Donald Cox

Donald Edmond Cox, 67, of Campbellsville, joined our Lord in heaven on Thursday, December 25, 2008. His departure came unexpectedly following complications from surgery. A native of Mannsville, he was born January 19, 1941 to the late Houston Cox and Beechel (Tungate) Cox, he was also preceded in death by one infant son and one brother, David Cox. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Linda Faye (Perkins) Cox of 49 years; they were united in marriage on April15, 1959. Together they have three daughters and one son: Donna (Lenuel) Eastridge of Marysville, OH; Teresa (Terry) Walker of Elkhorn, Dwayne Cox of Campbellsville and Michelle (Corey) Foster of Elizabethtown; a special family member, Mary Kaye Cox; and a treasured pet, Sophie. He deeply cherished the time with his 9 grandchildren: Matthew (Alecia) Eastridge of Beaumont, Texas, Megan (Justin) McCreary of Marysville, OH; Terri Ann (Cody) Wicker, Traci Walker, Nathan Cox and Makayla Cox of all of Campbellsville; and Zach Reynolds, Chole Foster and Zane Foster of Elizabethtown; and one great-grandson, Graden McCreary of Marysville, OH. He is survived by four siblings and their spouses Wilma (Robert) Boston of Acton, Dalton (Kathleen) Cox of Elkhorn, Danny Dale (Mary Nell) Cox, and Beverly Sue Cox both of Campbellsville; and one sister-in-law, Marcella Cox, of Campbellsville. He was also survived a host of nieces and nephews and many friends. He was a charter member of the Mannsville Separate Baptist Church. After 39 years of employment, he retired from Parker-Kalon in May, 2003, where he also served as a union steward for several years. He was currently employed by A-1 Performance medical transport, which he found to be very rewarding and built close relationships with the patients. He will be deeply missed, but we must remember that he left this unfit world to enjoy an eternity of happiness with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Read More

Donna Bland of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie A. Beard and Mona Mann Beard, was born August 23, 1956, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She had been employed as a cutter at Fruit of the Loom for twenty years. Morris Vinson Tucker, Jr was born on April 7, 1927 in Louisville, Ky to the late Rev. Morris V. Tucker,Sr and Elizabeth Risen Tucker. He departed this life, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at his residence having attained the age of 81. He graduated from Greensburg High Scool in 1945 and later attended the University of Louisville School of Music. He married Martha Abell Tucker on January 13, 1957. He was co-founder of Tucker face=WP TypographicSymbols=s Jewelry Store. He was a Registered Jeweler (RJ) of American Gem Society, a Certified Gemologist (CG) of American Gem Society, a Graduate Gemologist (GG) of Gemological Institute of America. He was also a Charter Member of Campbellsville Downtown Business Association, Former Professional Jazz Musician – (Trumpet), a Shriner and 32 degree Mason, Past President of Campbellsville Country Club, an Avid Golfer and a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife, Martha Abell Tucker of Campbellsville, two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas M and Kathleen Tucker of Campbellsville, and Dr. Donald W.
