Alta Graham Roberts, 88

Alta Graham Roberts, age 88, of Campbellsville, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 4:00 AM at Taylor Regional Hospital after a short illness.
She was the daughter of the late Burr and Martha Ethel Graham of Clinton County Kentucky (May 20, 1921). She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Paul Roberts (December 25, 1990), one son Floyd E. Roberts (May, 1993), and one brother Roy Graham.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law Alice M. and (Ira) Powers of Campbellsville, and four sons Bobby & Joy Roberts, of Kokomo, Indiana, Jonathan A. & Deborah Roberts, of Scottsburg, Indiana, Daniel and Becky Roberts,of New Castle, Indiana, Samuel and Roberta Roberts , of Kokoma, Indiana. 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren , one sister, Sally Thurman of Albany, Kentucky, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Alta Graham Roberts will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home and visitation will be after 1 p.m. Monday at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Haggerstown, Indiana with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation at Salem Primitive Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday. L yon-DeWitt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Johnny Edrington

(Columbia, KY) – A memorial service for fallen Trooper Johnny M. Edrington will be held at the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville, KY on Friday, May 14 at 11:00 AM EDT.  Trooper Edrington was shot and killed Dec. 21, 1988, during a traffic stop on KY 80 seven miles west of London in Laurel County.  No suspect has ever been apprehended.

Barry Burton of Campbellsville, son of Retha Barnett Burton and the late Moss Burton, Jr., was born in Franklin, Indiana November 14, 1957.  He died at 1:35 P.M., Thursday, April 29, 2010 in Campbellsville.   Age:  52

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Elkhorn Baptist Church.

He was a self-employed businessman.

He united in marriage to Lisa Ray November 13, 1984.

Besides his wife, Lisa Burton of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons:  Cory Burton and Dustin Burton of Campbellsville; his mother, Retha Burton of Campbellsville; one sister and two brothers:  Demesia Harrison and husband, Rex, Gary Burton and wife, Robin and Ricky Burton of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Nina Quinn of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Eston Bartley and Hazel Copas Bartley, was born in Monroe County, Kentucky, June 29, 1937.  She died at 4:36 P.M., Wednesday, April 28, 2010 in Campbellsville.    Age:  72

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Sunnyhill Church of Christ.

She was employed as a Wal Mart associate for approximately twenty-five years.
She is survived by five sons and one daughter:  James Quinn of Mt. Washington, Greg and Vicki Quinn, Denise Hunt and husband, Mike, Ricky Quinn and wife, Holly, Todd Quinn and wife, Pam and Tim Quinn of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters:   Mary Nell Bland and husband, Bill of Shepherdsville and Barbara Jenkins and husband, Bill of Jackson, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Joycelyn Bartley of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Edmon Bartley August 29, 1995.
