rood and Lois Dean Moore Rood, was born January 7, 1953 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died at 9:33 A.M., Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in Louisville. Age: 69
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Ricky was a retired auto mechanic and could fix anything. He loved westerns, drag racing, UK basketball and especially, his family.
Ricky united in marriage to Kathy Rafferty August 4, 1978.
Besides his wife, Kathy Rood of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Brandon Rood and wife, Natalie of Campbellsville and Kristy Rood of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren: McKenna Rood, Braxton Rood and Brody Rood of Campbellsville and Alexis Rood of Elizabethtown; one brother and one sister: Mike Rood and wife, Penny of Georgia and Patti Herron and husband, Jeff of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bentley Scott Rood September 16, 2010.

Marcia Sue Reynolds Colvin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Billie Reynolds and Catherine Graham Reynolds was born December 31, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:15 P.M., Tuesday July, 12, 2022 in Lebanon. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Bible Baptist Tabernacle. She taught the Beginners Sunday Class for thirty-nine years.
Marcia Sue loved all people especially toddlers and provided childcare for many friends and family. In spite of her illness, she never lost her loving spirit and never failed to ask those she met if they were a Christian. She always kept a clean house for her family and loved to cook for others.
Marcia Sue united in marriage to Leroy Colvin June 27, 1959. Besides her husband, Leroy Colvin of Campbellsville she is survived by two sons and one daughter: Holman Colvin and wife, Tammy and Rodney Colvin and wife, Connie of Campbellsville and Angela Martin and husband, Kerry of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren: Andrea Farmer and husband, Jason, Dexter Colvin and wife, Becca, Raven Colvin, Wes Colvin and wife, Kacie, Kelsey Willis and husband, Hunter and Gabrey Colvin; ten great-grandchildren: Jacey Farmer, Elly Farmer, Luke Colvin, Cade Colvin, Nora Colvin, Sadler Colvin, Sawyer Colvin, Ethan Miller, Colt Willis and Raegyn Willis; one sister, Betty Hall and husband, Max of Newington, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Ralph Hedgespeth; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor Reynolds and Bernice Reynolds of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Curtis Aaron Colvin; four brothers and four sisters: Barry Reynolds, Tommie Lee Reynolds, Romey Reynolds, Sr., S.L. Reynolds, Emma Milby, Elsie Gaddie, Audrey Cowherd and Mary Ellen Hedgespeth.

Lucy Fay Vaughn of Campbellsville daughter of the late James Herbert Bowen and Maude Lee Wade Bowen was born August 5, 1940 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:46 P.M., Monday, July 11, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Spurlington United Methodist Church. Fay was a former employee of General Telephone Company and was retired from Houchens Market after some thirty years of service. Fay was a hard worker all her life and liked to stay busy making pies and working in the yard. She loved her family especially the grandchildren and her little dog, Lucky. She united in marriage to William Vaughn August 21, 1965. Besides her husband, William Vaughn of Campbellsville, Fay is survived by four sons: Todd Vaughn and wife, Lynn, Troy Vaughn and wife, Cheryl of Campbellsville, Trent Vaughn and wife, Joanna of Greensburg and Tony Vaughn and wife, Sheila of New Albany, Indiana; three grandsons: Jacob Vaughn and Caleb Penick, of Campbellsville, and Joby Vaughn of Greensburg; five granddaughters: Felicia Moran and husband, Cole, Cambry Wooley and husband, Orrin and Maddie Vaughn of Greensburg and Rylee Vaughn and Avery Vaughn of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren: Matthew and Ellie Moran and Jenson and Vaida Wooley; one brother, Kenneth Bowen and wife, Mildred and a sister-n-law, Bernice Bowen Cox of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Fay was preceded in death by three brothers: Hollis Earl Bowen, Lewis Bowen, J.R. Bowen and two sisters: Catherine Johnson and her identical twin, May Rock.

Howard Wayne Eastridge, 83, of Knifley died Monday, July 11, 2022 from an extended illness. He was the son of the late Coy Eastridge and Opal Hovious Eastridge, and he was born on January 27, 1939 at the family’s home on Hovious Ridge. He was a life-long farmer. He grew up on a dairy farm and continued dairy farming until the cows were sold in 2001. Upon selling the dairy cows, he continued with beef cattle, horses, pigs, and sheep. Throughout his farming career, he enjoyed caring for and trading many different animals, sometimes even exotic animals. He bred horses and donkeys for many years, including small and large donkeys until the time of his death. Over many years, he was an avid raccoon, rabbit, and quail hunter. He enjoyed hunting with many family members and passing this interest on to his two sons. He often spoke of hunting trips to Canada and Illinois. He traded hunting dogs for rabbits and raccoons for many years. He was an avid collector of knives and guns, which is an interest he passed on to his sons and daughter as well.
He was married to Mildred Aliene Davidson Eastridge on January 27, 1959. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in January, 2022. She worked side-by-side with him on the farm and survives today.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Eastridge of Elkhorn. In addition to his spouse, he is survived by two sons and one daughter, Lenuel Eastridge (Donna) of Marysville, OH, Howard Eastridge (Briann) of Columbia, and Paula Bault of Knifley; six grandchildren, Matthew (Alecia) Eastridge of Bowling Green, KY, Megan (Justin) McCreary of Marysville, OH, Jordan (LeeAnn) Eastridge of Saloma, KY, Brittany Eastridge of Bowling Green, KY, Bethany (Cody) Hammond of Brandenburg, KY, and Sarah (Brian) Showalter of Marysville, OH; two step-grandchildren, Chaz (Samantha) Giles of Columbia, KY and Van (Karli) Giles of Lexington, KY; eleven great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Byron (Betty) Eastridge of Knifley, Mary Williams of Elkhorn, Myra Greer of Knifley, and Ronnie (Darlene) Eastridge of Campbellsville; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Eastridge of Elkorn; and many other family members and friends who have been a tremendous support.

Maxine Jones of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Welby Russell Simpson and Cassie Irene Woodrum Simpson, was born November 30, 1921 in Adair County, Kentucky. She died at 6:55 P.M., Friday, July 8, 2022 in Campbellsville. Age: 100
She professed faith and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.
Maxine enjoyed cooking meals for her family during get-togethers, babysitting and taking care of everyone as much as she could.
She united in marriage to Elzie “Zeb” Jones October 16, 1942 and he preceded her in death February 15, 2014.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters: Ruth Imogene Gray of Lexington , Carol Mae Cox and husband, Jerry of Elkhorn, Vivian Sullivan of Mt. Washington , Jimmy Jones and wife, Judy of Campbellsville, and Mike Jones and wife, Kay of Louisville; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Welby Simpson and wife, Arlene of Campbellsville, and Marcella Perkins of Boise, Idaho; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Christopher Gray; two great-grandchildren: Christopher David Sexton, and Gerald Douglas Cox III; and four brothers and one sister: Lanis Simpson, Fred Simpson, E.H. Simpson, Glenn Simpson, and Ruth Simpson.
