She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sherwood Sanders, two brothers, William Curtis Wethington and Joseph Jessie Wethington, one sister Frances Ehrich Wethington. He was a member of the Christies Chapel Methodist Church where he had been a song leader, Sunday school teacher, and trustee. He was also a former member of the Adair County School Board.
