Eddie Yates of Finley, son of the late Charlie Yates and Lillie Graham Yates, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, October 5, 1915. He died at 11:30 P.M., Monday, September 22, 2008, in Campbellsville. Age: 92 He was a retired carpenter. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Rinnie Sanders and she preceded him in death. He later united in marriage to Geneva Cave June 26, 1965. She preceded him in death March 14, 2007. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Sue Yates of Finley; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dixie Wise of Campbellsville and Catherine England of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two daughters. Harry Scalos of Campbellsville, son of the late Harry Scalos, Sr. and Nancy Larrison Scalos, was born in Richmond, Kentucky, May 17, 1927. He died at 2:05 P.M., Monday, September 22, 2008, in Campbellsville. Age: 81 He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, having served in the United States Army. He was a retired professor of the School of Business and Economics Department at Campbellsville University from 1959-1992. He united in marriage to Joan Spencer April 11, 1951. She preceded him in death May 27, 2005. Elozie Dean Franklin of Jamestown, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Toley Arthur Warren and Ethel Josephine Hash Warren, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, December 29, 1931. She died at 8:05 P.M., Monday, September 22, 2008, in Russell Springs. Age: 76 She had been employed as a waitress. Willard LeRoy LaCrosse age 72 of Campbellsville, formerly of Wisconsin passed away Sunday at the Grandview Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Willard Leroy and Elaine LaCrosse Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife Alma Virginia LaCrosse, on step grandson, Kevin Blaydes. He was a former co-owner of the Active Ad Signs. He is survived by one step-son and two step-daughters, Perry Blaydes and Rita Bilger of Campbellsville, and Twanna Lee of West Virginia, two brothers and one sister, Dennis LaCrosse of Michigan, John LaCrosse and Rosa LaCrosse both of Wisconsin, and six step-grandchildren. Family chose cremation Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Edmon Miller, 82, of Campbellsville, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Medco Nursing Home after an illness. He was the son of the late Herlie and Mattie Skaggs Miller, he was born on August 8, 1926 in Marion County, Kentucky. He was united in marriage to Christine Thompson Miller on December 22, 1943. She preceded him in death in October 2000. He was retired owner and operator of Miller Lumber Company and a farmer. He was a member of the Mt. Washington Baptist Church where he served as deacon for 54 years and song leader for 41 years. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Miller, Charlie Miller, Chester Earl Miller and three sisters, Kate Bell, Gladys Thompson and Mary Pearl Miller.
