Alma Shofner of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Clarence W. Sidebottom and Ethel Shofner Sidebottom was born October 8, 1925 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 1:15 P.M., Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
She united in marriage to Oscar W. Shofner December 24, 1940. He preceded her in death September 7, 1996.
She is survived by two sons and two daughters: Larry Shofner and wife, Glenna, Bobby Shofner and wife, Linda, Phyllis Sullivan and special friend, Ronnie Shuffett and Aletta Johns all of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Brandi Graham and husband, Jody and Eric Johns of Campbellsville and Adam Johns of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Dayne Graham and Sully Graham; one brother, Marshall Elwood Sidebottom of Russellville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son-in- law, Sammy Sullivan and one brother, Thomas J. Sidebottom.

Charles Learner Thompson 81, Campbellsville, died Friday at Taylor Regional Hospital, after an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Bricken) Thompson, Three daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Gary Milby, Donna and Larry Collins, all of Campbellsville, and Janet and Greg Eastridge of Ashland. one son and daughter-in-law Charles Douglas and Annette Thompson of Campbellsville. Eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one step grandchild and one step great-grandchild, also survive along with one brother and two sisters, James and Joyce Thompson of Springfield, Tenn., Viola and Tom Murray of Midland, Texas and Sherry and Lowell Stayton of Oklahoma, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Charles Thompson will be conducted at 10 AM Monday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Family request visitation Sunday May 20th from 5-8 P.M.

Katherine Milby of Columbia, daughter of the late Ezra Arthur Milby and Verna Miller Milby, was born in Green County, Kentucky, August 6, 1929. She died at 10:50 A. M., Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Columbia. Age: 82
She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Church of the Nazarene.
She united in marriage to Avery Milby, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Terry Kerns of Columbia; four grandchildren: Sherry Powell of Campbellsville, Cindy Coomer and husband, Todd of Greensburg, Bobby Powelland wife, Jessica of Mt. Washington and Timmy Kerns of Georgia; four great-grandchildren: Terry Perkins, Stefany Cox, Stephen Coomer and Dallas Coomer; two great-great-grandchildren: Hunter Akin and Isabella Powell; one sister, Carol Milby of Campbellsville; five special friends: Lou, Elaine, Jana, Mae and Anna; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mischelle Kerns; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Rainey; two sisters: Lucille Stotts and Juanita Sublett; and step-mother, Nancy Milby.

Janice Marie Muncie of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Willis Barnett and Cecil Mae Dicken Barnett was born December 22, 1939 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 7:27 P. M., Thursday, May 17, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 72
She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
She worked as a nurse at Fruit of the Loom for some 33 years.
She is survived by one daughter and one son: Cheryl Lynn Harmon and Jeff Muncie and wife, Lee Ann of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Janis Megan Harmon and Jeffery David Muncie; two sisters: Deloris Loy and husband, Buddy and Linda Grimes and husband, Thomas, all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Barnett June 13, 2011.

Robert Bruce Buckman, age 85, of Campbellsville, died Wednesday 16th, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Buckman of Knifley, Russell and Brenda Buckman of Springfield, Joe and Sharon Buckman, Phillip and Vickie Buckman and Danny and Charlotte Buckman all of Campbellsville. One daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Mark Tucker of Campbellsville, and daughter-in-law, Frances Buckman of Marion County. Twenty Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive along with on brother, Marion Buckman of Texas.
Funeral services for Mr. Buckman will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday May 20th at Lyon-Dewitt Funeral Home. Burial at Lady of Fatima.

Pauline C. Daffron of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Jim Crouch and Minnie Upchurch Crouch, was born in Wayne County, Kentucky, June 29, 1913. She died at 12:28 P. M., Monday, May 14, 2012, in Greensburg. Age: 98
She had professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
She united in marriage to Claude Price Daffron December 7, 1929. He preceded her in death September 23, 1984.
She is survived by six daughters and one son: Eva Spurling, Anna Marie Edelen, Tommy Daffron and wife, Lois, Betty McCubbin and husband, Stanley, Barbara A. Wright, Mary McMahan and husband, Jerry and Lytha Lou Noel of Campbellsville; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter and two sons: Neva Greer February 24, 1998, Phillip Daffron July 21, 2001 and Claude Junior Daffron July 5, 2008 and two brothers: Jim Ed Crouch and Isaac Thomas Crouch.

Paul Junior Cash, age 79, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, May 13, at Golden Living Center in Greensburg after an illness.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Sandy Cash of Mannsville and P.J. Cash of Campbellsville, three daughters, Sherry Luckett of Mt. Washington, Michelle Cash of Lebanon and Bridgette Cash of Mannsville and one step-son, Tristan Dishman of Mannsville. Mr. Cash is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren also survive along with three sisters, Delois Lee, Hazel Shofner and Joyce Johnson all of Campbellsville.
Funeral services for Mr. Paul Junior Cash will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday May 16, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in the Tallowcreek Cemetery.

R. T. Janes, BETTER KNOWN AS “Pops” by his family, of Campbellsville, son of the late Melvin Janes and Catherine Fisher Janes, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, March 14, 1934. He died at 5:15 A.M., Friday, May 11, 2012, in Louisville. Age: 78 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. He owned and operated Jane’s Dairy and Beef and formerly Ashland Broadway in Campbellsville. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Alla Rae Cundiff June 26, 1980. Besides his wife, Alla Rae Janes, he is survived by two daughters and two sons: Wendy Sabo and husband, John of Campbellsville, Robin Brown and husband, Steven of Atlanta, Craig Janes of Dallas and Steven Janes and wife, Carrie of Jamestown; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and other family and a host of friends.
