Sherman E. DeSpain, age 95, of South Carden Street, Campbellsville, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Flaget Memorial Hospital after an illness. He is the son of the late, Joe and Lizzie Nelson DeSpain. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Elzie DeSpain. He is survived by his wife, Altha Allen DeSpain of Campbellsville, three sons, Larry DeSpain, Donnie DeSpain both of Campbellsville, Lerman DeSpain of Illinois, two step daughters, Barbara Bell of Lebanon and Frances Cook of Campbellsville, sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Tessie Underwood of Georgia, along with nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Sherman E.
