Jeff H. Campbell,Sr. age 87, of South Court St, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Springview Hospital after an illness. He was the son of the late Luther and Mary Cave Campbell. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Elizabeth Goodman, Bertha Willis and Minni Rice. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Deborah Campbell, Jr. Of Campbellsville and one daughter, Mary Campbell of Campbellsville, three grandchildren, Miranda Lathery, Jeff Campbell, III and Tempest Star Campbell. The family chose cremation with memorial services to be conducted on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home.

Everett Lewis ldquo;Duderdquo; Barnett of Campbellsville, son of the late William Blain Barnett and Mary Liza Johnson Barnett, was born February 10, 1920, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:39 P.M., Monday, January 12, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 88 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Bourbon Cooperage. He united in marriage to Ora Mae Lawson in March, 1942. Besides his wife, Ora Mae Barnett, of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons: Wanda Perkins and husband, William, Thomas Barnett and wife, Patsy, and Michael Barnett and wife, Fredia of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Tanya Perkins and Alan-Michael Barnett of Campbellsville, Stephanie Wingler and husband, Anthony, of Alabama and Melissa Followell of Elizabethtown; four great-grandchildren: Kristin Wingler, Brandon Wingler, Samantha Followell and Tyler Followell; three brothers and three sisters: Leonard Barnett, Richard Barnett and Mary Kathryn Lawson of Campbellsville, Velma Christerson of Tennessee, Esther Roberts of Illinois and Ralph Barnett of Mt. Washington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Jimmy Wayne Atwell December 23, 1994. Norman Shofner of Campbellsville, son of the late Homer Shofner and Bessie Jane Brewer Shofner, was born March 6, 1930, in Bullitt County, Kentucky. He died at 9:35 A.M., Monday, January 12, 2009, in Elizabethtown. Age: 78 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the New Bethelem Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. He united in marriage to Linda Bernice Wright April 21, 1994. Besides his wife, Linda Bernice Shofner, of Campbellsville, he is survived by one sister-in-law, Velda Stevenson and husband, Howard, of Hodgenville; one niece, Vinessa Johnson and husband, Jeff, of Hodgenville; three great-nieces and nephews: Candace Tims and husband, Dan of Campbellsville, Joshua Johnson and wife, Kelly of Louisville and Justin Johnson and wife, Melissa of Hodgenville; four great-great-nieces and nephews: Derek Biven of Hodgenville, Hallie Grace Johnson of Louisville, Paige Tims and Dalton Tims of Campbellsville and many other relatives and friends. Richard Kenneth Humphress, age 75, of Knifley Road, Elkhorn died Sunday, January 4, 2009, at his residence after an illness. He was the son of the late William G. And Maude Chappel Humphress. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Keith Humphress. He was a member of the Christie Chapel Methodist Church, Knifley Volunteer Fire Department, Easter Star and Masonic Lodge and Disabled American Vets. Bonnie Lee Benedict, age 63, of Feathercreek Road, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009, at the Taylor Regional Hospital after a sudden illness. She is the daughter of the late Jesse Roy and Della Richardson. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law and one daughter and son-in-law, Rodney and Shelia Benedict of Maryland, Bobby Benedict of Indiana and Bessie and Coy Callahan of Campbellsville. Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive along with three sisters and brother-in-laws, Jamie and Steve Spencer and Joan and Lonnie Wilson all of Waynesburg, and Lena Martin of Danville. Oscar Shipp of Campbellsville, son of the late Joseph Samuel Shipp and Georgia Earhart Shipp, was born July 25, 1922, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:40 A.M., Tuesday, January 6, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 86 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church. He was a retired farmer and had also been employed by the Taylor County ASCS Office and the Corp of Engineers. He united in marriage to Virginia Franklin December 24, 1941. Lynwood Durham of Campbellsville, son of the late Irvin Durham and Ora Clark Durham, was born June 3, 1926, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:12 A.M., Monday, January 5, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 82 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Navy where he was a Seaman First Class and received the Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was retired from Fawcett-Dearing Printing Company in Louisville and later worked at Kroger after moving back to Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Dorothy Cave March 8, 1948. She preceded him in death January 5, 2004. He later united in marriage to Mary Lois Druin April 15, 2006. Besides his wife, Mary Lois Durham, of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and two sons: Dianna Ross of Dayton, Ohio, Mike Durham and wife, Teresa of Louisville and Dr. Terry Durham and wife, Carole Dawn of Glasgow; one step-daughter, Sue Ellen Pike and husband, Chuck of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Julie Gore, Jarrad Durham, Lindsay Durham and Ryan Durham of Louisville and Brent Durham and wife, Linda of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Taryn Durham of Glasgow; three great-grandchildren: Brianna Gore of Louisville, Christian Durham and Owen Durham of Floyds Knobs, Indiana; two brothers and two sisters: Mary Frances Blakeman, Loretta Willis, Oden Ray Durham and James Durham of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
