Sherry Cox
Sherry Cox, age 53, of Anna Court, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at University Hospital in Louisville after a sudden illness.
She was the daughter of the late Hubert L. and Evelyn Noel Cox and a member of the St. Marks United Methodist Church. She was a store manager for Alstar Food Mart. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters, David, Bobby, Jimmy, Mitchell, Wendell, J.V., Roger and Brenda Cox and Retta Noel.
She is survived by one son and his spouse Matthew and Brittany Elizabeth Cross of Campbellsville, one grand-daughter, Braylie Cross and four brothers and four sisters, Lewis, Ronnie and Timmy Cox all of Campbellsville, Carroll Cox of Maryland, Doris Williams, Patricia Lynn McDonald, Peggy Gilbert and Lana Pendleton all of Campbellsvill Funeral services for Sherry Cox were held at 1:00 PM Sunday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Reverend Gary Wagoner Jr., officiated.

Charles Davis, age 72, of Grandview Nursing Home, died there Wednesday,
He is survived by two daughters, Paula Jean Price of Indianapolis, Michelle Davis of Cincinnati, and eight grand-children and one great-grandchild. Two brothers and six sisters and their spouses, James and Sara Davis of Georgia, Joe Davis Of Indianapolis, Mary and Chester Williams of Saloma, Susie and Louis Hardin, Rose and Daniel Spencer and Ruth Davis all of Indianapolis, Ida and Garfield Smith of Richmond and Marie and Raymond Tardy of Indianapolis.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Davis will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Pleasant Union Baptist Church with burial in the Pleasant Union Cemetery.
The family request visitation from 11AM to 1 PM at Pleasant Union Baptist Church.

Joan Harrison, daughter of the late David Wood Wintsch and Girtha Poore Wintsch, was born in Hart County, Kentucky, September 5, 1930. She died at 9:20 A.M., Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 81
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She was a retired bookkeeper.
She united in marriage to Charles Lee “Cotton” Harrison in May, 1950. He preceded her in death November 12, 1960.
She united in marriage to Howard Spratt March 17, 1987. He preceded her in death March 29, 2010.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters: David Harrison and wife, Patty of Bowling Green, Bill Spratt and wife, Sherry of Dayton, Ohio, Johnson Spratt of Panama, Julie Jessie and husband, Kimble of Campbellsville and Jackie Payne and husband, Jim of Rosamond, California; ten grandchildren: Natalie Cline of Gallatin, Tennessee, Scott Jessie of Campbellsville, Adam Jessie of Knoxville, Tennessee, Rev. Blake Jessie of Greensburg, Julie Payne and Jason Payne of California, Nora Cox of Bowling Green, Christopher Spratt of Dayton, Ohio, Tom Spratt and Robert Howard Spratt of Panama; nine great-grandchildren: Harrison Cline, Hunter Jessie, Brayden Jessie, Taylor Jessie, Carson Jessie, Jase Jessie, Parker Jessie, River Jessie and Valerie Spratt; one sister, Carolyn Bays of Abdington, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Wintsch.

Ethel Wood of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James Wesley “Went” Dile and Alta Zena Rogers Dile, was born in Green County, Kentucky, July 28, 1929. She died at 4:25 P.M., Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to David Wood January 22, 1949. He preceded her in death September 14, 1996.
She is survived by four daughters and six sons: Helen Rainwater, Melva Wood, Sue Hunt, Norma Wright, Les Wood, Raymond Wood, George Wood, Joe Wood, Guy Wood, and Bobby Wood all of Campbellsville; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters: Shreve Dile, Finis Dile, J.W. Dile, Moss Dile, Sylvia Oliver, Lovie Blankenship, Geraldine Nye, and Ollie Joy.

J. D. White of ElkHorn, son of the late Wilbur White and Lillian Greer White, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, March 19, 1933. He died at 9:53 P.M., Saturday, February 18, 2012 in Louisville. Age: 78
He was a retired construction worker.
He united in marriage to Marie Phillips December 19, 1951.

He was owner and operator of Bell Bakery for many years and a former employee of A.M. General in Indiana.
He united in marriage to Joyce Buchmiller August 12, 1961.
Besides his wife, Joyce LaGodney, he is survived by two sons: Bill LaGodney of Campbellsville and Bob LaGodney of Richmond, Virginia; one sister, Mary Louise Staples of Mishawaka, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: William Joseph LaGodney and Robert LaGodney.

John (Johnnie) King Stephenson, age 85 of Taylor County, died Thursday at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.
He was the son of the late Will Stephenson and Martha Stephenson Jones foe Casey County and a retired farmer. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one half-brother, Jesse Jones, and four half-sisters, Ida Calhoun of Campbellsville, Mabel Jones of New Mexico, Ada Frankel and Hettie Stahl.
He is survived by four nieces, Montie Knifley of Campbellsville, Pat Campbell of Kansas, Carolyn Russman of Louisville, Reba Janice Warford of New Mexico.
Graveside services for Mr. John (Johnnie) King Stephenson will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 18, at the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
Brother Jimmie Knifley officiated.
There will be no visitation.
Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth Arinsmier of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Rutherford Benjamin Morgan and Seattie Hensley Morgan, was born in Perry County, Kentucky, April 25, 1934. She died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 77
She was employed in food service.
She united in marriage to Edward Arinsmier, Jr., who preceded her in death June 13, 2000.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: Matthew A.
