Elymus Lewis
(1917 – 2011)
Elymus Lewis of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Allen Ford and Lulu Jones Ford was born October 9, 1917, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:26 A.M., Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 93
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was an employee of Metzmeier Nursing Home for some twenty six years.
She united in marriage to Carl Lewis December 24, 1935. He preceded her in death April 25, 1997.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter and their spouses, Wendell and Goldie Lewis of Elkhorn, Junior and Brenda Lewis of Shepherdsville and Rebecca and Dale Patterson of Windsor; five grandchildren: Alan Patterson and wife, Lilly and Keith Patterson and wife Amy of Windsor, Vickie Coy and husband Alan of Mt. Washington, Barry Lewis of Campbellsville and Stephen Lewis of Louisville; one great-grandson and four great-granddaughters: Josh Patterson, Jenny Patterson, Kelly Patterson, Amanda Lewis and Taylor Lewis; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Pearline Smith.

Buford Douglas Phillips of Arizona, formerly of Campbellsville, son of Wesley Phillips and the late Dorothy Benningfield Phillips, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 17, 1936. He died at 4:43 P.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in Louisville. Age: 74
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith.
He was a retired commercial construction employee.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by four daughters: Rhonda Forsythe of North Carolina, Cherie Springman, Alecia Kollasch and Trinka Hall of Phoenix, Arizona; mother of his children, Shirley Henderson Torjusen of Arizona; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his father and wife, Wesley and Sue Phillips of Hodgenville; one brother, Dallas Lynn Phillips and wife, Annetta of La Grange; aunt, Margaret McDonald of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Peri Douglas Phillips November 30, 1962.

Roger J. Bright of Campbellsville, son of the late Delmar Bright and Myrtle Cox Bright, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, November 10, 1942. He died at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 68
He professed faith in Christ and attended the East Campbellsville Church of God.
He was a retired employee of Ingersoll Rand in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Sue Graybeal, March 31, 1962.
Besides his wife, Sue Bright, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Andy Bright and wife, Anya and Anita Orange and husband, Duane of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Tracy Harper and husband, Bo of New Haven and Amy Orange, Caleigh Bright, Gabby Bright and Kendall Bright of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Alex Bell, Lilli Pierce and Dixie Harper; one brother and two sisters: Tony Bright and Carolyn Shofner and husband, Donnie of Campbellsville and Rosaline Cooley of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Stephen Bright June 15, 1971 and one brother and one sister: Wilbur Dale Bright and Lucille Daniels.

Randall (Randy) DeWayne McFall, 40, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in Indiana.
He was a twenty year employee of the Campbellsville 911 Center, he was a longtime deputy with Taylor County Sheriff’s Department, and an earlier volunteer with the Taylor County Fire Department
He is survived by his wife, Dana Vaughn McFall of Campbellsville, one son, Zack McFall of Campbellsville, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry & Angie McFall, Donald and Jewell McFall of Campellsville, Danny & Ellen McFall of Lebanon, sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Frank Tate of Bardstown, Father-in-law & mother-in-law, David and Alice Vaughn of Campellsville, also surving is two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brad and Amber Vaughn, and Chad & Shayla Vaughn and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
