Bobby Mardis, of Campbellsville, son of the Laveda Underwood Mardis and the late Hardin Mardis, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 21, 1950. He died at 11:50 A.M., Friday, October 30, 2009, in Greensburg. Age: 59
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.
He was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.
He is survived by two sons: Kyle Mardis of Campbellsville and Brandon Mardis and wife, Devin of LaGrange; three granddaughters: Makayla Mardis of Campbellsville and Gracie Hadley and Emma Hadley of LaGrange; mother Laveda Mardis of Campbellsville; one sister and two brothers; Joyce Russell and husband Mike, Garnett Mardis and wife Ruthie and Terry Mardis of Campbellsville; one niece and two nephews: Shana Crabtree and husband Allen, Chad Mardis and Derek Mardis of Campbellsville; one great niece Molly Crabtree; special friend, Lindy Forbes of Hardyville and many other relatives and friends.

Pearline Ford Smith of Campbellsville, daughter of the late James A. Ford and Lula Jones Ford, was born February 28, 1915, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 8:05 P.M., Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 94
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Robert L. ldquo;Pugrdquo; Smith November 14, 1934. He preceded her in death March 11, 1999.
She is survived by two daughters and one son: Marilyn Smith and husband, Mike of Campbellsville, Lenuel A. Smith and wife, Bonnie of Columbia and Carolyn Larimore and husband, Rhea of Louisville; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Elymus Lewis of Windsor, Kentucky and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Smith, Sr. June 3, 2003.

J. C. Magers of Campbellsville, son of the late Geanie Magers and Susan Rigdon Magers, was born March 26, 1928, in Barren County, Kentucky. He died at 12:20 P.M., Tuesday, October 27, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 81
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church where he was a deacon for approximately fifty years.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
He was a retired employee of General Telephone Company having worked some forty-one years.
He was formerly a member of the Andy Bowen Masonic Lodge for many years.
He united in marriage to Doris Jean Wise March 9, 1951. She preceded him in death April 26, 2003.
He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Gary Magers and wife, Cheryl, Ray Magers and wife, Leah and Leitha Olson and husband, Bill of Campbellsville; one foster daughter, Beverly Jean Palmowski and husband, Walter of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Jake Olson and wife, Cristen, T. J. Olson, Andy Olson and wife, Amanda, Ashley Snellen and husband, Chad, Matthew Magers, Jessica Bohanon and husband, Eric, Mandy Magers, Kelly Corbin Hudson and husband, Doug, and Aaron Magers; two foster-grandchildren: Teresa Grimes and Tonya Johnson; seven great-grandchildren: Savannah Magers, Carly Snellen, Clayton Snellen, Jillian Bohanon, Elek Olson, Elijah Olson, and Ayden Olson; eight foster-great-grandchildren; five sisters: Ruth Hale of Glasgow, Marie Lyons of Indiana, Opal Reee of Louisville,Nell Howard of Fairfield, California and Mildred Jewell of Horse Cave; special friend, Dorothy Pierce of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Magers.

He was employed by the State Highway Department, a heavy equipment operator for 20 years and a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents George Estel and Louise Gray.
He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law Mark and Mary Gray of Campbellsville, Jamie and Bobbie Gray of Georgetown, adoptive son Troy Gray of Campbellsville.

She was proceeded in death by her parents James Frank and Jessie Pearl Moore of Elk Horn, and three brothers Delbert, Bluford, and Vernon Moore all of Campbellsville.
She is survived by one son Tommy and Misty Russell of Springfield, one daughter Angelia Russell of Somerset, two step-daughters Amy Stinson of Burkesville, Donna Hill of Nashville, TN, ten grandchildren, companion Donnie Hill of Burkesville, three brothers, Donnie Moore of Campbellsville, Dorland Moore of LaGrange, Bobby Moore of Upton, two sisters Janice Price and Juanita Hicks of Louisville, two special friends Sandy Grost of Burkesville and Cumberland County Lifeline.

She was a faithful member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a former employee of Fruit of the Loom.
She was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Ann Eggers Williams, was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Clifford Berry on May 6, 2001, and one sister Ruth Gilbert.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Linda Berry and Faye and Kenneth Adams both of Campbellsville, two granddaughters and spouses Cheryl and Joseph Davis, Laura and Todd Gabehart both of Campbellsville, five great grandsons and spouses C.J. and Mary Gabehart, Travis Gabehart, Wayne Draper, Tyler and Savannah Cruse, and Jacob Cruse, and one great-great granddaughter Emilee Alexis Gabehart.

Lala Marie Vaughn, 87, of Lowell Ave. Campbellsville, died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She was a faithful member of Hope International Ministry and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom and Medco Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility.
The daughter of the late Alonzo and Florence Burton Holmes, she was also preceded in death by her husband Willie Robert Vaughn on December 1, 1996, one son Keith Vaughn, brother J.C. Holmes, and sister Lucille Roy.
She is survived by two sons Allen and Mildred Vaughn of Columbia, Albert and Betty Vaughn of Louisiana, two daughters and son-in-law Hilda Satterfield of Campbellsville, Wanda and Hoyle Hicks of Burlington, N.C., twelve grandchildren, four brothers Edgar Holmes of Columbia, Carl Holmes, Herbert Holmes of Campbellsville, and Rev. Billy Holmes of Louisville.

James Wallace Hines, of Lexington, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Hobert Hines and Hazel Jones Hines, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, February 16, 1937. He died at 10:23 P.M., Friday, October 23, 2009, in Lexington. Age: 72
He was a research chemist.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army Reserve.
He is survived by one son and one daughter and their spouses: Mitchell and Amy Hines of Lexington and Lisa and Mike Egan of Elk River, Minnesota; and five grandchildren: Shyler Egan and Matthew Egan of Minnesota and Madison Hines, Jacob Martin, and Gracie Hines of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister: William Hines, Donald Hines, David Hines, Marion Hines and Margaret Johnson.

Allene Kinney, 76, passed away Wednesday October 21, 2009.
She was a member of Gospel of Grace Baptist Church in Hodgenville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry amp; Nancy Bryant, beloved husband, James R, Kinney, and five brothers and one sister: Milton Bryant, Gilbert Bryant, Bud Bryant, Woodrow Bryant, Coy Bryant, and Bertha Barnett.
Left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Larry Polston (Debbie) Hinesville, GA; Michael Polston (Debbie) Palmyra, TN; four daughters: Diane Impagliazzo (Frank) Egg Harbor Township, NJ; Patricia Fiorini (Al) Louisville,KY; Sheila Thompson, Lexington KY; and Susan Reed Lambert (Arnie) Hodgenville KY; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Bryant (Barbara), and two sisters: Louise Corbin, and Magdalene Montgomery, all of Campbellsville KY; along with many other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank the caring staffs at U of L stroke unit, Springhurst Rehab, and Norton Brownsboro Hospital for treating our Mom with such dignity and love.

James E. Wilgus, Jr. of Campbellsville, son of the late James E. Wilgus, Sr. and Jenny Hudson Wilgus, was born in Selbyville, Delaware, August 27, 1926. He died at 6:43 P.M., Wednesday, October 21, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 83
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church.
He was a retired military and commercial pilot.
He served his country honorably in the United States Navy and United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Major after some twenty-two years.
He united in marriage to Mary Hargan October 3, 1962.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Hargan Wilgus; one son and four daughters:

Robert Wilgus and wife, Pat of Duluth, Georgia, Connie Delaroderie and husband, Aldridge of Newport, North Carolina, Susan Taylor and husband, Charles of Greensboro, North Carolina, JoAnne Ghavami and husband, Bizhan of Brentwood, Tennessee and Jennifer Wilgus of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; seven grandsons: Jim Delaroderie, John Delaroderie, Todd Delaroderie, Tom Delaroderie, Mike Taylor,
Brandon Wilgus and Brian Wilgus; four great-grandchildren: Alex Taylor, Sofia Delaroderie, Brianna Wilgus and Eleanor Rose Wilgus; one brother, Eugene Wilgus of Selbyville, Delaware; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Commander Carlton Wilgus.
