William Charles Edgar Davis, age 64, Meadow Creek Road, Campbellsville, Ky, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Hardin Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was the son of the late Edgar and Jessie Mae Speers Davis. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jessee Lee Davis and Shelby Ray Davis and two sisters, Barbara Collins and Edna Mae Kerr. He is survived by wife, Maxine Davis of Campbellsville, one son and daughter-in-law, William Timothy and Jeannie Davis of Campbellsville, two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda M and Gary Smith of Campbellsville and Elayne and Bill Perkins of Alabama, six grandchildren, Billy Davis, Eddie Davis, Cassie Perkins, Alex Perkins, Steven Smith and Nicholas Smith,one great-grandchild, Zachlee Blayne Davis, three step-grandchildren, Joey Hunt, Landon Morgan, Tamara Black, and one step great grandchild, Whitney Lloyd, three brothers and three sisters, William Garnett Davis, W. B. (Johnny) Davis, Bobby Glenn Davis and Margaret Marple all of Campbellsville, Louise Kerr-Kettering of Ohio and Catherine Jean Mattingly of Bardstown, one sister-in-law, Margaret Cross of Campbellsville. Anita Ruth Carlquist of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Collins and Julia Kewder Collins, was born December 18, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois. She died at 7:22 P.M., Sunday, February 22, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 77 She united in marriage to Roger Carl Larry Carlquist. He preceded her in death June 21, 2007. She is survived by two daughters and two sons: Kathleen Smith of Campbellsville, Wendy Albright of Machesney Park, Illinois, Lee Carlquist of St. Charles, Illinois and Bill Carlquist of Sugar Grove, Illinois; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister: Donald Collins of San Jose, California and Norma Jean Collins Orlando of Campbellsville; several other relatives and many friends. Dewey Miller of Campbellsville, son of the late Stiles Mixon Miller and Virgie Wright Miller, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, on July 10, 1931. He died at 10:40 A.M., Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 77 He professed his faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a retired painter and drywall contractor. He united in marriage to Dorothy Lee Bradshaw December 29, 1952. Besides his wife, Dorothy Miller of Campbellsville, he is survived by three daughters: Tibby Altman of Greensburg, Pam and Buster Tucker of Berea and Jenny and Rev. Dr. Damon E. Allen

Dr. Damon E. Allen of Campbellsville, son of the late John W. Allen and Nannie White Allen, was born in Fordsville, Kentucky, January 19, 1921. He died at 4:27 P.M., Sunday, February 15, 2009 in Elizabethtown. Age: 88 He professed his faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He attended Ohio State University and received his Doctor of Optometry at Northern Illinois School of Optometry in Chicago. He was three time past president of the Kentucky Optometric Association and a member of the American Optometric Association. He lobbied for and was instrumental in getting a bill passed for optometrist to prescribe medication for their patients. He was honored by the Kentucky Optometric Association as the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award by the award being named after him and future awards will bear his name. He was also chosen to be a member of ldquo;Doctors Without Warsrdquo;. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army Air Corps as a bombardier. He is a member of the American Legion. He was a very active member of the Campbellsville Lions Club for many years; a charter member of the Campbellsville Country Club; and a pilot and aerial photographer who was instrumental in photographing the area that is now Green River Lake State Park. He united in marriage to Shirley Brooks April 16, 1944. She preceded him in death August 18, 2006. He is survived by four sons and two daughters and their spouses: John B. and Cathy Allen of Campbellsville, Damon E. Allen, Jr. of Southington, Connecticut, Richard R. Allen of Rossville, Tennessee, Robert Bradley and Yvonne Allen of San Antonio, Texas, Linda A. Pearl and Sherry A. Williams of Bowling Green; fifteen grandchildren: Christopher Allen, Deeann Romeika, Nicholas Allen, Shannon Piper, Nick Pearl, Emily Pearl, Kelly Jhamb, Laura Pearl, Ryan N. Allen, Jenny Allen, Damon Adam Williams, Hayley Brook Allen, Seth Clayton Allen, Robert B. Allen II, and John R. Dr. Philip M. Lee of Campbellsville, son of the late Donald W. Lee and Esther Fields Lee was born in South Bend, Indiana on June 29, 1935. He died at 5:00 A.M., Sunday, February 15, 2009 in Campbellsville. Age: 73 He professed his faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He attended Notre Dame Law School, completed his Master#39;s Degree at Purdue University and earned his Ph.D. in Business at the University of Iowa. He retired from Campbellsville University in 2000, where he served as Professor and Chairman of the Business Department. He united in marriage to Kay L. Conley July 3, 1954. Besides his wife, Kay L. Lee of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons and two daughters and their spouses, Cynthia K. and Jerry Purdy of Collierville, Tennessee, Donald W. and Sharon Lee of Bangalore, India, Christine and Gamini Sooriyah-Arachchi of Campbellsville, and John David and Alison Lee of Olive Branch, Mississippi; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Lee of South Bend, Indiana and J. Mrs. Sylvia Quinn, age 80, died Monday, February 9, 2009, at the Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Rollin and Mary Lou Pike Reynolds. She was united in marriage to Birl H. Quinn on February 15, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 15, 1993. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jasper Reynolds, Ray Reynolds, and Kenneth Reynolds, and two sisters, Mildred Milby and Ethel Davis. She is survived by one brother, Dallas Reynolds of Elkhorn and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. There will be a private visitation.
