SAM B. BRENNER SR.

Sam B. Brenner Sr. of Campbellsville, son of the late Sammie Cyrus Brenner and Sallie Byars Brenner was born in Calhoun, Kentucky, November 10, 1925. He died at 4:55 A.M., Friday, March 27, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 83
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Andrew United Methodust Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a clothing salesman for many years and retired from Walmart Corporation.
He united in marriage to Helen Redwine January 14, 1949. She preceded him in death March 29, 2004.
He united in marriage to Madeline Key Carrigan November 12, 2005. She preceded him in death September 14, 2006.
He is survived by three sons: Sam Brenner Jr. and Aaron Brenner of Campbellsville and John Brenner and his wife, Kathy of Eden, New York; eight grandchildren: Susan Kerr of Virginia, Tracy Brenner of Marathon Key, Florida, Sarah Brenner and Samuel David Brenner of Campbellsville and David Alexander Brenner, Lauren Brenner, Anna Brenner, and Emily Brenner of New York; three great-grandchildren: Brandon Kerr, Miranda Kerr, and Laura Kerr of Virginia; several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Brenner.

Mary Elizabeth Gilbert of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie Fountain Wise and Mary Ermine Puryear Wise, was born November 13, 1935, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 9:54 A.M., Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 73
She professed faith in Christ and attended Bible Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Harvey Gilbert October 22, 1949. He was preceded her in death January 13, 1995.
She is survived by seven sons and two daughters: Danny Gilbert and wife, Sondra, Randel Gilbert and wife, Liz, Cheryl Godby and Elzie Eddie Gilbert of Campbellsville; Charles Gilbert and wife, Carol of Nashville, Bobby Gilbert of Greensburg, Peggy Hunt and Josh Smith of Columbia, George Gilbert and wife, Janie of Springfield and Harvey Gilbert, Jr. and wife, Faye of Indiana; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; six sisters: Alma Newton of Campbellsville, Alice Taylor of Mt. Sherman, Jewell Humphrey and Shirley Mae Wise of Hodgenville, Pat Wise of Michigan and Juanita Keeble of South Dakota; special friend, Charles Hearon of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jane Hedgespeth and one sister, Thelma Helen Barnes.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Soule Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was co-owner of Hubbard Grocery for seventeen years.
She united in marriage to Clelland Hubbard August 7, 1954.
She is survived by her husband, Clelland Hubbard of Campbellsville; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Gary Brents; five grandchildren: Michael Brents and fianceersquo;, Kristen Dowling and Holly Brents of Campbellsville; Molly Pepper and husband, Tyler, Johnny Hubbard and Billy Hubbard and wife, Tandy of Lexington; two nieces: Dianna Farris Kirtley of Washington, D.C. and Kathy Hoeppner of Nashville, Tennessee; one great-niece and two great-nephews: Melissa Kirtley and Hal Kirtley of Lexington and Will Hoeppner of Nashville, Tennessee, and many relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Peggy Hubbard and one brother, W. L. Farris.

Charles W. Klossing, 81, of Taylor County, formerly of Quincy, Illinois, died, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at Summitt Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, Ky after
an illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Alberta Scherer Klossing, his spouse, Donna Klossing, two brothers Kenneth Klossing, Gary Klossing and one sister, Goldie Crowe.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Dwayne Cutt of Campbellsville, one son, Charles Klossing, Jr of Paris, Missouri, two grandsons, Douglas Cutt of Louisville and David Cutt serving in Iraq, six brothers and two sisters, Robert Klossing of California, Richard Klossing, Illinois, Gene Klossing of Arkansas, Gene Klossing, Paul Klossing, Jackie Klossing, Willis Klossing of Quincy Illinois, Birdie Friddle of Utah and Mae Barnecott of Arkansas.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Quincy Memorial Park in Quincy, Illinois.

She professed faith in Christ and attended the First Church of God.
She was a child care provider.
She united in marriage to James Coakley King September 21, 1940. He preceded her in death May 8, 2005.
She is survived by two sons: Barry King and wife, Nancy of Campbellsville and Phillip King and partner, Dennis Stover of Sarasota, Florida; two grandchildren: Rebecca Wathen and husband, Jim and James King and wife, Melinda of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Brittany King, Ian King, Seth King, Micah King and Chloe King of Campbellsville; niece and caregiver, Geneva Rae Bright of Campbellsville; several other nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Clarence Bright, Thomas Bright and Lloyd ldquo;Buckrdquo; Bright.

He was retired from Fruit of the Loom having been employed in the Knitting Room.
He united in marriage to Louise Bryant December 2, 1943.
Besides his wife, Louise Corbin of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons: David Corbin and wife, Jewell and Donnie Corbin and wife, Myra of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Benjamin Corbin of Campbellsville; Andrea Harmon and husband, Robert of Mannsville and Tommy Corbin of Lexington; two great-grandchildren: Levi Harmon and Rose Harmon of Mannsville; one sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Tom Myles of Campbellsville and one brother, Walter Corbin of Anderson, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Dimple Burris.
