Bobby “Pete” Parrish

Bobby “Pete” Parrish of Campbellsville, son of Margaret Lamme Parrish and the late Billie Parrish, was born April 27, 1951, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:36 A.M., Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Lexington.  Age: 60

He professed faith in Christ and attended Beech Grove Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He united in marriage to Nona Warren  August 2, 1968.

Besides his wife, Nona Parrish, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  Chris Parrish and wife, Regina and Leanne Parrish of Campbellsville; three grandchildren:  Matthew Parrish, Megan Parrish and Whitney Houchens of Campbellsville; his mother, Margaret Parrish of Campbellsville; one sister, Patricia Wilson and husband, Troy of Campbellsville; his mother-in-law, June Warren Sluder and husband, Bill of Campbellsville; one niece, Deanna Gupton and husband, Todd of Campbellsville; one nephew, Kevin Wilson and wife, Tammy of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, W. C. Warren October 4, 2000.

Allene Cundiff of Mt. Sterling, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ira Chelf and Bette Knifley Chelf, was born April 25, 1923, in Adair County, Kentucky.  She died at 10:10 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2012 in Mt. Sterling.   Age: 88

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She is survived by two daughters:  Alla Rae Janes and husband, R.T. of Campbellsville and Vernice Taylor of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren:  Wendy Sabo and husband, John of Campbellsville, Robin Brown and husband, Steven of Atlanta, Tammy Haydon and husband, Robert of Mt. Sterling, Debbie Ledford and husband, Eric of Mt. Sterling, John Taylor and wife, Donna of Mt. Sterling, Tommy Taylor and Candace Francis of Mt. Sterling, Craig Janes of Dallas, and Steven  Janes and wife, Carrie of Jamestown; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister: Bette Jean Benningfield and husband, Algusta of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Robert Chelf, Herman Chelf, Leon Chelf, and Maxine Farris and a son-in-law, Jim Taylor.

Roger Burress, age 63, of Speck Ridge Road, died, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his residence after an illness.

          He is survived by his wife, Margaret Burress, two sons and daughters-in-law, Robbie & Leanna Burress, Bobby and Misty Burress all of Campbellsville, four grandchildren, Tyler, Madison, Coty & Corey Burress, of Campbellsville,  his parents, Lester & Burdess Burress of Campbellsville, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry & Edith Burress, Freddie & Patty Burress, & Henry Burress all of Campbellsville, one sister & brother-in-law, Inetta & Larry Childress of Campbellsville.

          Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Callahan Cemetery.

Phillip Sullivan of Campbellsville, son of Louise Loy Sullivan and the late George Sullivan, was born September 13, 1948, in Russell County, Kentucky.  He died at 1:00 A.M., Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Campbellsville.   Age: 63

He professed faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville Baptist Temple.

He was a retired construction worker.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He is survived by two daughters:  Patty Skaggs and husband, Troy of Greensburg and Jennifer Mulberry and husband, Mike of Georgetown; three grandchildren:  Mason Skaggs and Kenzie Skaggs of Greensburg and Nicole Sullivan of Georgetown; one great-grandson, Peyton Grubb of Georgetown; his mother, Louise Sullivan of Campbellsville; one sister, Deborah Munford and husband, Donnie of Campbellsville; three nieces and four nephews:  Angela Linville, Hayley Linville, Katie Munford, Bentley Linville, Joshua Munford, Braden Bernard and Lewis Bernard; and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Pansy Mae Willis

         Pansy Mae Willis, age 90, of Bell Avenue, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at the Taylor County Hospital after an illness.

          She was the daughter of the late Dee & Annie Vaughn Franklin.  She was preceded in death by her husband Reed Willis on June 6, 1979, two sons, R. A. Willis and Larry Willis, seven brothers, Ralph, Paul, Bobby, Dick, Plez, Hollis and Junior Franklin.

          She is survived by one son and spouse, one daughter and  one daughter-in-law, Kenny and Brenda Willis, Lois Dulworth and Barbara Willis all of Campbellsville. Seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren also survive.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Pansy Willis will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2012, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

Sandy Wolford of Campbellsville, daughter of Juanita Henderson Wolford and the late Norman Wolford was born July 9, 1958 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:12 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2012 in Elizabethtown.        Age: 53

She is survived by two daughters and one son: Amy Taylor and husband Richie and Amanda Martin of Campbellsville and Richard Martin and wife, Bobbie of Carrollton; five grandchildren: Kimya Martin, Brittany Martin, Kaleb Martin, Raelee Taylor and Callie Taylor; her mother, Juanita Wolford of Campbellsville; one brother and two sisters: Doug Wolford and wife Donna, Tammy Hunt and Kim Johnson and husband Carl of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Katie Jo Martin December 19, 1990.

Donnie Bright of Campbellsville, son of the late Adrain Bright and Cora Tudder Bright, was born September 4, 1947, in Marion County, Kentucky. He died at 1:35 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 64

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Stewarts Creek Baptist Church in Marion County.

He was a farmer for many years.

He united in marriage to Shirley Barnett August 10, 1968.

Besides his wife, Shirley Bright, he is survived by one son, Jared Adrain Bright of Campbellsville; one brother, Nolan Robinson and wife, Judy of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends.

Jeanette (Tootsie) Rafferty of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Wise and Minnie Farmer Wise, was born June 24, 1934, in Marion County, Kentucky.  She died at 1:50 A.M., Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Louisville.   Age: 77

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She united in marriage to Prather E. Rafferty February 27, 1954.  He preceded her in death April 27, 2008.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter:  Larry E. Rafferty of Louisville, Barry Rafferty and wife, Alma of Jamestown and Kathy Munday of Greenville, Tennessee; four grandchildren:  Kayla Munday and Maggie Munday of Greenville, Tennessee, Cody Rafferty of Jamestown, and Charles Jacob Rafferty of Louisville; one great-grand-daughter: Emeri Kay Ball; one sister-in-law, Dixie Wise of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Charles Junior Wise, Shelby Wise, Howard Wise, and Bernice Richerson.

Mattie Cash of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Alfred Thomas Underwood and Gertrude Bloyd Underwood, was born March 7, 1919, in Larue County, Kentucky.  She died at 7:40 P.M., Monday, January 16, 2012 in Campbellsville.   Age: 92

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Raymond H. Cash February 13, 1938.  He preceded her in death April 23, 1992.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters:  Gary Cash and wife, Lisa of Campbellsville, Ransie Cash and wife, Karen of Georgetown, Wendell Cash of Louisville, Monzelle Parrish and husband, Douglas of St. Louis, Missouri and Sharon Hess of Burke, Virginia; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Monroe Harold Cash in infancy; a daughter-in-law, Verna Cash on March 29, 2009; four brothers and five sisters:  Russell B. Underwood, Everett Underwood, Robert Underwood, Grant Underwood, Aileen Beams, Estelle DeSpain Pepper, Verna Fraze, Maud DeSpain and Gladys Gaddie.

Delbert Dix

Delbert Dix of Campbellsville, son of the late Thomas Dix and Dora Rickel Dix, was born April 12, 1927, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 4:30 P.M., Monday, January 16, 2012 in Campbellsville.   Age: 84

He professed faith in Christ and was a charter member of the Meadowview Baptist Church.  He served as a deacon since September 25, 1961 at South Campbellsville Baptist Church and Meadowview Baptist Church.

He was a retired brick layer and was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers for over sixty years.

He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of World

War II.

He united in marriage to Christine Smith December 24, 1952.

Besides his wife, Christine Dix, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  Craig Dix and Donna Blair and husband, Roger of Campbellsville; two grandsons:  Andrew Blair and wife, Shannon of Campbellsville and Benjamin Blair of Louisville; one sister-in-law, Mabel Dix of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters:  Dean Dix, Paul Dix, Aubrey Dix, Guy Dix, Kenneth Dix, Edward Dix, Ernest Dix, Dorothy Dix, Lyla Dix, Ruth Sallee and Elizabeth Davis.
